QuotePlus, I think you'll find that John Lennon thought the same way.

If you mean he thought the same way as jesus, that's impossible to know for sure.  It depends on translation differences and interpretation.  If not, then sorry, that was entirely useless...

...

I think what he meant to show you was the room would have alot more effect with some exxaguration, like instead of having a 3- pixel hook have a huge one.  Have 5 or so scattered boxes, a lower hanging painting and a bigger mousehole.

And i think the light should be flickering as to add the effect you want, but bright enough as you can see what's going on in the room.  Right now it looks like the room has a thick fog inside, or is covered in smoke.

...any reason for this hatred towards all of christianity?

QuoteAnd think of all those christian paintings made through the years that has nudity in them
That was precisely the point most of the people were saying...

QuoteI hate everything that can be associated with the bible, christianty makes me fucking sick.
Any particular reason you hate a large portion of the world's people?

Quotegodforsaken church
Now, that one's just plain funny.

That's the problem, I don't know.  But they bother me, and to me don't look good in the image.

It's common knowledge that DG can chew through rubber rooms and strait jackets without trying... you're going to need more than an asylum.

...I find it amazing how this picture progressed from an empty, mint-green box to something with some meaning.

I think this picture is about done.  The window's good, the wallpaper works, the only things that bother me is the soda and the cracks by the light plug.  But that's only the smallest of nitpicks...

I just want to assure you that this is total bull-honkey.  If it's some kind of encrypted messege that means "pumpernickel" or "42" or whatever, what the hell does that mean anyway?  It's not worth it.  Chances are it's just some meaningless crap.  And if it's not, there's nothing really you can do about it.

I'm scared... after reading this dg quote
QuoteHA HA CALL ME SIR SPANK-A-LOT
and seeing this picture, it's a bit creepy...

That's great!  I'll have to be wrong about things like this more often...  Good luck on the project!

I'm going to say the same thing here as I said to my friends when Reagan died:
He died.  It's sad.  Many people liked him, and weather or not you agreed with his messages, he was a well loved man who died tragically.

I should have known better 5 years ago when
...you were 8?
You ought to be able to split the cables and at least connect up the power switch.
Yea, I didn't do it alone though...

We might be able to.  We already had to grind down the metal plate in the back so that it would be able to accept the mouse, keyboard, moniter and usb ports.
QuoteI may sound extreme and highly illiterate in this post :P
That makes two of us...

But in this thread, I actually need help...

nope im sure... the microATX fits fine.... 20 pin power, everything is right except for a strange looking cable to connect the case leds and buttons to the mobo.
#155
The case power button and LEDs were not industry standard, so it couldn't accept other motherboards.

General Discussion / Sony Gets on my Nerves!
Wed 07/12/2005 23:02:41
We went to upgrade a sony computer today.  I purchased a new motherboard, and a new processor, along with new ram.  After installing and plugging in everything, i found that the cables that connect the switch and the case leds were all connected, so that i could plug the case into the motherboard, but the pins were plugged into the wrong cables! Now i have to go buy a new case, and pray that sony didnt do anything else like that.  I should have known better 5 years ago when the side of the computer had a big sticker that said "DO NOT OPEN or the warenty is void"
Anyway, i just wanted to say i think its very scummy of them to do stuff like this, although not out of character.  Sony reccently was discovered with Malware on all of their music CD's.  When will they learn to be as friendly as the name Sony suggests

Myst was not just "gloss and no gameplay", dg.  In fact, it was a very open world--You could go to any age at any given time (assuming you knew how) and find bits of information about all of the characters, not needed to win but still quite interesting.  The interface wasn't too open, but you could explore and interact with the enviorment.  It only went into movie sequences when you figured out puzzles, which there were quite a few.  The ending stunk like dead plague rats, but I liked that game.

Two more things.

1.  I dislike the whole "all modern, non-adventure games suck" point of view.  I enjoyed adventure games, but was eased into it when I was younger and liked different types.  It went like: QFG5 (very rpg like, but was still kind of an adventure game) ---.QFG4(a very good game, not rpg like but still similar to 5) ---> QFG2(old style adventure game, very good game and barely similar to 5) --->5 Day A Stranger(a full fledged adventure game).  This was over a few years.  But I still enjoy the modern ones.  There are modern games which deserved to be burned for various reasons, such as Dead or Alive XBV (my friend just bought that game.  I tried to supress the want to kick his ass) or King's Quest 8 (kind of old, I know, but the ending sucked, the gameplay sucked, the puzzles were nonexistand and it took 3 hours to load).

2.  "adventure games are not dead, they're just (insert random verb)"  In the commercial world, they ARE.  I'm sorry to tell you, but game companies aren't making them anymore.  When was the last time you heard a mainstream gamer of today talking about the new adventure game coming out?  If they're not dead yet, they're dying.  Not here, of course.  But in the commercial world?  I would go out on a limb and say yes.

General Discussion / Re: Good morning
Wed 07/12/2005 01:15:59
The past four days I was in california (it sends a chill right to my new yorker's soul) in my uncle's trailer so my mornings were messed up.  Went something like this:

8:00 : My mother wakes up, waking me & my brother up as well.  We both pretend to be asleep for another while, simply to not get up.
8:30 : My mother wakes me and my brother up.
8:35-9:30 : We sit in a chair doing absolutely nothing until breakfast is cooked.
10:00 : We go to my grandmother's house.  Where we sit in a chair doing absolutely nothing until lunch is ready.

But there were a few benefits from going:
-Seeing my grandmother drunk "I had alot of white wine" and lifting a $70 clay pot in the air by one hand, while her entire family yells at her to stop.
-Getting to tease my cousin for getting kissed on the lips by the insane owner of a greek restaraunt
-Watching my older brother attempt to spike my grandmother's dog's water with rum
-Same crazy greek restaraunt owner sticking a dollar bill all the way down my aunt julie's shirt.
-Every member of the family save for my mother, my aunt kathy, my uncle and all the minors plastered.

I used to play football with my friends... but I stopped because my tackles hurt them.  Wusses.

IMO all televised sports suck.  I would never watch sports on tv, there are so many better things to do...
