I thought cows were female.

I'd say it somewhere around medium.

However, "almost done" does not mean "almost released". Believe me, I really can't wait to get this out, but at this moment my hands are tied. I appreciate the support, though.  :)

Quote from: Footer on Sat 27/01/2007 14:14:53Hi HillBilly, since I am among those who is eagerly waiting for your game to be completed, and given that you lost one of your voices, may I apply to substitute him? Do you need a male voice? If yes, than I may try to help you. Just let me know what I have to do. Here is my email: dave.c82@virgilio.it

Thanks for the offer, but since the voice actor already has recorded about 90% of that character, it'll be complicated. The finished recordings are implemented in both the game and in the movie cutscenes, so it would be hard to replace them.

However, if this keeps up for too much longer, I don't seem to have another choice.

So I guess I should mention the reason this hasn't been released yet is because I've suddenly lost contact with the second voice actor and the programmer.

Everything is done except that.

A new game(for PC) here is around 500 nok. That's about $76.

However, I think most people have the economy to handle it. But still not cheap.

Of course. But some things are alot more probable than others.

Quote from: rmullen on Sun 15/10/2006 20:00:59This is the same rebellion against God that was started back in the Garden of Eden.

I'm just going to take this sentence out of context to ask you something: Most of the christians I've discussed christianity with, claims that alot of the content in the old testament(Garden of Eden, Noah's ark etc) is symbolic. What's your stand on this?

If you have trouble with spelling, I'd give SpellCheck a try. For grammar, I recommend school.

Also, alot of the links are linked wrong. ('http://www.c1ph3r.as.ro/www.classic-gaming.net' instead of 'http://www.classic-gaming.net')

Quote from: Helm on Fri 06/10/2006 13:11:28DON'T give me a walk pointer and then rob me of the ability to walk in toxic waste. DON'T give me a gun and then tell me 'I don't want to kill these innocent people!'. Bad design.

I think it's designed that way to prevent the player from "accidently" shooting an important NPC, resulting in just wandering around with no way of completing the game. You're not only controlling a character, you're playing a role. It would be a little out of place for Leisure Suit Larry to suddenly stab a hooker in the face, or Barnard to wrestle a pack of alligators just for kicks.

Quote from: Ali on Fri 06/10/2006 14:26:34I disagree that this is necessarily bad design. The freedom to do those kind of things is a great boon to some games, but not all. Player character free will is not bad design in itself, it is a problem when it MASKS bad design, as in the example I mention above.

I agree. I find the usual adventure game hero to be an awkward guy between 14-25 years old, and sometimes a passive-agressive sissy. You'll get dirt under your fingernails if you go through the trash? Too bad. I want that trash. I think the key here, as you say, is making a balance between personality and objectives.

Quote from: Ali on Fri 06/10/2006 14:26:34If the character is to be anything other than a puppet or a suicidal sociopath then they ought to refuse to walk into toxic waste or shoot bystanders.

I'm hoping for this to be possible in Earl Mansin 2, if I ever get around to it.

Quote from: SSH on Thu 05/10/2006 18:29:22And its not as if God hasn't left a bunch of people round trying to convert everyone.

These guys, for example.

And to think if they were born in Kentucky or something, they'd probably be christians.

Quote from: Timosity on Wed 04/10/2006 07:13:13Just on gun laws in any country: gun laws can make it harder to get weapons, but if someone really wants a gun they can get one in any country, there is a huge black market out there.

If I were myself and wanted to go on a killing spree, I'd have no idea how to get anything more than a hunting rifle, and maybe a pistol. Well, except from going to America, buy some shotguns and stuff there, and head back. I've had friends doing this.

Seriously, I don't see why anything stronger than a handgun is legal. If someone's breaking into your property, you don't need your latest Deth-Bringa 3000 K-57 34.2mm Mini-Gun with automatic condom dispensers. I'm sure a decent .22 is more than enough to atleast cripple the guy.
