Just wanted to say i'm enjoying this thread very much! Great work Neole! Keep it up :)

Hehe, cool one Evilspacefart. With that chin she reminds me on Drew Barrymore ;)

Yeah, must say i prefer the loose sketchy lines on face on animated gif, over more detailed face on second example. If you could add some feminine features from my example, but still keep the looseness of first animation, you'll have a winner :)

Hm, i don't know... to me she seems even more like a man now.

Here, i did a quicky of how i think you could add a bit more of feminine touch, but still keep boyish attitude:

I used thinner neck, bigger mouth, narrower face and a bit wider eyes. Don't know if that's what you want though.

Fantastic work! I sent you pm.

CJ, i was wondering the same thing as Jannar about compiling movie files into one file. Is it possible?
There's of course a trick with renaming files, for example, from 1.avi to 1.dat, to "hide" movies... but once you know the trick they aren't hidden anymore ;)

I'll repeat myself, but i got to say it again- this is certainly the best piece of work coming from Poser i have seen so far.

Must agree that pale skin tone looked better though- much more stylish. The current skin makes character look too "3d rendered in 2d" style. As far as animation goes- it's perfect! Very relaxed and nice looking!
Just be sure to not put beauty of animation in front of playing experience. There's nothing more nerve-breaking, than a character that needs half of minute just to pass a screen :)

About size of characters: i think the best way would be to make sure that backgrounds are drawn in manner to allow character to be more or less of the same hight in every scene... or if there's more distinctive perspective, to be reduced. The only rule is: don't ever *enlarge* characters! ;) Seeing the main character suddenly crumble into huge pixels just spoils the atmosphere.

Looking good! In fact, i'll gladly go mad, if all patients in mental hospital look like this ;)
Anathomy is fine. The only thing i'd change would be right (or her left) foot, that appears to be too small.

Must say i didn't like much original FT (that is, except for the eyeballs-dropping graphics), so i don't really care about sequel. But i agree with Helm. I mean, i'm sure Doom players would go nuts if Doom3 turned out to be a point&click adventure. The same is here, except reversed. If "go with technology and new trends" means we'll get a dumbed-down sequels of classic games, it's ok with me, but i won't buy them.

Happy Birthday Erica! Wish you all the best :)

Hehe, the first one is a classic!  :D
Though, i had some problems seeing what's going on too. Maybe a gun in guy's pocket could be a bit more visible/bigger and turnip could be drawn in it's full glory(not half buried in soil). Other than that it rocks :)

Great background, it has "spooky" written all over it :)
I think it's a bit too dark though... I mean, it must be dark, but the way it is now, the house is very difficult to see- maybe add a bit more moonlight highlight on house or sky.

Must say it looks great! Certainly the best piece of work coming from Poser i saw so far. As a matter of fact it looks completely 2d. I'm really interested to see this in motion.

I think hicolor is more than enough for any game out there- you don't have problems with palettes (as with 256 mode) and only the author of picture/background can usualy see the quality difference between hi-color and true-color pic. So, i don't think the "better" quality of true-color would really justify the speed slow down and bigger file size.
That said, 3d hardware acceleration would still be nice :)

Fantastic! Really amazing looking site :)
#436
Man, you would be crazy to change it! It looks fantastic... actually, i find it more interesting than MI2/Indy style of characters.
#437
Great :)
I think the easiest way for users would be an option, to assign pictures for dialogs, in the main "dialog topics editor" along with "Show" and "Say" check-boxes (if picture would be assign for topic, it would be displayed as pic, otherwise as normal text).
An option to display dialog pictures in a vertical or horizontal line would be neat too.

Then again, i don't have a clue how hard/easy would this be to implement :)

Love it- picture and coloring (very comic-book like, great :)).
As for non defined area: my suggestion would be to fade the color into white. Blue is killing the pic :)
