Hints & Tips / Re: Welcome to Dark Lake

I think this is in the wrong place, try writing the author a PM or write a message in the 'Completed games announcement's' page.

This has to be one of the best games I have played in a long while. The animations, backgrounds and walk cycles made me feel as if I was really there. And the story! Man I was in tears, I was laughing and I was shocked all at the same time.

Breathtaking stuff, and a memorable experience for me which I shall remember for the rest of my life. And something my grandchildren can hear about.

It's looking much better now, my onlyimprovement I can say is that the right shoulder seems not quite symetrical compared to the left.
Other than that it looks good!

Just finished, this is already a big favourite for the next AGS awards!

Brilliant stuff.

I think that you are right Timosity, as England don't have any fight in them any more. This may sound strange but I would really like Australia to bat first, like you said, for the entertainment factor.

I guess the only positive England can take from this ODI tour is that we have a player who has mastered the 'Sweep' shot  :)

I've been waiting sooooo long for this, downloading now!

Thanks for explaining that, it makes it a bit more clearer :)
I think it has some good features and it has some bad features, notably I like the shading and the hair, but the wall is hard to see properly, and as I said before it is hard to see the picture clearly.

I think I'd do so, as soon as I learn how to drawÃ,  ::)

In all of my games, I have used someone elses art (from the resource page, THANK YOU!) but I have put some of my art in as well. It seems terrible compared to the other BGs but I know personally that I have done it, and it makes me feel good inside  ;D

You should try and start like this and then gradually insert more and more of your own art.

I'm sorry but what is this meant to be, it looks like a woman against a brick wall, with a factory in the bottom left corner and a hand trying to grab the scarf. Oh and also she seems to be chewing a pen  :).

Could you please tell me what is meant to be, then I can comment and give my opinion on the picture.

Well, when I made my first game, it was very short and brief - could be done in 15 minutes. But it took me about a month to make as soon as I got AGS, but I learned a lot from the experience, and I am now making a game with over double the amount of rooms as the first in proberly the same amount of time. So I would advise that you make a short game in AGS to get to grips with the functions, then make a bigger game.

I've just seen that score and it is embarassing that we could lose when we bowled the Kiwi's out for 210, Freddie getting figures of 10-2-21-4.
But as you say it does make the Tri-series more interesting.

Haha, true aussie.

The good thing about one day cricket is that no team is invincible, one individual, on their day, can win a match for the team.

Australia Vs Bangledesh 2005...

I agree as any team can be the best on their day.

It's getting better, but as Tuomas said, the shadows are not alligned the same. I also think that there should be a part of the shadow, of the bottom left 'arm' of the cactus.

The Rumpus Room / Re: How did you find AGS?
Mon 22/01/2007 18:32:06
I found AGS while reading 'PC Gamer UK', and on one of it's disks it had 5DAS (which got me hooked) and I eventually found adventuregamestudio.co.uk  :)

Downloading now, I enjoyed Earl Bobby is looking for his Shoes, and I hope to enjoy this as it is much longer.
