Nooo, the nose is great! Just think how it will flap around when he will walk  :) Different is good.

The most obvious problem i see with this character is, that it's too complicated. Lots of little unnecessary details (hair, shirt...), that does nothing, but make character less interesting as he could have been (when it comes to animation, it's very important to keep only the most essential details or the ones that make character more interesting).

As for character himself- looking good. I like it :) He holds some of the "old school" feel to it. Except you could change his pose and anatomy a bit: right now he has too short arms.. also, legs are in a strange position. Make him more relaxed and it will look even better.

This is really interesting! Absolutely love the unique square style and those little flowers and clouds are as adorable as they can get.
Agree that it doesn't need any colors... they would only ruin this subtle atmosphere you managed to build with black and grey. Two thumbs up :)

First- great textures! Love them.

The problem i see here is, that you are using too strong perspective for such an angle and relatively small room (as bar desk suggests). Also, in this case, you should be using 2 point perspective.

Here's a really quick "edit" how you could fix it up a bit, it's not perfect yet by any means, but it's could serve you as a start to tweak it up. The second pic, is there just to make a bit less confusing what is what.

It doesn't matter how unpopular president you are, you'll still grab headlines with your death.
And just how ironic this is :)
To be fair, i don't mind media covering (he's a former president after all), what i find funny are people reactions. Everyone goes: "I'm really sad, my condolence to his family", even though half of them were making fun of him before or didn't like him at all. Media freaks ;)

With every new screenshot you publish here, i get more hyped up about this game. Beautiful screens... the mood they portrait is perfect!
Any demo we can look forward to?

First, this is bloody gorgeous!
It's so good that i honestly don't think there's a need to change anything.

About legs- animation is perfect as it is, but if you really want to bother, you could just add a bit of back or down movement to legs (while the feet should stay in the same spot)... this, and you could add some folow-through motion to hair- right now they just stop moving when the head comes back to original position (longer hair are such a gratifying thing to animate, that it's a shame not to take advantage offÃ,  ;)).

Nah, don't mind me, i'm seriously nitpicking here.

Did i mention it's gorgeous?... Bloody!

Animation looks cool.
The problem is, on some frames it looks like non of the legs are touching the ground.

Here's how you could fix it:

Agree with those who say that the more appropritae title for Moore's movies would be "mockumentaries" or even "propaganda" movies. Not that this is a bad thing... they make people think (in similar way as political caricatures does) and their impact is much stronger.

what the heck? Drawing straight on the screen? I think that would suck hard.
Why? The thing is, LCD screen is actually a tablet- you place it horzontaly on worktable and draw on it in the same way as you would on paper. It can't get any better :)
The only problem is, it's still expensive as hell...

Andail, agree with you here. Still, it depends on your style. There are drawing/painting styles, that are perfect for tablets, while there are some, that do not translate that well. Not that it's not possible to achive almost the same results as on paper... but when you need 10 minutes with Wacom to draw all lines just as they are supposed to be (now multiply that with the number of illos, or frames if it's animation), when you can do the same in a minute or less on paper, you soon realise it's still more economic to do that in the old fashion way.
But as said before, it depends on style.

I would definitely do my sketch on paper, scan it in, and then color over that with the tablet, because I find coloring is easier to do than with the mouse.
Yes, completely agree here. That's the way i'm doing it also. Graphic tablets are great and all, but they don't give you the same accurate results you can get on paper and that bothers me. Also the feeling of drawing on paper is much better (scanning is a pain in the butt tho).

Btw, someday i'd like to try those new graphic tablets that let you draw directly on LCD monitor... now, those could be really useful even for more accurate work.

The main problem i see with this pic is its composition... The way it is now, it's practicaly divided on 2 parts (as shown on pic) that equaly draw viewers attention and so make pic more confussing and less pleasant for the eyes as it could have been.
I'd suggest to make the road's course from bottom right corner to the same upper point it is now. This will make pic much clearer and more dynamic.

Btw, great backgrounds otherwise.

That creepy bleeding girl is great.

Btw, i'm right handed. Never really attempted to draw anything with my left hand. I did try to write though... let's just say, the result was less than successful.

Thanks for replys and opinions!
Btw, it's interesting to hear that man in the background can be confused for girl's shadow.

2 completely mindless sketches i did in MS Paint. Ink or Photoshop are for pussies ;)

Here's the same pic as the second one above, but with different background. Which dfo you prefer?

Critics' Lounge / Re: first characters C&c

Agree that the first one was the best. The second try has too big (Bamby?) eyes and Evil's version, while it looks cool on its own, lost the feature that made original so good: head perspective. Looking-up head nicely supported the posture of body and made character interesting and alive. Drawing her head straight ended with girl looking a bit wooden.

War is shit.
I'm glad i only experienced it for 10 days (i was around 12 back then)... just as we had referendum on independence of Slovenia and secession from former Yugoslavia.
Thankfuly nothing too seriously bad happened, but stuff like going to bunker at 7am as sirens went on, seeing tank barricades and millitary vehicle on streets and even hearing some shooting, was really weird and unsettling experience.
At that time, as i was still quite little, it all seemed even a bit adventurous to me... but today, as i think back and see what shit came out from this war (in other former republics), i get goosebumps how close we were to disaster.

Job? What's that?
I'm working part time in animation studio and draw whatever comes around- animations, comics, illustrations (sometimes even those boooring technical ones, ew), flash games...

When i will grow up (not in another 25 years) i'll probably be a heart surgeon or rocket scientist, making billions of dollars and having a mansion filled with Playboy bunnies (Haffner will be my personal gardener and pool cleaner).
