CJ, your 100% correct there. Without these people, people like us would go insane without our happy meals and people to look down at.  ;)

QuoteWhy is it better to get a 16-year-old pregnant than a 15-year-old?

Because a 16 year old is probably out of school. A 15 year old isn't.

I don't quite get you Tuomas. I'm very bad at spotting other people's jokes. I'm also waiting for anticipation of getting my post ripped to shreds by Helm. It's almost a social event on these forums these days. :p

Trust me. You need to meet these people.

No, their not all slut-whore daemonettes. Just about 50% of them, and the rest gloss theirs up so much they might as well be...

EDIT: You haven't fully grasped the full impact of Thatcher's dismantling of the welfare state until you see former teenage mothers with their pregnant fifteen year old daughters.

Like it or lump it, the biggest reason why you should NEVER sleep with anyone under the age of 16 is the risk of pregnancy.

To be honest, around here (in the decaying heart of industrial lancashire), I got told in March that of 30 people in my history class (15 boys and 15 girls) 22 of them had had adult relationships. This was 22 15/16 year olds. And I was reliably informed that 15 or so of them had been doing it since they were 13. The vast majority of these were girls, although some were guys. Other than 3 or 4 of them, they were the run of the mill chav-minded people. Chav's + History Lesson + 4 bright guys = My with my head in my hands the vast majority of the time.

Simply put, the majority of people in my class were non-virgins. The vast majority of those were idiotic chavs. Helm - using my own jaded descriptions - got "chavved" by one particular air head.

Simply put, if you were an 18 year old in my local area of average intelligence, you'd be able to commit a crime with a child very very easily. And whats more, it would be just a case of turning up at a "party" with a few beers and waiting for them to start getting woozy. This is what the majority of young people around here think a relationship is. The thing is, none of the people I mentioned are worth getting to know at all, unless you want to talk about other girls that they know and Eastenders...

In fact, socially, their exactly the same as the "soccer team" example used.

My final point is this: Abstinence won't kill you in any sence of the word. Mainly due to combined religious and self-preservation insticts, I'm planning on keeping it up for a very long time yet.

PS: It is interesting at least to note different attitudes in different countries. Also note that genetically, certain countries develop faster than others. Examples are the German and Scandanavian genetic stocks.

Out of interest, what do you lot think would actually happen if someone came out tomorrow and said "guns are now completely illegal everywhere in the USA"? I honestly can't see any difference in the end to the vast majority of cases...

... so why does the law exist if it promotes the use of killy weaponry for no actually gain to the american public? Is owning a gun just for owning a guns sake these days? If the law does not in fact do anything, it should be removed IMHO.

My personal opinion here is that guns are bad and should be outlawed. That is because guns kill people, and if the American government can arrest someone for conspiracy to blow themselves up purely because they build themselves a bomb as a dumb idea for a boring sunday, then why can't someone be arrested for conspiracy to kill 32 people when he buys a handgun so he can go to the shooting range?

Logically though, if guns are outlawed then the police can arrest someone for carrying a gun. This is opposed to a criminal carrying a gun and is unable to be arrested.

I think that the series needs refreshing. I think that having some sort of amalgamation would not be a bad idea.

A big problem with Reality-On-The-Norm was the fact that several people acted very childishly in the creation of some of the games, some of the games were terrible as a result, and a certain person wrecked half of it by abusing the entire idea of a timeline to kill off the biggest character in a very stupid way. Hence why I feel that the entire RON idea needs a timeline fastforward of about 4 years. (to the present day) And, sadly, some sort of regulation system to stop very poor games becomeing a chapter in the history of RON.

Personally I'd like the idea of saying: Right, that's it. Done. Let's start again. But many people would disagree with me on that point.

Heck, if this became a proper AGS thing, I'd definatly make a game for it. Combine some of the old RON stuff with new RON stuff and see how it goes.

Meh. Norton's just dumb bloatware from my experiance. The last time I got a virus, I just downloaded AVG Anti-virus and destroyed the bugger. Then removed AVG. Anti-virus software destroys viruses easily, but it's when you leave them to do nothing at all that they start going crazy.

EDIT: Curiously, AOL actually stopped those Messenger pop ups for me via their automatic computer checker. One of the few things I liked about AOL was the fact that it did a few complicated tasks like that really easily. It's a shame that AOL UK is now owned by Carphone Warehouse, and my connection has become very bad, very very fast.

That was one bloody weird dream you had. := Your playing HL2 a little too much I see. Go take some paracetamol and get back to bed!

Threadomancy. Woo.

Everybody let this thread die now. We should start a new topic if anyone's interested in continuing the debate.

BIOS stands for Basic Input Output System. It basically is the equivalent of the guy who comes to the theatre at about 4am on the day of a performance to make sure everything's there, nothing's broken and to make sure all the drunk celebrity's arn't still there from last night.

That's possibly the dumbest explanation for a BIOS ever. :p

Broken Sword 2 and Bass were the first two adventure games I have played to completion, although the first adventure I ever played was FOA. Revolution are probably the oldest adventure game company that still make adventure games (sort of.)

BASS = Awsome. End of.

PS: I'm glad that, when I was a 13 year old that started on this forum, I didn't act like some of the more famous youths on this forum...

Mr Flibble, you have just single handedly split my sides with laughter at that scam, and half convinced me to check out somethingawful.com a bit more regulary. Cheers!   ;)

And the website I was reffering to is http://www.419eater.com/index.htm . And I'm SURE there was a mention of this sort of scam before on this forum... It's probably my poor memory having a laugh at my expence again. Need more coffee.

I'd reccomend you walk away from the deal. I've seen something like this before on here (it was about someone who sold a laptop on ebay and never got the money I think) and it reeks of that nambian scam... the 419 or whatever it's called? Obscure companies may equal fake companies.

PS: There was a website for this kinda thing... 419haters.com or something like that. The topic might also be on the forum still, unless CJ has cleared the archive sometime in the last year.

General Discussion / Re: The nintendo Wii
Thu 30/11/2006 16:22:39
Oooh. I'm commenting.

The problem is, everybody's flinging themselves behind one particular console. Not like that's a bad thing or anything... but isn't the Wii designed to be the best friend of the worst of enemies?

And to lay to rest something about graphics that was said... I'm 15. I happen to love sprite art. However, blurred skins in a game usually make me cringe, so I prefer games with crystal clear graphics. For instance, I happen to love playing on the 360 in my local game. The graphics are awsome to the third degree. But what do I do when I go home? I play on my PS2 and RUNESCAPE.

For the record, I'm staying out of the fight until three years in when the PS3 is somewhere in my price range. Or I might get the Wii. I don't know.

PS: Only 25 more days until I get my hands on DBZ Boudaki Tenachi 2! If your looking for a neat and dynamic fighting game, and you've played Tekken to death... Just a thought. :P
