I still kinda feel bad about Uku. You know, in our tiny 1-million population country only serious AGSers (the local pioneers) were Eigen (though he's more into AGI and SCI) and, of course, I.

And now gameboy joined... who's very productive, btw and has lot of potential. But in Estonia, word about AGS spreads rapidly, and since only game creators are 10-13 year old hardcore Game Maker fans (with extreme skill to make a maze game  :P) who all know each other and check each others' doings, all kind of noobs also move over to AGS.  :-\ Like uku...

Good reason or bad reason, it's still an awful shame to see whole Europe sneaking away like a beaten dog.

What a shame. No one dares to tell them to stfu.
What if some of them crazy (oh sorry, deeply insulted, i mean) people declares war on some European country? Invades? There's lots of men with power and resources to do that around there. Then what? Others watch and say "umm, it's your own fault."?

And soon, I'm taking a ship to a ski trip into Norway, the holy land of Allah a.k.a the Far North Middle East Colony?

I have 2 positions here:
* don't mess with muslims, they command our oil
* but if they mess with us, punish them

I use "muslim" as a general name for these crazies here, not as directly the believers of that faith. I have no clue who's good or bad muslim here. But fact is that they have done enough bad already: While not all muslims are terrorists, almost every terrorist is a muslim.

And offense against god != offense against nation or country.
Let Allah punish the infidels and leave embassies alone!

So, every "tolerant by modern level of sucking up" westerner rushes to "understand" these poor people. Do they care? If we were in global faith war, these mega-caring westerners would be shot along with others.

They are hostile against us and they are not hiding this. Why make good face in the bad game? Why aren't the flags and embassies of Afganistan not burning yet? Why aren't diplomats sent out of western countries?

Nowadays, everyone needs their own Bush.

QuoteAnd of course it isn't free, but for 294 euro a month, it's not expensive either.

Holy crap! I'm living in a quite large 3-room flat (+ kitchen, big hallway, separate bathroom and separate WC) and even that comes cheaper than 294 euros. Well, it's not the city Center, but 10 minutes drive from it.

You people have no clue, don't you.

2X

* Made pants ALOT wider (total redraw), added pockets, pulled them down to knees
* Made shirt atleast 4 sizes larger
* Added stupid ski hat
* Replaced pistol? with Chupa Chupsâ,,¢ (lollipop)

:D

But what the f**k is this Uku guy about, I don't understand neither. Don't drink and try to post on forums at the same time!

Just for fun, I made another edit... I saw gang of idiots at the bus few days ago and they looked like this:

2X

The cross on the head was actually a tattoo, and the gun is replaced with knife this time.
Hell... they made noise and eventually got into a fight with some old man, probably a war veteran. I hate local transport!

Is AGS my real life?

P.S. Bye, LJUBI. I Don't understand your depart but it's definetly not the reason I'd quit AGS.

Good colors... but pay more attention to ProgZ edit!

* Lower the shorts! Only classical nerdsâ,,¢ pull their pants up SO high. For a rude dudeâ,,¢, the pants should be much lower.
* ProgZmax changed the feet so they belong to a rude dude, and not the class FatBoyâ,,¢. Do same.
* Give this hippy a haircut! Does Arnold Schwarzenegger wear hair like this? Does Bruce willis? Bullies don't look Elvis.
* Instead of idiotic-rude look, in your last edit, he looks more like a scared retard. Go Progz' way here too.

General Discussion / Re: Brain Science

Whoeee, L&D! That's another game i'm seeking if there's a remake done, sometimes... no luck yet :(
It was quite terrifying awesome to hear digitized human scream through PC Speaker...

Brain science? There's a question I have not found answer yet... maybe lections like this explain the subject somewhere?

The processing speed of brain. You know, you have all taken a quick nap sometimes. 2-3 minutes or so. Like before work or school, after turning off alarm clock or so.
In this superquick sleep, I sometimes see a dream. What's weird is that I perfectly sense dream "going on" in real time. I even have counted time in dream, or waited... This sleep is usually very "thin", I mean, I sleep and dream, but still realize that it's morning and I must get up very soon and stop dreaming. Sometimes I even gain control of my dream... Virutal Reality, hooray!

