For those who don't know, I'm a die-hard Jason Voorhees fan(Until they made him all sissy-like in Freddy vs Jason), so you can imagine it's a great honor for me to be on the Friday the 13th fan art page.   :D

It's drawn with a mouse in flash, so it's nothing special. But it's there!

(I'm HillBillyWorm, by the way).

So, anybody else have a crush on horror movies from the 80's? Or do you find them just plain stupid? I know I still like 'em.

Yep, the MIDI maker trial is out, and I need a somewhat talented musician to do some music for a game I'm making. It don't need to be something super-advanced symphony made in 3 weeks. All I need is something simple that wont take much of your time to make. :)

Hello!

I'm currently using midi maker for my MIDI's and I need a tip from someone who has been working with MIDI's longer than me. Everytime I'm trying to make a background MIDI, it gets kind of "depressive/sad/seriously negative/scary". I don't know how to say this in english, but everything turns out in "MOLL". I need it to be "DUR". Slow, but happy. So, I was wondering if someone knows what instruments that's best to use for this? Everytime I try the flute, trombone, tuba, trompet it fits more like background music for Maniac Mansion 1 or something. I've noticed that the high hat fits nice, but it gets boring, and I need to add some more. Which only get it in "MOLL".

To make it short: What instruments is best if I want to have a happy, yet slow background tune?

Okay, the story goes like this: It's a beautiful summer day, and Joe(Joseph) must still go to school. If that wasn't enough, his whole class(including him) did it so bad on the last math test that the teacher has informed them to practise math all day! Joe exuses himself to go to the toilet, but is really trying to escape. The doors leading outside is locked shut during lesson, so Joe must use his imagination. Can you help him out before it's too late(Okay, it's never "too late". You can use as much time as you want...)?!

I've finished most of the hard stuff this week, and I hope to get this game done as soon as possible.

Okay, I've been using a few hours last night, and around 2 today, to figure this out. I've been searching in the forum, the manual, websites and checking other games. Unfortantly, none of them seem to solve my problem:

I want the background(640x200) to scroll from the right side to the left. Whitout the character(I've hidden him), while it displays text in the centre. I also need it to scroll slow.

Is there any way to solve this?

This is the close up of an teacher I made in paint. I've already made the talking animation, but I wanna know if there is any way to improve it before I continue. If it's perfect/have some errors that I'll correct, I will post the animation later. Thanks!

Right, I'm gonna try to make this as short as possible:

I'm gonna make a intro cutscene with the hero on the floor, sleeping. So, therefore I need to aware AGS that it's a start of a cutscene, putting the StartCutscene (1); action there. Next, I remove the GUI's, using the GUIOff (0); and GUIOff (2); actions. After that, I start the sleeping animation:

I test the game, but when the scene start, I can in about 1 second see the GUI, and that EGO stands(Front walking animation first frame). Is there any way to make this go away?  ???

Just in case someone didn't understand, here's the cutscene(I removed the text so it wouldn't spoil the storyline for later):

EDIT: While I'm at it: The background seems to f*ck up sometimes. Any reason for that? The relative size is 320x200 even the game is 640x400. If that's the problem, is there any way to change it?

Well! Turns out I have been using an old version of AGS all the time! Anyway, this means i need to change all the background and create the game in 640x400 and I've JUST finished the first background. Behold:



I don't really liked the way it turned out. Too much space. Any suggestion on what i can fill the room up with(I really wanna replace the dart board with something, but NO PICTURES!), or is it fine?

(Hey, anyone noticed that the speakers reminds hell of alot about those in DOTT? I just discovered.)

Right, I've been using the last HOUR on trying to figure out something that should be a easy code. I want that GUI 3 (MENU) to show up when you press ESC. I've tried

Right, I've been snooking around in the technical archive a bit, and i came over this toturial: http://www.digitalmindstudio.ch/script.php?id=4&langue=en

Yeah, that seemed alright. But i wanted to create the inventory at the bottom of the screen, so i had to do some changes. Still, when i try to pick up an object, it won't go to the inventory box. There is probably some n00bish solution on this, since i'm such a crappy coder. This is the script i used:

Well, seeing there's a time since i've been working on AGS, and i have somewhat improved my artwork, I also changed the mainperson in a new and improved game.

That sure sounded like a sale pitch.

Anyway, here's the new and old Wayne. So? Any better? Room for improvements?

I just used the last few hours on this library in MS paint. I think it turned out pretty good, but i wanna know what you guys/guyettes think. Is there something you don't like, is there more i can add, and stuff like that. Here's Step-By-Step how i made it:



(I know .JPG and .GIF looks ugly, but use your imagination and pretend is .BMP)
Right, here i just started out the shape. Green walls, wooden floor, and a door.



Here i added some bookshelfes(or whatever). But still, i forgot to buy books.



Just a rug, so it wont seem so empty and alone.  :'(



At last, the books! Have you ever tried drawing books from diffrent angels than front? It takes time!


And now, to finish; Forground.

There we are. I wasent too picky on the perspective, since i want it to be more cartoonish.

So, any C&C? God, it feels good to come back to AGS again.

I cant fix it so the thing next to the inventory button shows the last item you used... Does anybody know this?  :)

Does anybody know how you remove a object from another room than you are in? Like, if you are in room 13, and then you press a button or whatever, then object 0 in room 15 will be removed.

Finally, after now gettin' ADSL i can publish this long-time demo on the net!

It's about a guy, someone have hamsternapped his hamster. And not just anyone; Its the evil doctor Pete. And he aint just any doctor. He is a stupid one, and aint really a real doctor. More will be spoiled in the full game.  :)
