I'm not going to add my games in the games database this year or the next year. I have my reasons. And I understand - the rules are rules. I appreciate all bicilotti's efforts for the awards and I wish luck to all contestants.

You should rename the awards to AGS Games Database Awards 2012. My game is created with AGS and it's released in 2012.

Few weeks ago I finnished playnig "The Dig". I liked the game from the beginning. The characters are interesting. The graphics are good. The music, atmosphere, voice acting and the animations (especially the diving in the water) are really nice. But somewhere near the end something started to annoys me - the puzzles. The puzzles in the middle of the game and near the end were very annoying.

Examples:
1. See this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGo9IKf1RiM (the rod with the stone puzzle).
2. Also the lens puzzles (you must hold the mouse button down in a strange mechanism button - how should I know that).
3. The animal trap puzzle - it was very confusing.

I think that the puzzles near the end must be very clever constructed - not very difficult.

"The Dig" left a bitter taste. Bacuase of the puzzles. And it's pity - bacuase all other things in the game were really great!

Yesterday this bug appears in my game. I upgraded AGS to 3.2.1. Problem is solved now.

I planned to release Cosmos Quest 4 until the end of 2011. But the testing will take at least 1 month. So the release is moved to January or February 2012. Here is a new screenshot as an apology for the delay.

In my games I used solution 4 and I received a lot of complaints like this:

"Sometimes I am afraid we dont understand the puzzles, or better we miss the hint what to do, especially if we know what to do but we were asked why?".

I think it's better to avoid that kind of puzzles. When we create the game and puzzles, we know everything - the story, the gameplay and everything is logical for us. But the players sometimes (very often) are missing something. And then they're saying: "It's illogical".

It's so hard to decide what is the best (the golden) solution, so the puzzle to be not so easy and not so hard.

I have a question about a puzzle constructing. Here is the situation:

- Person A (the player) has an inventory item X
- Person B needs that item X
- Person A doesn't have a slightest idea that B needs that item X

What to do when A (the player) accidentally gives that item X to B? To allow A to give X directly to B or first A has to know that B needs that item X?

What is the better decision?
