In the -MUSIC HERE- part of the intro-story thing are you ganna fill it with the beastie boys 'SaBoTaGe!!' could that'd be sweet.

Game sounds cool - looking forward to screenies or character sprites

Just a quikie....

How would I go about making several characters speak at the same time - where the dialog lines apear on the screen at once?
Also - how about having a character talk whilst you can just ignore him - so they're kinda in the background - like the bad comic in cirque de vale?

Thankus muchos.

Woo! Great sprie my man! I love it - much better than I could ever do
I think the side-looking eyes are cool - but will they look good looking forward? Otherwise she'll be looking side ways all the time....
But good work! :D

I think the first bent sprite looks spot on  :P

I think that's an excellent job!
If you compare the first screenshot to the last - it's a brilliant change - well done!
If you've got a good story to go with this it'll work great!
But yes - the bed needs a fold line.... ;D

Hey! well look at that! I can hide text - cool - sorry I'm a bit of a computer novice.
Spoiler
As I said - a couple of things. I think it's already been mentioned - but the dog turns in to the blue cup when he goes after the cat - and also where ever the dog is, he has several white pixels on his sprite. Is that island the exact same background as Mi2? I thought it would be some gag like - 'Hey - how did I get here with herman toothrot' or something - it looks exactly the same - I would have prefered a different island background

That's really great!  ;DThanks loads ;D - It works now.
BTW, I meant that if I was going to use a script comand like MyOpenDoor, or something, the script would not recognise that term would it?
How would I make it know what I meant?
But I got my little door puzzle working anyway thanks to you.
CHEERS!!  :D

Ok. I thought I had the problem nailed - but I didn't and then I just kinda forgot about untill I tried to run my game.
I have no good experience of script work and am not very good. In fact I'm terrible.

I can easily SET the global int in the dialog script - but where abouts do I put

if (GetGlobalInt(1) == 1) {
myOpenDoor();
}

Is it interaction with door --> run script?
Don't I somewhere have to state what exactly My Door is? ???

Sorry if this is some easy task - but I really am not good at scripting.... It'd be great if someone could tell me what I have to do here!!

The plot for 'Johnny's Odyssey' (the above screenshots) is as follows - in the intro you, Johnny Odd, (yes I took my user name from my own character) wake up in a small wooden dingy boat-type thing in the middle of the ocean. You think you had some crazy party but can't remember it. The 'part one' of the game that I have made is a flashback of yesterday. I have kinda got some ideas of what has happened and how you end up in the pacific in a boat - but very vague.
Ã,  Ã, I made this indy sprite - but don't like it too much - should I leave that idea if it's already being done? Probably - maybe after Johnny's Odyssey... who knows

Cool. Thanks a lot. That's really encouraged me - but I'm kind of already thinking of a new game!  :-\

I'm interested in making an indiana jones game - I love fate of atlantis and I'm the BIGGEST fan of the films - would anyone be interested in the idea?
#113
Yeah. Sorry. Looks pretty screwy - but they're both done on MSPaint - so they're not gonna look great anyway
#114
Hmmm... I didn't realise they'd be that small. Any ideas on how to make em bigger? I'm not too good at this stuff

I only downloaded ags about three weeks ago - I haven't done anything like this before... Basicaly, I was wondering if people could check out afew screenshots and say what they think of stuff like graphics and stuff.
Ã,  Ã, I'm a bit technologically challenged - but you should be able to click here for one screenshot and here for the other.. let me know what you think.
Ã,  Ã, The game's getting pretty big now - about 20 rooms - but I posted this as a kind of quality control - there's no point expanding further if it doesn't look good enough to make. If my links didn't work I'll fix em in a sec.,,,
Ã,  Cheers