Well, what's really weird, is that often, these dreams - if they were recorded directly from "what I see" or how else call this... could make 3-4 hour long movies! Even telling what I saw could take a nice hour. But I saw it all during 2-3 minutes? It gets even stranger if the "real world" voices come into my dream. Like someone waking me up. Someone says two sentences, in real time, with few second interval. But in my dream, I hear this, then live through a whole adventure or take a 300 km walk, and then hear second sentence. Like "Wake up" < long 3hour dream here / 2 seconds in realtime >  "It's 8 o'clock already".

So, wtf? Can brain process so much of content in so short time? And if so, why can't we watch movies on 500% speedup or so?

If I'd ever attend to something named "brain science", I'd go to seek answer to questions like this. And hell I got many of them.
Any tips on good articles?

Hypnotized... well, kind of. I did it myself.
Try not to sleep for 52 hours!

Seeing a dream while being awake - just with some weird dream crossfaded onto what eyes really see?

And the dream is totally controllable, I could be superman with just at will?

Sitting down for 5 minutes, (I could swear it felt no more than 5 minutes!!!) and realizing that you've been sitting like this for 3 hours without moving?

Other similar time warps, a sort of bullet time?

Total sound slowdown! I can't explain or describe this. My ears just heard everything slowed down  :P

Instant amnesia periods, where you have no idea what happened few hours ago?

Etc...

Cool, but dangerous and painful. Don't try at home!

Start by making his clothes brighter.
Such dark green and blue looks rarely good.

Also, he needs some kind of nose. A simple dot may do.
And his face is too short. I'd move jaw down a pixel or two.

There's much tripper stuff out there.

Now that's something useful, Mordalles!
Thanks.

I *can* think logically and I *know* that things like this can't be written down 100%. But if you - for example - walked upon a some Pixar's modeller and asked him to create - for example - a material for plastic, he knows where to start.

I-- don't!

There's surely some basic properties and iron rules and I also believe they're available somewhere. Like this refraction index table in this PDF Mordalles contributed.

Things like this.

A bit... but there's only tutorials??
Or did I miss the value sheet somewhere?

Tutorials go in-depth into materials. But if I'm making a scene with 20 different materials (steel, glass, etc) I can't search for and go through 20 different tutorials just to get the values I need...

I need something brief.
#1877
Well, I made a major googlefest, but couldn't find one thing:

A database of materials - or more specifically some kind of datasheet to achieve realistic materials in 3ds max.

Like a page which lists different fabric/surface/material types, and correct (well, some kind of basic) values to use in 3ds max for transparency, transclusency, reflection, diffusion, etc.

All I found was some very informative databases, with everything from density to reflection, but they are NOT meant for 3d modelling software such as max, and I'm not experienced enough to convert values by myself or figure out what goes where.

I'm quite sure that databases like this do exist for specifically MAX too - where else do professionals get their values?

I remember someone linking to a forum where was a tutorial-like thread about transclusency, and typical values for different surfaces... resources like this is exactly what I need.

What other personal information are you telling the internet? And if you're willing to put it in your profile then you're willing to let other people read it so... What's the big privacy issue?

Sssh!!!
Spoiler
cybersex!
[close]

Actually, I personally don't care much. Who can assure me that these nice morons at MS aren't already logging my activities and talks?

But do anyone really care? MSN has <uncountable amount> of users. No one could track them all.

Also, what's the fuss about "changing the policy"?
If anyone - for example - dropped a (fake) hint at media about terrorists using MSN - or used to coordinate one of attacks, and media would grab the bait (come on, who wouldn't want to hit Microsoft with some big scandal?) next day every single IM provider on this planet would reorganise privacy policies instantly.

That's what I think...

Omg what unhealthy hair!
You look so old and desperate geek type with hair like this.  :(
24? By pic I'd say 45!

Also, you can't have much variety with hair that are pure examples of ragdoll physics in reality... so

CUT THEM OFF!

And then let them grow back + take good care of them, so they'd be healthy and strong.

During this, you will go through hair-hair revolution

* after the cut you look strong military dude, Bruce Willis like
* as they get longer, you will look handsome-type, like Jason Priestly maybe. You could also form them into this 90's teen series protagonist popular hairstyle. You know how this one looks like... everybody does.
* and if they're "ready", get yourself something you really like... MacGyver? :D No... Afro is teh r0xx0r!
