Added 15% of red to edited skin to show you what I really meant:

I mean this...

EVERY rocket man should have some balls.
But yes, since all outlines are so messy, better make a whole new one and don't repeat crotch mistake.

I suggest a tiny bit more saturation onto skin.  Nobody has skin tone like this!

Also, you could full feet a bit together, by pixel or two.

Otherwise, superb sprite, not much to crit here.

Quote*Kept pixel size persistant.
*Added in a couple of tiny features.
You did? I don't see ANY changes, apart that outlines are even messier now.
You are either not getting the point at all or have some phobia against wasting more than 10 seconds on a picture.
I quote Eigen:
"Look at the edit Ben made, I'm sure you could do something like that as well."

* The crotch is still there
* The pixels are still messy. Tiny pixels on fingers and large on all outlines?
* I don't see any improvement on helmet. Why did you use >extra< large blue outline on it? While point was to keep ALL outlines at same size?

I suggest to post if you really need help; or are ready to use it.

Fluke, what is this?

Heavy pixels mixed with tiny ones?
At best, this sprite is awfully weird.

I don't think it'll work in any game. Even if you like pixellated look, keep them at same size atleast!

For 640x480, the sprite is awfully huge.

Apart from that, the sprite looks quite okay. What I would do is lower the crotch a bit. Noones feet start directly under belt. Also, stomach could be a bit lower, he looks sorta like an ape with such long hands.

The Rumpus Room / Re: Best ROCK song ever!

I dare to differ.
I hate rock.

I have MOST of NES games ever made. Atleast, ever sold in Europe and USA. Including Chinese pirate ones.
Maybe even 80-90%. And I got em for free!

I really can't imagine why anyone would spend this much money on ancient games.
Especially if it's like, less than 2 GB of downloading of 128/256KB roms. A simple PC game is larger and harder to get.

I totally like it!
For a suggestion - though it's more my taste - lower amount of green color from brown surfaces, such like wooden areas in saloon. So greenish wood fits better into a ship (sea weeds), but not a dry western town.

Everything else bleeds too much green also, though it looks good here and there.

Also, pay attention to contrast and anti-aliasing used. The tree in 2nd screenshot has too little contrast (which makes it look somewhat flat) and probably too much anti-aliasing, especially near sky. Atleast, when compared to other shots.

"kick"?
rofl... you'd better give some use to this command. I cannot think of better way to add quick humor into game. Using it in wrong places could result in lots of funny responses/happenings.

Your modelling is quite professional, but I totally hate the vinyls on the 4x4. It's  a headache!
Also, it doesn't go with red interior.

EDIT: Also, I've been hearing some things of this game being like an interactive movie. How so?

Well, compared to previous games of the series, there's very little of actual "game" in it. You mostly click yourself from cutscene to cutscene. Also, most of the puzzles consist only going here or there and picking something up.

It would be good if Yahtzee came back, cos it'd be interesting to see how he would reply to posts like Increators :P

Why should he answer my post? I didn't say the game's bad, but that I simply don't admire the story much and it isn't anything revolutionary neither.
Also, it's an over-average computer game, but he didn't cure cancer or something so everyone should join the cheering masses.

I wouldn't say I loved it, but it was quite alright.

I totally don't get the story, and with billion times same cult-murder-curse thing happening in adventure games, I don't care to spend more headache on it. Not my type of thing, I guess.

But the game itself is quite good, although it's very short and plays out like an interactive cartoon.
The quality of everything is definetly higher than previous series. And Yathzee is always at his best when it comes to creating an atmosphere, no disappointment here neither.

I think that Croshaw can write a good story, but he overdoes it.
Isn't simplicity the genius?

**erases  game and gets back to Ben-Jordan-sequel waiting mode
I simply like Grundislav's works more.

Hm... no games, then.

Sounds like we die together, Windows XP and I.
Or wait for entirely new OS  :P
#1614
Looks quite good.
If I'd add something, then it'll be some noise, scratches and damage to the title image, so the thing looks worn down and old.
#1615
SO many games?
And I was just wondering is there anything to nominate at all?

Jeesh, gotta start playing.

But what is that incompatibility thing with linux I've heard of?

Can I play games under Linux? Like, modern games, not solitaire. Use Adobe software? Tv-game emulators? 3ds max? Winamp? Mozilla and all other usual Winuser stuff? Does directx run on Linux?

Or do I have to use emulator of some kind for all this? If yes, isn't it hardcore slowdown and CPU-torture?

The face lacks contrast and blends into one large bright spot.
Try adding some.

QuoteI tried clicking on that grass tutorial vid and it wouldn't work, do you know why?
Nope. The link is correct, it should work. Did your movie player open and nothing happened? Then you need to make sure you have xvid codec installed.

Actually, every photo I found on cliffs looks like even much smaller rocks piled up...
So, realism and likeability of picture have serious conflict here.

I noticed 2 issues I have to point out:

1) The mouse wheel (to scroll around) doesn't work while script is open (atleast Dialog script). Also, it doesn't work for Main menu. Don't forget to add this, if possible. Especially due much longer main menu.
But this probably needs making either script or menu active to make wheel "understand" what to scroll...
Anyway, this worked in "old" AGS. For everything.

2) Closing a tab should make last tab in row active, not the very first. Atleast to me, it's quite confusing.

ah, and

3) In general settings, "yes" and "no" feels much more reasonable options than "true" and "false".
I can't explain why. But programmers like true/false more, I guess.

Besides this, I like new design very much! Especially the lovely character editor with full overview on sprites.
