The thing about consoles is that they're entirely game machines.  Computers can have games on them, but it's not specifically what they are made for.  It's pretty obvious that computers run much better if they don't have any huge ass game in it.  A computer can do everything a game console can but more, whereas a console can do one specific thing better.

mozza, is you're avatar an entry?

Like I said before, though, the companies add stuff like that so that it sells a bit more and so that some horny kid ignores the plotholes and lack of fun gameplay.  The only problem is when they put it into a good game, that horny kid ignores the good plot and fun gameplay  :P

1) minimal requirements - in modern games, they're insulting! But only if the game isn't worth it. Problem is, IMO, it happens 95% of the time!!! Anyone heard about Doom3 for example? Boiling Point (OMFG, worst of them all!)? Far Cry? This isn't even funny  >:(

I don't even understand what you're saying here--games that need your computer to be remotely up to date?  I don't understand what the problem is here, unless your computer is a 10 year old windows 95 with 64 mb of ram and a 3-gig hard drive, most of those games work fine.  And even so, I'm not sure if it's insulting at all.  It's not like windows and ID software had a meeting "So i'll make the minimum requirements windows xp with 512 ram and a new graphics card, all microsoft products!" *snicker snicker*

It looks too much like his mouth is on that side of his face.  Plus it looks like he's very tense--despite the calm look in his face.

Well, to some companies, all they need to do is add a little "jiggle animation" to a few 3d models and they have to do alot less work in fixing bugs  ;)

What annoys me is when the game is made so i think i'm better than the main character.  Whenever I'm forced to think "Get out of the way you pixelated moron, let me do it!  Just let me jump over the damn hole in the floor and tackle that guy tossing books and toy meeps at you!"  And dammit I'm talking about you you sissy ass mage jester!  You wanna save elsa then let me by, or at least kill yourself!  >:(

Sorry.  QFG1 remake really pissed me off at that point...

Or we could just leave it here and let it die.  Someone should get a "Don't feed the thread!" sign.

The problem about some people is that they get a bit too paranoid on occasions.  I live in the US too, on long island, but every weekend I work with my parents going to parts of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.  We sell handmade jewlery at craft shows, and alot of the time people charge us with credit cards.  Now, they purchase a two-stone earing in Montauk.  My family lives in New Hyde Park, so the money goes to us in NHP.  However, the person sees they're charge for a pair of earings in NHP, thinks "Oh no, bad stuff!" and reports it.  Most of the time we have to call them up and tell them we live in New Hyde Park, and that's why the charge goes there (not because of credit card theft or anything) so they cancel their report.  It doesn't happen too much anymore, since now we make it a point to tell them we live on long island in NHP, not wherever we are at the craft show.
Now, of course, this would all be avoided if they just read the business card, "We work out of our home in New Hyde Park, New York", but there are so many commercials on TV about credit card theft that when they see something like this the first thing that comes to their mind is that.

I'm not sure how relevant that is, but it seemed like it at the moment.

It's a "file traffic over" image for image hosting U.S., clearly not what needs critiqing.  Could you re-upload the image, or is that the problem, that you have no place to upload it to?

Hello,

Yea, you should probably tell us a little bit about Scheme before someone else says something like the last 3 posts.

Common now... nothing to be afraid of when you're new... except for the hazings... they go on something like this:

But the good part is, after a few hours you get to be the green one!

That one's awesome...  although the little flap of cloth on his hood doesn't look right.  However that looks like exactly what it should be.

Game looks and sounds good, can't wait.  But I have to go through internet explorer to see the images  :'(

Could you put up how far along you've gotten in programming, or are you not up to that yet?

What the hell are you talking about?  This is an open discussion, and plenty of people's ideas have been argued over before.  And i didn't "diss" you at all in my last post.  Nor did i before that.  I told you to stop being so negative and try to make you look on the bright side.  So don't judge me so quickly and please read my posts more clearly.
