In my old age (I'm 26), I don't really have the patience for turn-based combat anymore (though FFIV Complete's auto-battle feature has been a godsend in that regard).

That's weird. In my old age (27) I don't have patience for real-time RPG combat anymore.

Actually I rarely did - usually it's such a boring click-fest, slower and messier than a good turn-based system. Combat in RPGs is generally awfully boring anyway.

I've grown VERY sick of youTube lately... you go to their site and there are ads everywhere, then you attempt to start your video and guess what?  Commercials.  

Now all video providers are doing this (following suit).  I just close the browser whenever a commercial starts.  I was able to tolerate it when it was just that little google popup over the bottom of the video that you could easily close but now they force commercials on you that you can't skip.  It's nothing but annoying.

My point?  Their new design doesn't matter to me

Everyone here seems to have sprang into game-making action immediately upon hearing about the existence of AGS.

Fun fact: My newest game (newer than the Disney rides) is being made on Windows XP.

I'm still using XP on the PC.

No monies, time or interest to switch to Win7. Also, besides Just Cause 2 every piece of software I ever wanted supports it.

I think it's safe to assume that 99% of companies won't drop XP support until at least the financial crisis is over.

Congrats also to Lemmy and Binky - who coded the game's engine and probably designed a good chunk of the gameplay too.
