I've put the mask, leather and mackete toghether and dipped it in salt, but it doesn't work ("Either it's not working properly, or it's pointing straight downwards")

I am stuck at day 3 and I have tied the teddy bear to the stick and dipped it in salt and now it indicates that matthew lies in or under the kitchen. I'm totally lost here! What to do?

Forget it, i solved it and completed the game.

This is exactly how it works:

The cyclops will smell the sheeps breath to see which of them is Aaron. So all you need to do is to trick the cyclops so he thinks Aaron is a sheep and a sheep is Aaron.
