A game I'd love to play, besides some of those you all mentioned, is "Buccaneer II" (by Hobbes).
However, I haven't see any news about it. Is it still in production?

A screenshot of the game:

MashPotato, it's an amazing game! I really enjoyed it a lot.

I'm anxious to play your next games! :D

I vote for Gameboy in all categories.

I loved this game! I'm sure it's one of the best done with AGS. The graphics, the dialogues and the music are amazing!

I also liked it very much because I was able to solve most part of the puzzles without a walkthrough ;D. It was really exciting.

Congratulations to the team! I hope you make more games like "Duty and Beyond" in the future!

Critics' Lounge / Re: A big apartment

Thank you very much for your replies! I was going to write before, but I couldn't.

I tried to make the changes you suggested. I don't know if I made them properly...

(320x200; VP: 247,51)

- The perspective of the little table was fixed.
- The lamps were changed (but I still don't like them...).
- The sofa and the chair are in a different color;
- The desk on the right is in different colors and with a few more details.

I'll continue trying to improve it!
I also intend to post other rooms of the apartment - although it will take some time. :D

Critics' Lounge / A big apartment
Mon 01/05/2006 21:01:40
After getting courage, I finally decided to post something in Critics Lounge.

This is the entrance hall of a big apartment:

(320x200; VP: 247,51)

What do you think?
How can I improve it?

(The GUI from FoA is just to complete the background. If I eventually make a game with it, I'll create a GUI too.)

C'est un jeu très intéressant!

I'm playing the French version and I'm enjoying it very much! The dialogues are excellent and funny, and the mélange of characters is really well done.
The only "complain" I have is that the font you used don't accept accents, so sometimes it's difficult (at least for me it is) to read some words - it took a time for me to realize that "ca" was "ça". :-[
This kind of game is nice also because every background I see reminds me the good time I had while playing those games, finding out characters and objects and solving puzzles.

Congratulations, Marion!

And the Golden Comic Strip Prize goes to...

... MashPotato!

I liked your comic very, very much! Your drawing skill is amazing and the story is very good! (I'll try to find the version you mentioned, because I really got interested in it.)

Congratulations! :D

(Sorry for the silver background of the trophy, but I couldn't add a transparency there... :-[)

Tomorrow is the last day of this competition and there's no entry until now.
What should I do? Give some more days?

Is the theme so uninteresting? :'(

What do you mean, Bluke? Two entries for the same myth, for example?

After thinking about a theme for the Comic Contest, I decided to choose this one:

Retelling a Myth
Myths are part of humanity history. Although their central story is generally preserved, there can exist many versions of them.
Let's take an example: the myth of Medea (my favorite). The most canonic (and famous) work about it is Euripides' play (431 b.C.). I'd also list three other very interesting plays on the same subject:

- Medea, by Seneca, 1st century a.C.
- Médée, by Pierre Corneille, 1635
- Médée, by Jean Anouilh, 1946

What I want for this contest is a comic (a tragedy, a comedy, a drama etc.) showing your version of a myth - whichever you want. A better known one would be nice, because everyone can identify it, but you can choose a local myth too - just give some information about it.
Ah, and you don't have to draw a comic with the whoooole myth! It can be just a resume or part of it.

Final date: April 14th.

Is everything clear? Any doubts, questions or suggestions, please tell me!

Thank you very much, Babar!

I'll open a new Comic Contest very soon!

(I had to change the server on which the file was, but the comic is still the same.)

Unofficial Tikal sequence:

Ok, I know it's lame... ;D

First of all, I have to say:
InCreator, your background is astonishing!!! :o

I think I understood what Farlander is trying to say: I notice (at least here, in Brazil) that cars can be parked in three ways:

Parallel to the street (0º)
Diagonal (45º)
Perpendicular (90º)

So, the cars in the background are parked in 45º. Aren't they?

It was also a suprise to me, ProgZmax! (Of course I know your talent, but, as Steve said, you disguised so well your style.)
"Dance Til' You Drop" is a wonderful game - I just loved it! I'm going to download it right now!

The game is very, very nice! I'm enjoying it very much and laughed a lot with the dialogues!

I have just a doubt:
Spoiler
How can I find the paper in a cup under the sand?

That's Jeanne d'Arc (1412-1431), heroine of France.

(Tiki, I loved the possum as a pirate's pet, instead of a parrot! :D)

Critics' Lounge / Re: Rubber tree

In Portuguese this kind of tree is called "seringueira". I looked for this word in Google Images and found some links:

I like your drawing, Mats, but I think you just have to change the leaves of your tree. Then it'll be even better! :)
