I found the code below from another topic about the samething but this code doesn't work.

You should read that entire topic (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=17017.0). For one thing, you'll need to create a GUI for the countdown clock. There is code further down in that topic that will help display the countdown for you.

If a site was designed to work in IE only I'd rather know this before I reached the site :P

Any site that is designed to work in IE only is unprofessional.

That's my opinion, anyway.

You'd need to set a global variable that keeps track of whether or not the bad character is dead. Then, when the characters collide, you should check that variable in order to determine whether the player character should get a game over.

The link you provided has pop-ups and intrusive javascript.

For convenience:

Have you used the interaction command: "Player - Go to a different room (at specific co-ordinates)"?

Good scripting and good music, but as [ ... ] said, the "aha" "come on" and "yeah" is an insult to the actual intelligent and thought-provoking rap music that people seem to think doesn't exist.

But beyond that, I think the game should be made more difficult. I had to quit after winning the first round because the concept was so simple.Ã,  :-\ IMO the game would have been better if rather than just pressing a different combination of keys than the other guy, the player had to do a more challenging task. I can't think of what that task could be right now though.

I think that's pretty cool. (Though I'm not sure if this is the right forum for it.)

I updated it for version 2.7 on my server, since the text scripting information is completely different: http://www.jayssite.com/misc/agshtml/

Perhaps now people can link beginners directly to a relevant manual page to help them understand something more quickly.

Igreiga.org has a free hosting plan that should work well for you if you're still having problems.

Great game! I generally suck at adventure games, but this is the first time in a while that I've been able to get myself unstuck without looking at any hints! ;D

The images and archive files that you hosted on t-online.de are now broken links.

I was noticing that the other day. On the radio I had heard the lyrics "don't mess with my heart". My assumption is that someone decided that "phunk" sounded to much like "fuck," and so they censored it.
They didn't change the song's name here in America - they just censored some stuff for the radio (and probably TV).

What I don't understand is why removal of the General forum would be considered before considering switching plans or hosts. You're using WestHost (it looks like). They offer inexpensive VPS plans, have those been considered?
Also, Site5, which I find to be a very reliable host, just launched a new line of hosting packages that include RapidReflex - a technology that handles high CPU usage without causing any downtime.

General Discussion / Google X
Sat 26/03/2005 23:19:13
Just thought people might find this interesting ... On March 16 (I think), Google put up a project called "Google X" on Google Labs. It was basically Google with a Mac OS Dock-like toolbar. The bottom of the page read "Roses are red. Violets are blue. OS X rocks. Homage to you.".
Mysteriously, in less than twenty-four hours the page was down with a 404, and removed from Google Labs. Google won't say why.

Anyway, people took it from the Google cache and made mirrors. I made a modified mirror (http://googlex.jayssite.com/) that I hope someone finds useful.

So what do you think? Did Apple give Google a cease-and-desist?

I've tried Goldwave in the past to alter my voice, it didn't seem to be much help. Is there a feature I missed?

At first I wanted to do a paintover of your BG, but then I thought: Why should I spend more time on a paintover then you spent on the actual background? Did it take you more then 15 minutes? I doubt it.

That was pretty mean. Tanker's BG looks good, and I like the style.
Is that a lock on the door? Doesn't it need a doorknob too?
I agree with Neil's edit on the cupboard size.

I'd use rotate, for a clock I'd been thinking about.

I fixed lamp perspective (I think).
I also removed the bed's shadow from the wall completely. Because the end of the bed is right in the center, the vanishing point is nearly a straight line, so it's hard to make it look right. No shadow is less distracting, I think.
I removed some of the outlines and made others blend in better. I tried removing all outlines, but it looked like crap.
Lastly, the bedside table isn't against the bed so that the player can see the bed better, and I plan for the player to be able to get in it too, so I want it distanced so I can animate it better.
Besides, I don't think most people playing will really notice the distance. But if it does look bad I will try and figure something out.
