General Discussion / Re:Game theory discussion

The "getting drunk" part holds special appeal.

I do like the idea though. Discussing MI and other games we see around here are fun to look at from an analytical perspective. Even from a critical perspective, for some.

This special "forum" should then host several topics at the same time, to accomodate the various things people would like to discuss, I think.

Hahaha, wonder if Indy would dance to this? :)

But seriously: It captures that "jazz" feeling very well. Excellent submission!

We could use the forums I use for my game. It's not visited anyhow, so I could make a seperate area there which only specific people could enter...

...however, I would love to see this discussion to take place here. I think intelligent discussion can actually happen here, as long as people stick to the rules, think about what they write and not simply post gibberish.

"Gibberish."

Oops.

;)

Because he needs the key? :)

Try looking for it somewhere in the house...

LOL!!!

You should try and get Celine to sing along to this. ;)

Fun!

What do you know... it works! :)

I've now solved it. Thanks!

Hints & Tips / MAGS: Donnie Darko help needed

I'm at the last task where I have the pliers, the twig and the paperclip. I have the feeling that I'm missing something... I can't seem to open the Lil' Misses shop!

Minime, I really suggest you visit www.curiouslabs.com. Poser is a graphics program that allows you to create people very easily. It's from the same branch as Bryce (MetaCreations originally before they went bankrupt).

So, you can easily import from Poser into Bryce. And it's a lot easier to animate your character using their supplied models.

I managed to download it without any problems...

It's indeed not a game to be played when you're feeling down. As said before, it's... odd. I just stopped playing for a moment, but it's still in me head.

Arrgh. :)

Glad to hear you like it!

Yes, the demo does have an ending, so you'll be able to get some satisfaction from "finishing it". :)

Thanks. :)

Now, if ever you need a piano player for your wedding... you know where to find me. ;)

The problem is that the first 10 seconds is just the usual improv I usually play... after that I try to cover a soundtrack.

*grins* But, thank you anyway.

Ok... I've decided to enter a Tune Contest for the first time...

File url: http://www.unosar.com/T2.mp3

It's an MP3 file covering our beloved Arnold-Themesong from T2. On piano. Hope it's ok. :)

LOL! Five minutes into the demo and I'm already stuck.

How does one get up the cliff?! :)

Lovely demo, btw! The graphics look funny, and the dialogue had me laughing out loud.

Couldn't help myself. Sorry. :)

I like this idea as well!

As for placing the responsibility of on-topicness to the person currently hosting the discussion: I think this should work. However, strict rules should work here as well. Unless you're going to give a good statement and respond to what has written before, your post will be deleted.

One-liners, monologues and such will be judged unacceptable.

I think that if you follow that guideline, moderating should be a breeze.

Update: 21st of July.

Demo now online!

Look at the first post for details. :)

I think the song that got me the most this year has been "Mad World", the cover by Gary Jules and Michael Andrews. It was just such a lovingly composed tune complete with fantastic lyrics by Tears for Fears.

Not that I feel like the lyrics, e.g. I'm not like "the dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had". But it's just so beautiful, I can't help connecting with it on a rather deep personal level.

Or you could visit www.scummvm.org

In their daily CVS version of their program, it can run BASS in Windows XP.

So, they must have found a way of decompiling it. Perhaps they know of an extraction program? Not sure how they'll respond though, since I never tried contacting them.... they're a bit careful for things that might have legal repercussions, since LucasArts once tried to shut them down.

Loved every single word! The reviews and interviews were particularly good. Well, the Daisy one didn't make that much sense, but somehow I think that's supposed to be the case.

The layout is indeed perfect. It's effective. Most web developers go for the eye candy and forget that a website still has to serve its function: give information. You hit the mark here!

A small question though, on the Articles. If I want to write one and it was of such quality that you would publish it, would you?

Oh, and I'll ask Unilin something soon. *grin*

Once again, nice work!
