I'm not sure really, since it's my GF's laptop. What I do know is for some time, charger only worked if you bent wire correct way. So she was fiddling and cursing with it every time so it would charge. Even used rubber band to keep wire in connected position. Probably repeated bending is what finished this cable totally.

Of course, it was all happening inside insulation. Insulation and rubber piece from connector, those I removed myself to detect the problem.

Inner one was still intact, that much i know -- bridging worked!. Inner one is hard to break also, it has quite strong plastic insulation tube around it.

Nope, I fixed it!
I had same idea as Tuomas, though he pushed me to try it: I rolled a load of copper wire (taken from random audio wire) around whole stuff, creating a bridge which seconded as holding whole stuff tight. Added a load of duct tape and it worked!

This looks like a solution of a sailor rather than electrician, but if it works, all's fine.
Going to buy new charger in few days anyway.

Laptop charger.
Inner wire intact and isolated.
No soldering kit.
No money for new charger.
1,5 hours battery life left.

How to fix this elegantly - I mean, so it wouldn't break next day?

I don't see how religion could fit anywhere in this test, though.
Center is probably worst place to be: without extreme, solid views, you are prime target for voting campaigns, vote sale etc. Like a leaf in the wind: you're still available vote on the market, so everybody tries to get you on their side!
In other hand, very content, I guess. Which is globally good.

* make branches A LOT thinner.
* leaves don't grow on tree trunk. Some of the branches are almost as thick as trunk! I don't think those would have leaves on it.
* Make more leaves, and a bit larger leaves
* Make leaf(blossom?) brunches fatter
* Try to reposition center of gravity on a tree back to a bit more believable position (redraw tree to be more upright). Trees are supported by roots and might be like this without falling over, but I find current one still a bit extreme

Otherwise, I like!

3ds max has changed name more times than it would be normal, but have stayed basically same since version R3. Which is about 11 years?

Why would you want to go back even farther?

That's true.

However, Winter War was one-time victory. I doubt russkies would fall for weather & lack of motivation twice. Especially since days of trench digging are history and current rocket batteries might even reach Sweden... or something. Afghanistan would be safer haven!

Seconding that he doesn't count as serial killer at all. He's responsible for the millions of deaths, but he didn't murder anyone, he "merely" order other people to kill.

Try saying something like this when you have russians (especially elderly ones) around.
You'd have a whole new bunch of killers to pick!

Seconding that austrian guy from 40-s with tiny moustache. Dude singlehandedly just... went and did what others couldn't even imagine in their most raging "hate the world" fantasies. Also, going against whole world is guaranteed epic move, no matter how it feels to the "world". Also, it's quite hard to gain so much infamity that whole generations are constantly teached (brainwashed, even) to hate you.

However, ANYONE who tries to make a joke on company wide email lists always looks like an idiot to at least 30% of the recipients.

Seconded, though i'd put that number closer to 90%

Every person who enters music school, learns to play by classical scores. Mozart, Beethoven... but also Beatles, etc.
Is that a copyright infringement also?

And sampling, wider topic here... would every musician follow law with finger, or would - say - Donna Summer run from one courthouse to another, there wouldn't be WHOLE GENRES of music, like house or hip-hop...

I find copyrighting music unethical in major scale, as it's a bit too important part of human civilization/culture to bend over tiny capitalist interests, however, copying whole CD-s and whatnot doesn't sound very sane also...

Honestly, I don't think anyone would pirate scores, and even if there's a torrent, there would be probably no seeders.
This is very specific thing, people who can actually read & use & need scores would not resort to pirating and if they did, market is specific enough to track them down rather quickly.

I need a musician for my tower defense project.

Full thread and specifics here:

Since project is supposedly commercial, but I have no clue will it sell any copies at all, I cannot offer much, however, I'm open for discussion.

Nikolas offered his help, which would have been super of course, but cost seems way above what I can offer.

I doubt that Javascript will stick around much longer... considering how slow it is, it's showing its age.

For C#, mix it with NeoAxis Engine and its web player, and you have one helluva way to make something AAA-class. With NA, you can make a simple shooter with no coding whatsoever, and knowing any bit of C# makes you almighty.
It's free to non-commercial use, $95 for Indie License lets you sell anything that doesn't profit over $100 000, and commerical license comes at $395.

Not considering myself certified expert, but only mushroom I wouldn't eat is upper-left one on second image.
ALL others look perfectly edible and a good catch!

For poisonous mushrooms, 99% of cases have clear signs of being bad: slime (not always), that extra ring (or "collar") on mushroom foot, dots on cap (not always), and most of all, bad or bitter taste.

Don't eat what your tongue doesn't like, that's pretty much the first rule about anything growing in the forest.
