LOL. What amuses me is that a LOT of professional composers seem to steal other tunes. Horner often uses variations of other themes other people have done, a lot of film themes have been obviously ripped from earlier classical music and other sources etc.

They're job is to compose yet they steal.

I don't think it's about stealing. I'm sure all those composers would love to write completely unique and new pieces. But the fact is, directors or whoever makes the game/movie, already have a type of music for certain scenes in their mind... and that is usually music they heard in some other movies&games. And when composer gets description of what the director want (with possible "i'd like something in style of *put a name of the movie here* musical score"), it's hard to be completely original.

What an improvement! Bravo!
Agree about sky though. I think something a bit more grey would work great here (blue just feels out of the place on this picture to me).
Anyway, superb!

Will the sequel be "Dickboy: Reloaded"?

Bah, i don't like it... but i was planning to re-design my homepage anyway. So, i'll probabyl stay on AD (at least it's nice to have unlimited space).

Btw, is AD down again, or is it just my conection?

Really like those last two.
About animation- again, how are you planning to animate? With symbols or classical (frame by frame)?
If with symbols, then you won't have *too* much work- just separate different parts of body in different symbols&layers and animate (move them).

Absolutely love it! Great animation and design (especially the alien- adorable facial expressions)! Really cute... in "blow the poor bunny's entrails up" kind of way :)
Nope, no critics from me.

First of all- non stink ;)

The fourth is the one i like the most- fantastic job on that one. Really atmospheric

The first three are good too, however i do feel they look too "random" (as if they would come from some landscape creator). What they are lacking is some style and originality.
I think you came close with the second one- interesting shapes and formations. The only thing that bothers me is, that separated elements of picture doesn't seem too well integrated together (rock&sky). Maybe you could solve that by adding some different textures (maybe a bit less photo-realistic, since i think that's what takes away something from first three pictures)...

Looking good Squinky! I think level of details is just fine. That's the beauty of vectors- it's not the level of lines that slow down the animation, but the level of "special effects" such as bluring and transparency... and number of objects of course.

Flash (or Toonboom- similar) is great for animation of any kind, despite of what some might say. For any useful tips you must tell us more about your animation though.
Will it be shockwave or are you planning to export it in avi/mov file? Are you planning to animate it classicaly (paper) or will you animate using symbols (*very* recommended for shockwave stuff)?

Haha, that last one is perfect!

Eurovision is like Ed Woods movies- it's so bad you actually have fun watching those miserable guys&gals thinking they just reached their 3 minutes of fame and glory  ;D

Educational games with AGS. The worst thing that could happen ever.
You know, i don't think that's a bad idea at all. It would be challenging to create an educational game (about optional theme) without making it boring as hell.

Well, what i like about Larry games, is the comic edge. As a matter of fact i always found it intriguing, how some people can find a few lines/pixels that form a naked character with over-sized heads even remotely offensive/tasteless. It's a cartoon for christ sake ;)
The funny thing is, those same people won't even blink with their eyes when they'll see some gore-violent image or game... even less if it will be a cartoon version of it.
Eh, the only thing that comes to mind is: social programming. Some things are more acceptable than the others... even though it should have been the other way around. Kind of creepy actually :P

Anyway, to answer Neighboor's question: go for it!

You can always press the paper against a window...
True, true :) However it will become *very* uncomfortable after a few frames... ;)

Here's some website about constructing your own animation light table http://www.animationbureau.com/pages/builddisk.html
It's not the best though, as it doesn't precisely describe every step. I know i saw some better site, but can't find it at the moment...

I'm ashamed, but i don't really know that many directors by name (probably saw their movies though)... So, i'll just blurbed out the most obvious ones:

Charlie Chaplin (if there wasn't a word "genius", we should invent it for him).
Tim Burton (especially his art direction)
Alfred Hitchcock
Robert Zemeckis
Quentin Tarantino
Roman Polanski
Francis Ford Coppola
Steven Spielberg (ok, at least *some* of his movies)

Thanks for fonts Synthetique! Looking great :)

Yep as Eric said, don't even try to animate on paper without light table/box. If you don't want to buy it, you can still make it yourself (i think i even got a link with tutorials on how to make your own light-table... i'll try to find it).

As about stick figures- it's all about preferences, but i find it easier to draw simple circles and ellipses for body and head right away, as this gives me much stronger 3d feeling and (at least for me) makes it easier to visualize the end animation & poses.

Just be aware, it's very slow and precise procedure. If you want instant&fast results is the animation on computer better solution (animation doesn't look as cool though :) ).

Great as usual! Love your comic style :)
I don't really think there's anything wrong with man's pose. He looks perfectly knocked down to me.
Well... since you were asking for suggestions, Here's a quick little edit.
But I'm not sure if he looks any more knocked down this way.

Very, very good! I think the main strenght of screenshot lies in color choices- very moody and interesting. Also the ornaments on fireplace give the picture very classy look.
The character is great too. I wouldn't agree that his colors doesn't match with background. Quite contrary, they fit very well (ok, he does disappear a bit on a dark background- but it's not really bothersome).
