Cosmos Quest III: The Mines of Isagor (90% complete)
Release date: 6th April 2009
#242
Progress update (40% finished). Cosmos Quest III is going to be a commercial game (EUR 4.99). It wasn't an easy decision, but I really need a piece and time to create the new episodes of Cosmos Quest. The only way to do this is to make the game commercial. I know that some of you will be disappointed, but as I said, there is no other way.

Cosmos Quest I is translated in Spanish (thanks to cireja) and added in the AGS game's database. We also translated all graphic texts (like blinking motel sign, graphic exit buttons and ect).

The game is removed by its author.

I read all comments and complains about Cosmos Quest II and then I've fixed all problems and bugs. The fixed version is uploaded. The Spanish translation for Cosmos Quest II is almost complete. I will upload the Spanish version in few days. Now we are translating Cosmos Quest 1 in Spanish.

"Notable" for one person means nothing to another. Who decides what is notable, and what is not.

What you will say if someone says that games in database here are not notable?
You will say "We don't care". We like them.

Snarky, my post is not complain! The post is about AGS Award importance.

Bah. You know what I say? Ignore Wikipedia...

I disagree. I will not quit searching the places to popularize my game, just because of the wikipedia editors.

PS: I'm receiving more visitors from wikipedia than from AGS website (which is not good).

EDIT: Oh, I see what you're saying. Yeah, I guess that makes sense, but I don't really want to be the one to write them...

I will make everything that will make AGS and AGS games more popular!

I don't think each AGS game should have a wikipedia article, perhaps one large article for lots of games.

I also don't think that each AGS game should have a wikipedia article. But every game that have won an AGS award should have a wikipedia page!!!

I just want to share what happened around 1 year ago. Someone wrote an article about Cosmos Quest in Wikipedia. In that article there was a link to the website of Cosmos Quest and a screenshot from the game. That article was included in many other wikipedia articles. My stats showed many visitors from that page and I was very happy about it. Then a wikipedia editor deleted that page :(. For a every article deletion in wikipedia there is an explanation from the wikipedia editor. The explanation for the deletion of the article of my game was something like "The game is not notable. This game hasn't been awarded by the AGS". I don't want to argue if my game is notable or not. I just want to stress on how AGS Awards are important!!!

My advice: Every game that has an AGS award should have an article in wikipedia. Then include that article in all other related articles in wikipedia - adventure games, AGS article and etc. This will increase your website stats. I guaratee.

I expected more comments for the last (the 3rd) screenshot that I've posted. Anyway. Thank you very much guys. I'm continuing my work :)

This controversy is pointless. Different people, different taste. I personally prefer high resolution. But I'm also playing low resolution. The latest game that I played was Space Quest 0: Replicated (320x200 - 16 colors). And I must say that I enjoyed it a lot! But if Space Quest 0: Replicated was made in high resolution by the same author, I'm sure the game would bring me more pleasure.

I don't like that kind of graphics...

I also tried the floppy sound :) But it doesn't fit to the background music of my game :)

I just wanted you to know, that I've ripped your idea of recorded floppy sounds  ;D
(which are hard to record in proper quality btw.)

Creating your own AGS game = best adventure game ever! :)
#259
:) ha. This is an idea! And it's easy :)

That gives me another idea:
While making an adventure game in AGS, record that "scratching-5.25-inch-floppy-drive" sound (or look for such a wav file on internet) and play it in the game as background FX every time you go from room to room.
That will give ya the real oldshool feeling in the game... ;D

I want to hear the scraching sound of 5.25 inch floppy drive every time when i go from one room to another :)

Why not run it on your "new" pc in dosbox and ajust the screen setting the way you want?
