I think the pumpkin in the top left of that last picture is REALLY scary.  :=

Happy Halloween ev'rybody! (And wish me luck against bands of maurauding teens armed with eggs and faxe axes.) :-\

Pro's of Halloween:
1)Costume Parties
2)Interesting Candy
3)Horror Films
4)Fun costumes (and oodles of fake blood)

Con's of Halloween
1)Moronic Teens running racket's consisting of "give us 10 quid each and we won't throw eggs and/or rocks at your house" and doing it to every single house in the local area. (With non-existant costumes btw)
2)4 or 5 year olds knocking on doors (with costumes) two or three weeks early.
3)Children walking around in the countryside (often 4 or 5) alone or without ANY adults with them. Especially with it getting dark at 4pm most days.

Halloween is a good time to stay indoors and have a party/sleepover. Some people just exploit it into stupid ways.

Sort of Edit: Just to back what Vel said, you can simply say "This is a christian country. You can't stop me celebrating a national holiday."

Squinky...  ::)

Anyways, when buying presents, I always go down the hobby route. If you both play chess, I'd suggest maybe buying something chess related. Like a book or something.  :-\

And this is me, sitting in front of a comuter looking through my TGC cards...

How times have changed.  ;)

I was new once... in fact, I still am...

*Hides under sofa*

The great thing about the net is that you can express your thoughts through those very letters you type, rather than your vocal chords. Most of you would hate me in real life. I talk too much too fast, am clingy and look stupid. Where as...

Wait... nevermind  ;D

For constitution, I'd initially think of something like a barbarian. Seeing as that is a very fantasy idea for here however, I think a "gangster" or "mob" type of person would work better.

IDEA:
Mobster: A turned-around criminal who, although similar to the Hunter,  fights his enemies with primarily with pistols and their bare fists. Has high health but average damage in combat.  :)

I'll amend my statement of before:

There's nothing worse than an obsessed very very stupid laywer.  ;)

It just goes to show how young you are when you hear 50 or so show's you've never heard of... :P

As I have an interest in DnD (sort of "cool!" with added geekism and lack of any books) I would *love* to see the DnD show. Anyone know if they had beholders on it? Cartoon beholders... cooooool.... *drools* Anyway, the ironic thing is that the series never finished. It got cut before the final episode. I'd pay good money to buy the entire series.

Hehehe... nothing worse than a lawyer I say...  :=

Ek, I'll modify it tonight.  ;) Also, I beleve that Blender supports Yafray (Yet Another Free RAYtracer). Tutorial -> http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro/Yafray

Sometimes, reading Tom Clancy's Net Force Explorer books get's you really interested in VR.

This Physics card, if it lives up to expectations, seems like, to me, it would break free from the standard linear scripted events of today. It would make adventure games so much more interesting... I mean, should I use this crowbar to jimmy open the door, or to smash right through it?

Though using VR gloves would be the next step up. This would give us the technology to create an actual VR game that didn't require a couple of million pounds and a horde of script... COOL!  ;D

Actually, I like Blender.

One: No cost to use
Two: V. Small Download (I'm Mr. Dial-Up, remember?)
Three: It's a good starting point. I was thinking of making a couple of animations with Blender to see how good it'd look, but I lack the willpower for most things.

Except debating in this insane place o'cource.  ;)

Actually, I feel that the useless items in the MI series were for comic relief. The whole prosphetic parts bit in MI 4 was pointless, yes, but hearing Guybrush scream

"IT'S ALIIIIIIIIIVE!!!"

at the top of his squeaky voice still cracks me up six months on :D

PS: Someone should do a topic on the best monkey island quotes. I have a top two already :)

Wierd.  :P

It's suprising how many forums are being hacked these days... Both my old haunts have been had in the last two months.  ::) Let's not argue.

If the SQ community finds him... well, I'll get the bucket and you lot get the extra-strength bodily fluids remover.  ;D

Hehehehe... I'm one of the youngest now :D

That's probably something to do with the lack of games I've produced... ah well.  8)

At the moment, same here... noooooo.  ;D

I have a simple view on this.

History repeats itself. This is because even though Technology marches on, human attitudes remain the same. You have problems when a country gets a leader. Seeing as attitudes remain the same, humans can convince others to do something by a motivation of a kind. Seeing as everyone has got similar hopes and fears (Safety, Food...) influencing people can be easy. Did anyone notice how many adverts you get about expensive stuff Ã, at christmas? People are trying to influence you then. In fact, the entire world's situation today is based upon influence. If in an election campain season, you didn't get contant TV adverts saying "Vote X as the other person has coodies!" (As this is basically what their saying!), in fact, *no* form of advert or scanilisation of either side, you'd actually vote for the one that you personally like the policies of more. Influencing the majority (and money) control the world.

Simple as pie.

And the world wasn't ever thought to be flat, that was a Victorian invention to make the Brits seem better (Making historiacal people look dumb so that the Victorians can say "Look how far we've come! - Again, influence and money)
