I will definitely play the demo of the unprintable M. after I get finished with my exam tomorrow that is. Stupid life, both stopping developers from working on their games and stopping players from playing games. Why does everything have to be so cruel?

For your consideration:

Sisyphus Reborn by Emont; for Best Short game, and Best Music and Sound award; Download from here!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tomes: Layne's Discovery by Domithan; for best Gameplay or best Puzzles award; AGS database page

The last door is a phenomenal adventure game.
I agree with you on the puzzles. I found them often illogical.
In my opinion, the strongest part is the sound: the music in particular, it's very immersive. In fact, I didn't even play all of the available episodes, since I am too busy listening to the music I copied to my computer. :=

Hi adventuress.
That first background of yours (Marka) is good perspective, if you are planning to make adventure games.
The last unfinished background perspective might seem great at first glance, but I doubt it would be practical to draw like when developing a game. Well it could work but still... Those traditional ways are like that for a reason, I think.
For example, a lot of 2d games have tiles for graphics, because those can be a great tool while designing game rooms, environment.
It's just my opinion though, I might be wrong. It's always good to try out new things. Keep practicing! :-)

My condolences, Queen Kara. It must be a horrible thing to lose a person who you were bonded to. My grandpa died not long ago, and he was to me favorite person from my family. Yet he died first. I was quite sad. But, you get over these things, everything dies in the end, one way or the other. :(

PANHELLENIC, err something to do with greek letter GAMMA?

the riddle-game was sacred and of immenseantiquity

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panhellenic_Games Olympic games were called Panhellenic, because PAN-all + Hellenic-Greek = were events which united all Greek Polises. Ancient Greece was never one country, like other states which existed in that time period, the only thing that unified them was their language, religion and Olympic games, which happened every 4 years from year 776. BCE.
Appearently, there were other games than Olympic which also belonged to Panhellenic games. I didn't know that. :P

Yes, janhelt. :P
It's a game by King_wiking, and it's called I'm not crazy, right? - The Well.
The protagonist is a crazy (socipathic) farmer who wants to became a theater actor. He gets visited by aliens, upon his request. Great AGS game. :=

Also you might want to put the name of the game in your post, otherwise you still haven't guessed what game it is. (laugh)

As I said, I cheated, I didn't guess! :P  Which is why I didn't include the name.

Come on, post the name of the game, so this thread can move on!  :-D

I'm starting to get the impression that none of us have played this game?1?!? :-\
That's not my problem.
This thread is about naming a GAME, and that's a GAME. :=
And it was downloaded 3,108 times.
Also you might want to put the name of the game in your post, otherwise you still haven't guessed what game it is. (laugh)

HINT 2: the main character is crazy, maybe.
#232
Captain Disaster in: Death Has A Million Stomping Boots and Troll Song, obviously. :=
Then there's the Unprintable Magenta and the Visitor 3. And there's Kate and Shelly game by Gurok, if he even finishes it.
And then there's a secret project by someone, which I would really like to play when it gets finished. (roll)

EDIT: and cat's game about learning Kanji too. :P

Nope, it's not a RON game...
This is the last screenshot I can give, and now it should be rather easy to guess what game it is.

Completed Game Announcements / Re: Providence

I'm so sad you guys finished this when I am so busy reading books for university, I can barely spare some time for anything else.
I've downloaded it, and when I play through it, I'll share with you my feedback of Providence (some time in the future).

I've played it, and I really like the story. The graphics are wonderful, but for some reason, the game stuttered for me most of the time (on some backgrounds more on some less), and this really ruined my immersion, especially because the stutter affected sublime compositions of Chopin. It is probably just my computer, since it is rather old. Great game anyways, short, but great.

This is pretty cool! So, by playing the game we get to learn to write Kanji?
I would gladly test it if I had time, but now I'm all busy studying.

Great drawings Aprilskies!
I still haven't finished the game, I find it very difficult... but it is reminiscent of older games which were challenging and unforgiving, unlike today's games.
At first I was very frustrated at the game for just throwing you into hard levels, but then, Dualnames was right when he said in IRC yesterday how games are getting easier and easier, they are no longer fun. As much as frustrating this game may seem to be, it's actually astonishingly fun. It feels like a game.

Ok, I've got it, it's very simple.

Spoiler
A is an article in English grammar = THE (also article) + Vendetta; V for Vendetta is a movie where some characters wear masks of Guy Fawkes, and Guy Fawkes was probably not fat, since he was a catholic, so FAT + against Superman => there is movie which is supposed to be released in 2016, called Batman vs(against) Superman, so BATMAN + turns promise into destroyers of blades = sounds like some kind of an ADVENTURE.
All summarized it's THE ADVENTURES OF FATMAN. Easy. :=
