Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure what the script header exatly is. When I imported this into one room, it worked for this room:
import function takeright();

But it doesn't seem to work If I just put it into the global script.

@Ben: How could you know that you have to take a bee with you in my next game ;)

Sorry for the unspecific topic.

I use a specific 'Take/use'-Animation very often in my games. So I often have to copy commands like this in my script:
player.LockView(65);
player.Animate(2, 5, eOnce, eBlock);
player.UnlockView();

I'm sure there's a simple way to make this more easygoing for me. I would like to replace chains of command like these by a shorter command like: player.takeright;
What do I have to do?

If I had a beard, I would have totally gotten beard envy from that first screenshot.
Seriously, have three so impressive beards ever graced a single screenshot simultaneously before?

The first episode also had impressive beards ;D

But beware, there will also be unbearded characters... well at least the kids and the women...

Of course, everybody wants to know what happend 500 B.C. somewhere in Bavaria, where the game
Cold Meat
took place ;D. Soon will be the time to explore more secrets in the next episode of 'Celtic Chaos'.

Episode one: cold mead showed you the world of Nektom, the strong, brave and stupid miner.
Soon the saga continues with Limfor, the slighly smarter and less strong and brave fishermen.
Since the other celts never take Limfor with them when they pillage the nearest towns, he is chosen to bring an important message to the druid of the neighboring town. But it's not so easy for a Celt to be on a diplomatic mission...

Progress:
- graphics 99%
- puzzles 95%
- scripting 95%
- music 100%
- story 100%

Release date: january 2010

Looks interesting and I like to see that I even inspired more people to create a game  than I already did ;D

Hey Khris, you're so predictable.

DrWhite asked me, if I know a solution. I said, if you post your question, Khris will answer you. ;D

Besides, there are loads of other really good freeware adventure games out there that are medium and long in scope  :=

I have the feeling that good short games attract a lot more attention than good longer games in the last time. Okay, Ben's game get a lot of attention because he already made extraordinary games. But for me it's a bit frustrating to see, that Ben's games or other good short game like 'Star Trek: Newton' have a panel review after a few days and other longer good games have to wait for months.

Just some feedback for your demo: I would prefer to use the arrow-keys instead of the mouse.

Since english is not my mother tongue, the amount of text in the intro and during the game was really too much for me and very exhausting.

I really enjoyed your game. I escpecially like the relation between Paul and his robots.
It's pretty cool that you work with those unique visuals styles.

Man, this looks so good, like ToSS.
Do you want to use the standard Sierra-Gui?

I mean we have the Maniac Mansion game, a remake of that and then another remake in a different style. Is it really necessary? How does that advance gaming?

A good question. Since both remakes are made by germans, I asked the same question in the german AGS-forum.
The people from the MM 3D-projects said, that it is their goal not to make another MM-remake but to establish their 3D-adventure-engine.
The people from the MM-DOTT-project said, that they do not stick too closely to the original MM, but to alter the puzzles, add new ones, add new characters and that it will be a new game that feels like a mix between MM and DOTT.

I still prefer to create my own universe, than to alter the universe of someone else.

Sorry, for not beeing useful as a beta-tester.

Very impressive. I would love to play arround with a plug-in and try to create a jump'n'run.

One (very minor) remark: personally I don't like the Sierra GUI that much (I find cycling through cursors clumsy). I wonder if I am the only one who repeatedly: a)cycled the cursor to interact b)clicked on a door c)got error message d)[bad words] d)cycled again 'till walk mode e)did it right finally :P

You're not alone bicilotti.

Thanks, solved the problem. I hate it when I get stuck because I can't find a hotspot.

Finished it.

* Inappropriate violence (non-graphical)
* Misguided sense of humor

That's why I enjoyed the game very much ;D

My first MAGS-game had a beard as an inventory item, but you had to break out not in...
