I don't recall starting the talk of DLC. But no that's stupid dude, why would say oh you can unlock a mushroom later in the game. But if you want you can download the DLC and get it now. I make it where you get the DLC get the what you get and if you don't get it than that's that. No special stuff for you. If it's possible than it can be done. I can get mad at any company for the DLC that make but do they care and do they listen? Nope, sometimes. But they change cause it's what they want to do. Now I listen and at some points a care. But it's my stuff and if outsiders like my games than they'll give the DLC a shot.

I was thinking of different ways to get DLC to work for me. One way to do it is to have all the stuff in game. I been playing around with it in PMQ Online. All I have to do is have a file that is made to lock the DLC insdie the game. I know how to do it too.

Well I like some DLC. When I beat Final Fantasy.XIII-2 I pissed cause it said "to be continued". Now many people and I though they where making a FF XIII-3. The truth is that your gonna have to download Episode DLCs and one of the theme will be the real ending of the game. I have also found out that Final Fantasy Versus XIII is gonna have 2/3 of it's story as downloadable content.

This is stuff I am pointed out here for trying to do but it's really now what I am trying to do. Quest DLC is just other side stories that I made up of ideas for other games. This stops the whole the overload of games going into production cause I can devote all those thoughts into one game even after I have released it.

It's like an addiction. But I'm smart enough to know it's all a mental process. It's hard to just stop but it's not impossible.

I know, I mind has grown to close to the SE company as a whole. I have this thing where for some reason I think I can do every and anything at the same time but it's not more than an illusion that I fall into. It's an endless cycle but one day I'll break the habit.

Oceanspirit Dennis has become an hero. Of this, there can be no dispute.

But don't forget that Icey has his own Oceanspirit Dennis, who isn't a gay blade, and who bears a closer resemblance to the typical Square Enix hero.

Anyway, what Icey needs isn't more ideas. If anything, he needs less ideas. We've seen how his focus flits from idea to idea like a coked-up bee with ADD. He should take a break from all the back-story and extraneous world-building he devotes so much wasted time too, and limit himself to telling the story he's been trying to tell ever since he started working with AGS.

In one game. That doesn't reference five other games. And without DLC.

PMQ.legends is a series of about 10 games because the comic series has like 10 or more games. I'm not shooting like 20 as I said before. I wanna make a game that won't require any other games to explain the story and one I can just stay put on. If I lose interest for a bit I'll move on to something new for a bit. I wish I could build a team for such a game but every time I do that it fails.

Ok I understand. And I think that's what a lot of people want. I'll start keeping that in mind when I'm working on stuff.

I played that game on my phone. I felt it was fun but I also felt very lost with just about everything. I think I might just go and download the .apk again study the problems the game has again. This way it helps me figure out things I fix in my next game.

The whole game may be brought for trolling reasons but still I like the idea too eric. Maybe just one day I get a big enough push from something I can atleast make a logo.

It would be a sorta game but atleast you get to fight Dave and his team from time to time. And if your strong enough then it should satisfy most people who hates pmq. It'll also have some humor in their so that should +1 from ponch.

Humm well when you put it like that it's not so hard, even though there are games that take place in the world such as OSD,GB. They do not actually follow the whole getting a quest from the pub thing. They're more of a straight forward type games.

Just curious, do you think it's possible to add layers to the rooms? You know, like how PS has layers for a picture document. I had some ideas before of how it would work for a game and I can only get ideas when I come to the point in the room editing when I need the layers.

The only thing I can come up with now is, over lapping walkable areas. The ability to turn them on/off would still work. This is best for birds eye view games such as GTA advance where as when you walk under a bridge. You can make a walkable area that goes straight under the bridge but wheat about when you need to walk on top of it? You can turn off the walkable area on the ground but it will cut off a part of the bridge at the point where it intersects. Thus stopping the player from running all the way across.

I think my problem or maybe not a problem is that I have grown so attached to FF and PMQ that it's hard to leave the Fantasy and move on to something brand new. I can come up with so many awesome ideas but I find them stuck in the same world just at different time periods and stuff. I don't see it as much of a problem though cause I mean it's the story that matters to alot of peoples. But one day I will be able to come up with a new world full of absolutely new things.
#576
I got you, absolutely new stuff.

Well here is the thing. In PMQ there are two worlds. One is the spin-off of the original PMQ series(PMQ1,2 etc) which is filled with a lot of FF stuff such as Gil, chocobos, moogles and stuff. The only 3 games that doesn't have FF refs is Gear Blade,Shard Hunters, and PMQ Colosseum because if I do plan to give it to steam I don't plan on getting sued due to something so small. Now the original series has zero FF refs but share a lot of similarities with the spin-off series.

All games such as tifa's ballad, PMQ.legends, etc fall into the spin-off category. Now the to keep in mind is that even though they fall under the same category it doesn't mean the revolve around each other. They are all in the same giant world and takes place in the different times....I feel like I'm just babbling.

Here it is quick and easy.

Senpah = world for all PMQ games
Senpah(Spin-off) = world for all PMQ Legends games + others(OSD, Gear Blade, Shard Hunters)

Shard Hunters is yes a game in the PMQ spin-off world but is not a PMQ game at all. Trust me on this cause my OSD games take place in the PMQ spin-off world but is also not a PMQ game.

I don't know if this is relevant to what you were saying but I thought it might clear up a lot of how my stuff works.

Oh btw, not only is there no FF refs but there is no PMQ refs either.

Thanks Ghost, I'll check it out.

I should also announce I'm gonna enter the May Mags with a completely new game. It's not a PMQ game either.

@Construed: It's cool, I can man up and say it seem like you have put endless hours of time into the game. And though I'm not a big fan of VGA graphics I can still say by the time your done the game play will be the best thing in the game. Game play is second importance to me followed by art. First though is story, you always need a good story.
