This is truly a waste of a post, but that smiley you used is creepy as hell.  It's like a copy of our smileys we use here, a custom smiley, and a smiley from mmorpgmaker forums...

General Discussion / Realm Crafter released!
Fri 07/10/2005 17:27:14
"After Months of waiting... Solstar finaly release Realm Crafter (a 3d MMORPG engine)
Unfortunately on the October 2nd Launch, Errors with the Online Store, caused them to close the shopping cart down, making new purchases impossible..
Last night again, they reinstitutued a PayPal Online Store, and I downloaded the Tool.  It seems pretty nice for anyone who wants to make a Game...
Check it out at
www.RealmCrafter.com
www.mmorpgmaker.com
Note: They do have some issues still being revised... but it's pretty much done."

My older brother on Realm Crafter (moderator of MMORPGMAKER.com).  Anyway, it's a very good game making tool, for a WoW/EQ kind of game.

As long as you go about on the forums and not act like a moron, basically ;)

I'm not sure if I can help you, since I suck at computer artwork, and my brother does all presentable things for me, since he's board waiting for Realm Crafter to finish downloading...
Its 99% done, so you probably won't see any more art from me.  Ever.  :P

If there's anything else you need help with, and if it's in my power, give me a PM  :).

Greatest 3 pixels in the history of the world.

How the hell do you lose something in the internet without trying?  It's not like the ocean, where you can drop a pair of goggles and not find them ever.  It's just... not possible.  Unless its stolen(?)...

Nonetheless.  That's too bad...

It's pretty easy to make a trailer out of nothing.  Right now, I bet I could make you a trailer for a new game using nothing but some concept art, some 3d models, and a basic terrain I have on my computer... doesn't mean it's anything coherent.

I'm not agreeing or anything, just pointing something out...

Ummm... apparantly you, zargist, justas, tiki, and olsen...

EDIT:  I just read some of the pages on that thread.  replace sqn with a german porn site... now that, is true cleverness.  "twinkle toes"... funny.  Sad, but funny.  Mostly just wierd.

A while ago I read a study which claimed that all this hate and self-flagellation among Sierra gamers are the consequences of a childhood trauma caused by frustrating dead-end situations, bad puzzle design and an extensive use of savegames!!  :o
Blame error 52...

Although that's not exactly hacked, from what I understand of the situation (I don't understand much).  It's more about misused trust... but meh, I never played space quest, so I cant really understand everyone's loss.

I don't know why, but for some reason the stove looks a bit off.  May just be me...  Also, the pattern on the floor in the alley looks off.  Like it's just a regular picture of the floor...

But what are those things on the wall by the door(in the kitchen)?  I can't tell...

By the way, Myst and Riven kicked total ass.  Although for some reason the beautiful scenic land of Myst was a lot less creepy than falling into a star fissure in the broken land of Riven...  :-\

His hair looks very odd... and his head looks a little girly.  You should give a chin with a darker/broader outline.  Other than that it looks good.

It looks good... but once again, perspective.  Mostly the pictures in the jewlery store.  I like the colors in both of the pictures... The prison has a "mundane craphole" look to it... and the doormat adds a comedic touch  :D.  And the colors in the jewlery store... great.

I think he meant that it isn't a corner... just a street.  Although there's a little bit of a turn you can see at the edge, it's more like this: _.  And should probably be more like this:  _|

One of the first things I noticed is the clashing of colors.  I like the way you drew it, but red, purple, olive green, and brown don't go together good.  The textures, I agree, you might've gone overboard... everything else is flat, so it doesn't go well with the rest of the image.  But that's only for the walls, I think the carpet looks good.  I think it might be a good idea if you had a warmer color for the walls, but I'm not sure what color that would be  :-\

It looks good for a first backround... but try not to use bmps.  I think it gives you an "I'm With Stupid" sign pointing at yourself... but i'm not sure  ;)

That looks like a very stylized type of room... something you wouldn't be able to pull off unless you made an entire game like that.  It's very interesting...

Indeed, meatloaf kicks ass.  My parents had a whole collection of meatloaf records in the basement of my house, but stopped listening to him for some reason or another.  Also there's Jethero Tull, who wrote Thick as a Brick... so much rock flute... so many hours wasted.  And lastly Billy Joel, who my brother listens to alot and has brainwashed me into liking.  And I would be embarrassed to tell this to my friends--as well as the fact that I think that their rap/hiphop bullcrap sounds like a donkey being slapped in the ass with a snow shovel.

Honestly... is the crit's lounge so empty that people are still posting here?

Happy birthday, but what draft are you talking about?

Oh... I knew I forgot something...

The plot of the game so far is that you are a superhero goose.  You have very little superpowers, however you do have certain helpful items that increace your power.  There's a castle to the west of his house that has turned evil for some reason.  Because of this bad things start happening, and creatures the goose defeated earlier (named Otis) come back again.  The only villan so far you meet is the Evil Steak, remanents of the Mad Cows of Doom.  The beginning of the game is you helping out some random characters, a little kid and a duck.  The little kid tells you about how the castle to the west doesn't seem right anymore, so you next need to find a way to get in.

Goose Quest 1 demo is ready for download!  I'm about 40% done with the game.  This isn't going to be great, if you can't tell by the title and my attitude.  But it is going to be something to teach me to use AGS.  Plus it might shape up to become a great one, you never know...  I didn't animate the goose yet, but that will be done in the full game.  As of now I'm just too lazy  :)

Anyway, here's my screenshots.

Here's the demo.  Don't expect much of anything.

The key to grass patterns is... a grass pattern!  Really... not that hard.

Here's a crappy grass pattern example I made a while back.  Pattern made with "Animated Confetti" in The Gimp.
