I'm Stuck on Monday; How do I get anywhere? Have no extra inventory.

Read This Thread.  The entire game is given away in there.

*Sigh* no one reads what I say... I feel so... useless...  :'( :'(

I didn't question the usefulness of the pods themselves, I was just thinking that if there is, say a reactor meltdown, you would hardly have time to fuel those damn things up, would you?

Except you meant that such a situation is highly suited for drama purpose (Got my irony detector turned off, so sorry if I misinterpreted you...

Look in the corresponding thread in the completed game announcements for thorough information...

Is there a puzzle at the first interactive screen or am I just too stupid to find it? :P

Ah yeah, now that everyone is making some deep thoughts about the sense of the game, I have one, too: What sense do escape pods make if you need
a) to fuel them up before launch
b) a keycard which only one person has to access them...

It's like having a "build-your-own-boat-in-just-two-days-kit" for emergency purposes on ships...

Hi,

the town is really great, but I do not like the large field of fog (or is it water?) you used to blend it with the background.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I guess you did that because you didn't like the look of the foreground landscape. If that is so, take a look at www.planetside.co.uk, there you find a tool called terragen which makes awesome landscapes that you can use in most 3d programs.
If you made the fog that way on purpose, I'd just suggest to make it less dense and increase the grain(?) size a lot (see that recurring pattern? That means the fractals are too small).

Don't kill me if I just suggested to re-render the whole video!  ;D

In the ending sequence: Did I just see a hand coming out of that coffin, just before fadeout?

My opinion about the game: Great, but 5days was better, IMO. The characters acted more believable there and the whole situation dramaturgy were thought out better. Anyway, the atmosphere was extremely creepy in both games, and the life-threatening scenes really made me jump sometimes...

Maybe the slowdown is caused by something else? Have you recently checked for spyware? Defragged your Hard disk? Got a lot of background processes running?
As far as my computer knowledge goes, high processor temperature should not interfere with the performance.
Besides, I think that processors only go critical above 70°... (not sure there)

And about the hint with the power box inside the case: The power box is among the components which produce most heat... So putting that thing inside the case won't help you too much, I guess...

Pirate Jack:  English is not my native language, but I think it's spelt "grammar..." and I don't think "critique" is a verb either...
(sorry, please don't take it personally, but I couldn't resist... ;D ;D)

Go see the movie "Apocalypse Now", that might be a good inspiration and will give you a good impression of war atmosphere...
Besides, there might even be some potential for an adventure game... (Similar to Indiana Jones)

And stop using M$ Internet Explorer! That's still the best method against Hijackers...
(And there's advice for all of you: Stop visiting porn-sites  ;D)

Try googling for "CWS Shredder", too. It's designed specially for that kind of Hijacker and may remove of the deeper roots of the problem, which the others can maybe not:

You should maybe go for a more gothic architecture like in old english or german cathedrals. Use less bright colors, maybe for the walls only bluish shades of gray or so... Maybe just google for cathedral images and trace?
Otherwise, the idea is cool and has something reminding of 'Gabriel Knight'...

Never mess with small trolls, they might bring their big brother!

3xsize:

The big troll comes either equipped with a spear (hunter: less dangerous) or with a big axe (warrior: extremly dangerous!).
Hunters are usually loners, while warriors travel in packs. It is not likely to meet one alone...

Hi, just stumbled over this post and dug out a small troll:
(Size x2)
Trolls like that usually live in dense northern forests and eat anything that is alive. They have a primitive culture and they can make axeblades and spearheads (their main weapons) from hammered copper. Usually they stalk the forests alone.

He's rendered, so I can easily animate him or draw him from different sides if needed (or make him look more evil).
If you wish to mention me for doing this one lousy monster  ;D, Isegrim is fine, thanks.
Cool idea, btw.

Glad that you like it!

I thought about the claws, I will maybe add some cracks or a bump that looks more like grown horn...

About the pentagram: It's there because it's cliché.
The Knevil is a pretty lonely guy, because the Knatholic Church has recently declared that even the worst sinner will find forgiveness in heaven. That's why he became a bit vain and obsessed with that gothic stuff like pentagrams and such, being bored and having only himself as company.
In the game you will have to rescue a dwarf miner who has delved too deep and is now held hostage by the Knevil who is glad having a companion...

Wow, now that I read that again, it sounds so idiotic that I like really it...

P.S. Fizz, if you like to meet the main character, Sir Knubblival:

Might be the monitor, but may also be the transformator unit (don't know the exact word in English).
If it is the latter, you should check if it's of the correct size (you said it's custom made?). Having lots of powerful components in your computer takes a lot of energy, which often makes the trafo unit go hot. Feel that one too, if it smells funny again...

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I give you... His infernal Majesty, the KNEVIL!!!

http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/Kneufel.jpg (might be a bit large, so I linked it)
What do you think?

For those who wonder why I always post static images and no walkies: I haven't yet found time to learn animating with bones, but I sure will  ;D
