Oh, i like the fog effect! Too bad i already sent the illo forward... Hm, i'll ask if there's still time to change this. Anyway, appreciate it!

Thanks for the link Eric :)
This commercial looks absolutely stunning!
I was always fan of puppet/clay animation... too bad it's so time-consuming.

Eggie got me worried for a sec though ;)

Thank you again for great feedback! :)
I'll let you know when the book will be published (don't know its title yet- only that there will be 5 short stories).

Eggie- huh? With "stop motion" you mean clay animation? Any link with pics?

Check this out:

Btw, animated movie in magic eye? That should be interesting!
#287
Yeah, that's great!
I saw first stereogram a few years back on some exhibition. It took me a while to see the image too :)

Dear DG!
I'm reading your column frequently and haven't noticed similar question yet.
Here's how it is: girlfriend and i were together for quite some time and until now everything was perfect. Sure, she was a bit on a quiet side and people were always staring at her when we went in a restaurant or cinema... But in bed... it was perfect. Till now. Just yesterday we had one of the usual hot nights and in the middle of action, she simply exploded! There's a huge hole and i don't think i'll be able to inflate her again...
What should i do? Does that mean, she doesn't love me anymore?

Desperate

Thank you all for great feedback! :)

DM: great suggestion about a slight blue shade in sky color, thanks! If i'll have some time left, i'll sure try it out. You are right though, that it might kill some contrast that is created with different colors in foreground. I'll see :)

I'm working on some illustrations for children book and thought i'd pop one (that i just finished) here.
Nothing ags-related, but it's been a while since i posted some pic.

Fantastic!
The atmosphere is perfect (kinda The Dig-like), i like puzzles and graphics are gorgeous!
#292
Hey, the second one looks great!
Just a suggestion: if anything, i'd change the tree. Not that it doesn't look good, but it's such a huge DOTT "trademark", that it makes the image look like its copy (even though the rest of the image is completely original). I think it would be better if you'd add a personal touch here.

It's the same, as if you'd copy clouds from CMI- it's just a "don't" thing :)

I like this very much!

I really like both- Hollister's one for being simple and to the point and Penguinx's on for all the great curves.

First i must say i simply love the character and animation. Great style!
The only thing that doesn't look that good to me are his eyes... At first i thought those are his hair. I think the problem here are not "hollow" eyes, which i personally like, but their placement.
Btw, here's a little edit of how i thought character was supposed to look the first moment i saw the pic, hehe:

This is fantastic! I love black outlines and agree that characters work better without gradients.
Also Holovision is absolutely sweet!
#297
Hm, i think the problem here is more, that if you play only one type of games, you'll eventually get sick of the genre- no matter how much you like it.
#298
Nice reply Ionias looking forward to your next game!
About web space- did you try to contact AD?

In general i don't think there's a point in arguing against reviews anyway. Every reviewer is standing behind his/her opinion.
Lets not forget Gilbert Goodmate started out as amateur project as well and nobody seem to spare it any harsh review or comment.

Besides- AG gave Broken Sword2 2 points out of 5. I think Ionias can be proud :)

*Igor throws away bowling ball (along with a few knifes and guns he was hiding under his underpants)*

As i said, no hard feelings. But thanks for apologizing :)
Just to clarify- my "before TV there was rado.... before houses there were caves" was clearly taken out of context. I was far from comparing games with real life issues. What i did, was comparing advancement of games with technology advancement in general- exaggerated of course. The only reason i did this, was because i misunderstood the point of your argument (as most of other people here clearly did).

Here, now i can finally retire :)

He better does, or i'll throw my bowling ball at him ;)
