It's not that I'm denying the presence of good quality royalty free music but rather I truly suck I finding said music or even ones that I don't have to pay for. It's hard to find 26 royalty free songs that can replace the songs that I use from Final Fantasy,Kingdom Hearts,etc (for the sake of testing purposes). Not because of the quality or anything but because those songs were picked because it helped bring scenes, battles, adventuring moments to life because it was songs that fit perfectly. Those songs are in the reference list for the games OST that I have handed off to the composers on my team to help them get a sense of the songs that I'm looking for but that's about all they are used for.

But I'll check out the link and see what I can find if I can gather stuff the necessary amount of songs then I'll consider releasing OSD3 on to the forums. ;)

Hopefully when it's finished I can put some of the doubts to rest with what I'm hoping is at the very least a nice experience in a long line of Icey Games, Games that could only dream to offer anything other than failed expectations and incompleteness.

Thanks you guys, the name of the game changed due to me wanting release the game and sale it. But I can't do that with OSD. I actually have a finished version of OSD3 with all the changes but I'll never release it because I can't find good royalty free music, I can't find someone to help with thw music for free, and I don't want to release anymorr games with copyrighted music.

I found someone to help with the games OST but they are charging me so much money that I could never give this game out for free let alone a lesser version. As for the title, I don't want search engines to link back to this thread if I give the full title for legal reasons. So I'm just gonna call it TLW3 for now.

Hey everyone, I have posted here in almost 3 months. If you don't know I had a OSD3 GiP post up but I'm not a big fan of how things work in that section of the forums so I rather return here to continue any announcements I have about that game, oh and the first announcement for that game is that it's Dead. Yep, completely dead  :~(



However, from it's ashes comes Warrior of Light / [T L W 3], which brings a few additions/changes to the games original files. The biggest thing to note is the upgrade count of enemies to appear in the game which jumped from 7 to 31 which includes the addition of 6 new boss battles of the game because after having some people play the game I was told that I should try to adjust or add some things to spice up the games and 2 of the things were Bosses and more enemies.

Albeit it will take me a lengthy bit of time to go back in there and code them and the new VFX(coming soon) into the battle system which thankfully isn't that messy but I'm sure it could be better.

Nonetheless, here's a batch of the new enemies added to the game. Enjoy!  ;)

Finished all the main frames details. Now just to add the swords and put it all into the game.

Spending the day finishing the last animations for Oceanspirit Dennis. I'm pushing to get these done because School is about to get crazy and I want as little work to do one the game as possible on my end. The last thing is just final public testing run that will come later, and the incorporation of sound effects and music.

...OH, and a proof read because I know the game needs but if push comes to shove I'll just do it by myself if I can't find someone to lend me a hand there.

As for recent progress, I've finally finished fixing up the final boss battle in the game, it features a nice mechanic that makes the battle switch back in forth between normal, hard , lethal after every couple of turns. That and the documents are finally finished and all 18 have been added to the game. Hopefully they will shine some light on how the story works.

The one thing I can say about this game so far is it is hard and the further you go through the game the harder it gets. I spent a good chunk of time to day after making a big amount of progress such as finishing the replacement of the new speaking portraits, fixing a few old bugs yada yada.
I took time away from that to give the game a full run through with ATK testing mod that makes the player ATK 2000. This help me 1 shot enemies if the attack landed, thus clearing battles really fast but not boosting the player HP meant that the enemies at some point could destroy me as well with 2 hits if not one.
All in all, trying to farm the proper materials I can tell is what the player will spend most of their time trying to do if they want to strengthen up before hitting a road block later on. It took me 150 battles to have a decent amount of HP(390) to survive a few hits if my 1 shot failed.
All in all, just keep in mind for anyone following this game. Just make sure to grind grind as you play.
Beta 1C is currently out and 1D will be on it's way this weekend.

Something else to note is the game currently has a bug where if you leave it running during a battle or I guess just spend too much time in a battle it will crash. Something new that happened to me today was the audio got all funky and then started making this blow horn sound. Really odd stuff that has never happened to me when working in AGS. I'm looking hard into how to fix the bug but if anyone does download the latest build I just want to point out that that is a thing that I'm aware of.

UPDATE: It seems after some more testing the crashing has appeared to stop. I let the game run for almost in hour while in battle mode. But I had two versions of the game running simultaneously to see if the repeatably execute calls was the issue. The only problem now however is the the sound still stops, even with a different audio file...

This is coming along very well but the next thing that needs to be added is definitely a new indicator for who is talking, grammar checking, and lastly of course the other scenes all need the same. But hey, this is great progress to know it works. Speaking of work, let me return to that.

Finally finished all the portraits. Now I just gotta implement them into the game alongside the stat boosters to enemies because right now they're too easy to beat.
Pushing to get the update beta out by next Sunday if I have the time.

I was supposed to release a build Thursday but I got really preoccupied with school. If the next build can't have all the new portraits in then hopefully I can get as much in as possible.

UPDATE!

Beta 1B is out, adding battle tweaks and menu tweaks, fixing a bug in the Command menu that would otherwise stop the player from checking card and weapon info. I have also add (i) information icons to each menu, click these to find out more about what you can do in said menu.

Beta 1C will roll out next Thursday with what ever other fixes that are needed. Beta 2B should bring about changes to the character speech portraits. Changing them from the static water painting look to the new more detailed ones that better match the cutscenes and promo art. These new portraits will also have different expressions to bring out the scenes more.
