Curse of the Buddha?

I honestly don't have any idea what movie this could be. But Lee sports some really nice shirt in this shot.

I don't regret the 10 minutes I spent on it, cause I had fun, but I don't know if I would have spent time to do such a game if I were you, unless this was some kind of preview of a future game or scripting exercise.

In conclusion: thank you for making this game, but I suggest you focus your energy and skill into something longer and more refined next time.

Considering this was Darius' first AGS game (as far as i'm aware) and it was made in just two weeks, I think it's a lot better than you give him credit for. As a learning process, as the telling of a story (however brief), as the attempt to just get an idea out of his head and onto the screen, I definitely think it was worthwhile creating.

I'm sure you two had the best intentions, but I find that it reflects very badly on a game when one says something like: "It's not very enjoyable, but... if you take in consideration it was made in a limited time, it's not terribly awful, it's the authors first game etc. then it's actually an impressive effort. So don't worry, *game author's name here*, just make at least 10 times as big and complex and interesting game the next time."

Especially when you're talking about a small, but considerably polished game like rein. It's not something whipped out in a few hours while the author was playing around with the AGS Editor.

For example if you're trying different item combinations, you usually have to do two or three point-click interactions for each combination instead of just one.

I say that's a deserved punishment for trying everything on everything strategy. ;)

Looks very good and unique and I'm happy to hear you're going forward with it!

Ascovel is a permutation of Velasco, as well as Coseval. Cool, huh?

Also, it's specifically designed to have no connection with my real name whatsoever.

I'd love to come somehow - unfortunately it's much more than 2-4 hours away from where I live. Maybe another time.

Green Snake?

More likely recognizing which finger you are tapping with. :)

Maybe that's even already out there - I haven't been following the newest releases in this kind of tech.

As AGS now runs on other platforms without mouse, it might be a necessary not to depend on the existance of a right mouse button (just think tablets, smart phones,...)

I think tablets and smart phones will adapt to the two button scheme after a while. Even Mac computers did - it's just a much more flexible control scheme.

If it has Sindbad fighting living skeletons, then I'm sold!

Congrats on the release, Dave, Ben, Thomas and InCreator!

I'm very happy this series keeps growing. It's probably the hottest original adventure game series of the millennium so far.

On a similar note, how long would a game have to be for you to pay £2 for it?

Personally if I got a good hour or two out of it, I'd probably think a game was worth a couple of quid.

What Captain said.

Do you guys really prefer your Larry games all non-cartoony? Using photo-realistic girls and such always seemed kind of in conflict with the games carefree, non-porny agenda to me... as well as being jarring next to the hyper-absurd puzzles.

Actually the girls' close-ups were usually the least cartoony bits in the games:

It's Larry who in the later adventures suddenly became this deformed cartoony midget.
