Thanks again!
Yeah, working links are coming ;D

Igor corrects Gilbot, that he is actually a big Red Guy fan... that probably also clears up why he is always bouncing on his butt instead of walking.

Hey DodgeR!
Yeah, agree with you about navigation... the thing is, i don't really know how to keep similar navigation as on main page without screwing the design of gallery completely (those buttons would be quite distracting there)...
Hm, maybe i could add those text links on the bottom of main page too?...

Thank you all for comments!
Minimi- cool suggestions! i already got a few complaints that site doesn't show all on screen, even in 1024x768... Hm, i'll make it a bit smaller.
Also, i'll try to put the menu on top of page too.
About buttons- you see, the whole main page is one big gif image, with hotspots for buttons. Since i suck at HTML (and Dreamweaver) i didn't want to bother with all those tables, etc.... as it usualy never look as i'd want to :) That's the reason there are no over-button actions.

Evil- you mean the previous site? The problem with it was, there was too much text and it relied on updates (that got more and more infrequent). This is more portfolio-style.
About speed- the site will move on faster server as soon as it will be finished :)

Here is its temporary location: http://maniac.adventuredevelopers.com/igor/index.htm
It's far from finished (only one link work for now and not all pics.. but there's nothing new anyway).

The site will stay this way for some time, as i don't have time to finish it at the moment... but that doesn't mean suggestions and critics are not welcomed- quite contrary! Rip it apart ;D

If possible, view it in 1024x768 or above resolution.

General Discussion / HTML question

I'm just working on my web site and i stumbled into a problem- at the moment, no matter what i try, html always add a line under text links...
So i was wondering if there's a way to make text links without that blasted under-line?

Thanks in advance!

Hm... N3TGraph, i don't actually see your point. Eric's tutorial is great, but it has nothing to do with InCreator's tutorial. It's completely different style.

I don't know... it's not bad at all. But quite honestly i found it boring.
The game is story-driven one (Broken Sword style) but the story itself is so bland that i almost had to force myself to finish it.

Graphics are technicaly gorgeous! Ok, personaly i think they are missing some of the freshness, imagination and edge of the old LA games (especially comparing to CMI, Dig and Dott), but they are by far the best aspect of the game.

Sound... i don't know what to think about it. Voices were quite good, but music left me cold. All soundtrack felt so generic that it didn't set me in any real mood.

Puzzles were mixed bag. Some cool and some not so cool. But pixel hunting was *very* annoying.

So, i'd say it's worth playing but it's far from perfect.

General Discussion / Re:Does The Matrix Suck?

Jeez... Matrix... again....

I only saw first movie and while it wasn't completely bad i certainly can't understand what was so special about it to start a cult.  Half hour of "deep" high-tech anime style mumbo-jumbo and then another hour and a half of ballet. Juhey!

Hey Neole,
it's a bit slow at the moment as i don't have much time right now. But as soon as i'll be able to breath again, i'll finish that damn thing :)

Oh and i'm looking forward to Jungle Camp game. It looks daring and fresh- i like it already! :)

If you want to start more seriously with animation, then i suggest to check out Richard Williams's "The Animator's Survival Kit". It's actually even better than Preston's Cartoon Animation. It's not very cheap, but well worth the money. It's not called animation bible for nothing :)

What is that you are saying Butcher?...
Bah, who needs text when you have avatar like that :)

Neole, great to see you back! I hope we'll be able to see some more of your superb art- this thread was one of the most inspiring ones for sure :)

BUT BUT BUT!!!

Great work man!
I like some kind of "speed-paint" feeling in your drawings, cool :)
My only minor critic would be anatomy of figures. I'm usually the last one, who'd critize pics in style: "his hands are too big/too small...", as i find the overal feeling of drawings much more important. But here i think it takes away a bit from paintings.
All your pics have great colors and atmosphere, but in a few cases, they are toned down with a little stiff characters.
I still think your strongest pic was the second one (with included pencil sketch), because of solid pose.

Other than that, it's amazing!
