@eric: That was another good part. But the part were he asked if he had believed in ghost is the part I was supposed ti be using.


@Ghost: Well put, I guess I'm just a bit in over my head as I don't really know how to keep control over the money thing I guess I was hopping it all works out and steam kept control over the stuff. Also thanks for still helping me with sound effects side.

@LFish: Ok, I will remove every bit of AGS references. I'm probably gonna need a test for that part but we will see.

@Victor6: I don't really release sources not only cause I put the effort into my designs plus my code can be really messy and only I end up being the one who understands it unless I ask for help with "broken code".

But I think I will make a simple open source game that will show how to make a "Icey styled" RPG. I will also record as I go so I can post a step by step on Youtube.

Maybe I will start a swarm thing up with OSD later, It's easier but it might be rather pointless.

I was going to use theme in a great way. especially Fio, she was supposed to help guide Dave to the next world. As he was about to die from a fierce snow storm. Part of the idea came from Polar express with the ghost dude. But I think may just go with that cause and I'm sorry Ponch but just Prick won't work at. Sure there have been a few drop outs but most of the contributors has made no effort to PM/replying about the situation. Maybe if you'd still let me I can use him as free DLC.

At Radiant, Oh why didn't say you were looking at that. Look if it makes you feel any better than I will take it off. Just keep in mid that the list of people are old. I got a few newer people helping me. If you look at that main post you'll see that ghost offered to help with the sound effects but he is not in the list for that now is he?

Ok Ponch, I guess I can do. Well'p goodbye extras, Radiant peep the time I sent that to you not the time you checked it. I sen't that before Ponch posted. Also when you put it like that then you make it seem like I'm asking you for Money. I sen't it to every, even Ponch so I hoping that PM was clear. Cause your stuff is not in the game anymore and it has been out since the 4th when you first asked so I hope that was clear to you. The whole topic of commercial obviously wasn't clear to most people so I was hoping this type of thing would help until I seen what Ponch said.

Ponch, I will take tat advise and put AGC Colosseum on hold to go work on something similar to what you said before.

Yeah anyone who doesn't agree with you is obviously doomed to fail, right? Like hell I'm. I not going sit back and let you treat me a type way if I don't think it's right. Also I been said we were supposed to talk about whether it should or not but it seems you and a few others bring up the fact about it going commercial and it makes it seem like I only planed to do that and not discuss it with everyone. It's like highlighting a word you didn't need to highlight.

I was thinking of other ways to pay for the game myself but I didn't know how that was gonna work. But I finally came to a decisions that if the game get's a lot of downloads/likes/cups and stuff then I would create my own non AGS character type DLC. This way I could sell that and it won't be apart of the game.

This is what most if not all MMO's do. The game is free but their are extras you can purchase if you like the game a lot. And this is the same thing I will do.

Also my plans wasn't change today. I had chose to come to a debate about the matter on the 4th. And in the end it seems like it's not what people wanted. I'm not saying I want lose people or 2 loses are better than them all. I rather keep s much as I can so I don't have to change up the game anymore.

Shut up Khris and WHAM. I am not lying, your just trolling me again. Leave me alone. Any how now that I have a connection again. GHOST and everyone. Im not going COMMERCIAL WITH THE GAME ANYMORE. I'm going to make my own DLC for the game and sell that a help with the future production of the game. I can't lose people like this as I'm putting way to much work in this game and especially you GHOST as I have done so much for your character as it is now.

GAME is FREE and DLC is not. The game is not commercial but the DLC is. GAME and DLC are separate from each other. No one is involved beside sides me. Now do you understand WHAM and Khris!?!

Also what I men't was I never said I was gonna straight to commercial.

Everyone I never said I was gonna have the game go commercial. We were supposed to talk about whether it can or not. Oh I got it! Instead of making AGS Colosseum Commercial I will charge for DLC that I created(Not the ones by other AGS members). If the game turns out as good as I'm hoping it will then this will show me just is it worth to keep developing for it.

So hows about the? If I keep the game freeware can I still keep everyone in?

Look Khris I had already stated I didn't know if 1 of his questions had been answered so I took a shot at it. This is also another reason why I didn't post what's inside the brackets because I didn't want someone to comment on my stuff in that type of manner. Sure I took a shot at helping Grim with something I think works for me. And even if Hernald came and cleaned it up a bit that shouldn't be a problem.

