I set the goal for myself when I was creating Fatman that it should be at least an hour long. Even at that some reviewers still said it was on the short side of things. Generally though, I would imagine that to be a good judge of your game's length, it should take you about an hour as the game's creator to complete it.

I have always built my own computers and I run into these problems all the time. Here is what you do…

Turn on the computer. Does your Power Supply’s fan start up? If not then this is probably your problem. Does your motherboard have any LED indicators that it’s getting power? If no then you’ll have to assume that it’s getting power based on the PSU’s fan running. Turn off your computer and find your motherboard manual, find out which jumper you need to use to reset your CMOS. Sometimes a MOBO’s CMOS will get corrupted and resetting the CMOS might help. Now turn on your computer w/ the reset CMOS. Any luck? If you’ve still got nothing chances are your motherboard is dead.

This is actually good news because this item, while painful to change out is only about $100 (www.newegg.com) and it means that your files on your hard drive are all safe.

Awesome news, and welcome back Mr. Reed. Unfortunately I too would be most unreliable to do any artwork for you. I can’t even seem to finish my own sequels, har-har, but here is some quick versions of one of my all time favorite characters.

I found the tech demo ran superbly on my computer and I love the background graphics. However, I too have a problem with the 3d characters, but then I’ve never been a fan of 3d in any form, so to each his own. I find Misj’s versions very appealing to the eye.

At this exact moment in time no the game is not being sold. I’m going through a divorce at the moment and needless to say all the fun financial problems that go along with it. Just as soon as all that is sorted out you can be assured I’ll be back in business.

I agree, I think this is what we'll go with. The fat Fatman with long arms and the butt chin. :) BTW Morgan aka BrainofDOOM will be doing all the background artworks and animations.

Wow, thanks for the great response everyone! So everyone loves the left one then I guess eh? :) I thought the voting would be split down the middle. What does everyone think of Misj's edit with a sort of combination of images? Should I go with the chicken arms of the original or the superhero arms?

I'm about to start on Fatman's walking animations and I can't decide between these two incarnations of him.


I like the one on the left because he's so fat, but the one on the right has that superhero quality about him. Help me decide which one to use in the game. Which Fatman do you like better and why? Oh, and if you have any C&C on either of the two it would be much appreciated.

Perhaps I'm not one to comment as I'm 100 percent bias towards comic book movies. I've seen them and loved them all, well all except cat woman. Anyways, I thought this was the best spider man movie yet. When I heard how many villains they were going to cramp pack into this sequel I was nervous, but I think they pulled it off very well. Getting to see Peter's darker side was very interesting. The only part that felt forced was Harry helping spidey at the end.

I would suggest you map out your game like a storyboard. I know it helps me to visualize the backgrounds and cut scenes with thumbnails. Then as you progress you can take each room and branch off giving it its very own storyboard.

I have this in my game. It's also animated by changing the view property. This means you need a view for each individual inventory item.