What I men't was <= and >=, and I didn't know I could use < and > alone.

Also who the hell do you think you are coming in here yelling at me like that, are you freaking crazy!! I don't appreciate that. I have been successful at helping people in the past and then there were times were I was wrong. I'm human just like you(I hope). I'm some super genius when it comes to AGS but I try to find ways to get it to work for me because if I don't I either won't get the right help or just non at all.

ahh I see, thanks for clearing that up. I was at first think I could use the < sign alone but what happens is <= 10 ends up being the only thing read by the game. Same would happen in opposite effect if I used >.

I think you may be pulling my leg but let's say I did use that. What would happen is ist would do some checks between the current level and the End Level. I checking for equals to or in between not player level...something I don't it's to late for me to try to figure that out even if it is simple. All I know is my set currently works for me so I'm gonna stick with until the end. :D

IDK grim, His could work and maybe better than mine so you can try ether one.  ;)

I don't know if it's been answered yet but I'm gonna take a shot at it. I gonna start by saying that since my RPG's code is different from most people who try to make one in AGS it may be just a tad bit confusing but I will explain to you.

I have the game check if the play is Lv.99 first. If he is not then move on to the leveling. Now what I have it does it have it check for whether the player is between Lv.1-10 and if they are then give then just a bit of HP/MP+ and increase their base EXP. Now you can put what ever you would like to in there cause I don't include all the stamina stuff as my games goes by a different stat system. I have a few other variable that sting together the stat net. But I don't think I need to show all of those if I'm trying to explain this little chunk.

I didn't bust a full in direct response like I had to do with another contribute cause instead I made this topic. I wasn't gonna reply to everyone who has a question about the game or wanted to take the char out in different places so I rather I did it here. Also another reason I made this is cause I hoped it would clear up the confusion with the whole steam thing that keeps bugging people. Because it seems like everyone thinks as soon as it's done it's going straight to steam, F everyone, I'm taking all the money for me, oh and F the game.

I never said and if people think then that's perfectly fine. I will take out all ATOTK stuff. I really wanna make some type of contract thing were it says after 10 days you can't withdraw char cause I'm not gonna be making something with other people stuff if their gonna take it out not even in the last minute but just at all. Now, I'm not gonna do that cause that's a force but I'm pretty sure the lot of you get my point.

Also there you have it. 2 slots are officially open so I think I might ask the makers of Red Volition if I could use their character.

Oh I see, What I men't in #2 is that small games won't take that long to make and they will help me find not new ideas but new ways to improve this game. OSD 1-2 helped with development of PUMQ legends cause it taught me how to make a broken but workable RPG. OSD:ROTS - Last Boss helped start up this game.

I still don't think that answers your question but what I trying to point out is that I won't fail in the end if I can work out all the kinks in the beginning.

As for the characters, I have discussed this Commercial things in 3 threads(maybe 4). I'm not saying oh well if you didn't hear or see it too bad. But if anyone who allowed me to use their character doesn't take interest in the production then I mean I don't know cause I can't gather everyone. My life get's in the way of things as it is now that's why I have I made this topic so we can talk about now and later.

I hope that would clear things up but if not maybe khris could help clean it up a bit.

Trust me I have that well thought out. So that is why I

1) Need to find a animator. Maybe I will ask BigGC, hes great with animations.

2) Need to finish making a lot of other games before I go all in on AGSC. Because small games such as Treasure finder & Dreams PMQ will help me develop new skills and tactics. Everyone told me to start out with something small, so if I develop off of smaller games I can get new "abilities" when develop with big games.

3) The game will have have private beta versions that will be tested and then open beta versions like the one that the current one at the top.

No no, What I mean is that I am working on the game alone, however their are people here on AGS who are willing to help me with the game. But their are some parts of the game that none of us can contribute to so the thing left to do is to look around to see if I could find a few people to help with these parts. So yeah I won't get the money but it would be going to those people who helped with the extra parts.

Now the thing is, is that they will only get paid one time and it won't be a lot.

AGS Colosseum may have lost 2 AGS characters, well currently 1. Therefore the gap needs to be filled up with a person(s) who can contribute their character to a game that might(And I highly doubt it) go commercial. Just keep in mind that all money goes back into the future growth of the game and I am not intending to keep any money for my self.

Just PM me your character and a link to play their game.
