Sorry for Necroposting...

But I must say those are some beautiful backgrounds... and that face pic is very nice.  So I look forward to seeing this game when it is released

Well I've played some of the game but I got a question... and not sure if this is a bug or not but
Spoiler
When I use Telekinesis on the big rock on the screen with the fairy... it floats over and rests on the stump... then floats back to its original spot like spell is casted twice...

Is it supposed to do that?

I've actually been part of their boards for awhile.  But I never mentioned it cause they're using a Homebrew Engine called M.A.G.E.

Though it looks cool.

Not to sound like a Topic Nazi... but I was asking about stuff that

You played, hated, and were relieved that it never made it into Adventure games as a staple for the game.

Though I guess there may be few things like that.

I own eric the unready, (buya for me :)) andI don't think the timed things are bad at all. I think it gives you plenty of time to solve stuff. and it allows you unlimited savrd games so unless you have a phobia to saving games, it cant be that much of a problem. I never found it a problem( though I did get stuck once or twice though) It made it interesting to have to wait for events (spoiler:like lillys show ;D) btw did you ever get the 256 colours in hi res  working? if so pm me how. "less taste, more filling" if thats what you want, eat porridge ;)

I just got it from Abandonia, the version I'm playing... but see the problem was, I love saving so much... I saved AFTER the last Showing of the Juggling and well
Spoiler
I hadn't picked up the leech at anypoint for all three showings, and I used up my Waiting skills, see I forgot the rule about trying to pick up everything, and like I said, I was much to concerned with GETTING the marble that nothing else crossed my mind.

So it really was my bad, but they should make you be able to wait out till the next day

To Kinoko:

That could be interesting...

So, I was just recently playing Eric the Unready, and I managed to screw up on it... See it does the stupid Real Time stuff, with Time based events and in this case I waited to long and missed something important, and I can't wait anymore cause Sir Pectoral jumps out and kills me.  So for my list... it starts with.

Also, I'm sorry if there is a topic like this already.

-Real Time and Time Based events.

Now, if we're going by D&D novels the only ones I've read are the Forgotten Realms Books...
Infact, I'm re-reading the only book I've got for the "Avatar Series" Shadowdale.  Though I've not read many D&D books I personally liked City of Ravens  from the  "The Cities" Series of Standalone Novels... I think I've also got Temple Hill, Jewel of Turmish and I thought I had the 4th one released... but I could be wrong I need to skim back... though I did lose The City of Ravens, and Jewel of Turmish.

Edit
My bad, I've got the first three Missing the first and third.  Need to get ahold of The City of Splendor

Then why exactly did they even put their Sigil on the DVD... it says WoTC on the DVD case...

Oh right... the Fast play PDF on the DVD...  Though yeah... the movie was bad... but I still watch it repeatedly.

I still say Dungeons & Dragons 2: Wrath of the Dragon God... was WAY better then the Newline version.   But that is cause You don't expect extreme quality from Sci-Fi

You know, One thing people seem to forget  (if you look at the DVD case) They say WoTC Tried to stop the release of the movie BUT it is actually produced by them... or at least that is what it looked like... The movie DID suck, horribly, but so did the Star Wars movies released recently... (The CGI was just bad... but I LOVED JarJar so sue me) especially the third one... but that is off topic.  On the DVD of the D&D movie, they actually have a PDF for the plot that you can play as an adventure... WoTC decided it would hopefully bring it to more light and it did.
Anyways.   I also really liked the Sci-Fi D&D2 Movie... it may not have had the same atmosphere as the WoTC movie but it had a better story line.  Though I believe there was very little D&D refrences.

Wow, it seems to have not that many followers. I Must admit I do not like D&D 3.5 mainly cause I figured there really wasn't a point to it.   Much to my contention though since they completely stopped making 3.0 books in general I've been Dabbling in 3.5.   On a Side note I really Enjoyed Baldur's Gate and Dungeon Hack (still have the CD-ROM around here somewhere.)  I wouldn't say I'm an addict but that is cause most of the DMs I played with were Hack-n-slash-kill-to-level types that didn't put much thought into storyline.   That is changing finally.
Oh I should probably put here I've been playing D&D since I was 7 (though at that young age my parents and uncle watered it down of course.)   I think I've played D&D, AD&D, AD&D2e D&D 3e and D&D v3.5 (more like... 3.2/3.3 by mixing the systems up abit.)  Though I will admit I'm sure if I could find people I'd become a Shadowrun 3 or 4 Addict.

Completed Game Announcements / Re: Spooks!

I just beat this game Ivy and I have to say I loved it!   Did you really do the graphics all in MSpaint? I also thought the ending was awesome 'specially the bit after the credits.  I really can't wait to see more of your work.

Okay... so Now I've played a bit of the game... very impressed with the movies but I'm running into a problem I ran into on another game with a very fancy Custom Save  window thing...  Now maybe it is my system or maybe I'm doin soimething wrong... but I can't seem to overwrite my games I saved before hand.   I have to constantly make a new Save file... anyone else run into this problem in this game? Or am I some type of standout unlucky type?

EDIT:
Nevermind... I see someone else pointed it out.  but the rest of what I said goes... the game is looking great but I'm only in the first room.

Oh I got stuck there too

What you do is after you hear that sound look in the corner between the bigger  and smaller propane storage sheds.

Back to the game for me..

Edit below:
Okay I played through the game twice  First off, I wouldn't mind seeing a continuation... it is always an interesting thing to see how people interpet  Transgenderism (My word I made up just now I think).

Also ...
Spoiler
I noticed that if you take the Kahn Jr route and then go back to your place and sleep it still says "What happened with Joseph."  if you do redo this game you may one fix that up so that it says something different in Kahn's route.

Other then that though the game was really good... Though I do hope for more movement and such when/if you continue the series.

Quotebut I wonder if it was rightly put in the Cyberpunk Genre

Yeah, when I downloaded the game some time ago I did it only because of it's genre, and I was terribly dissapointed. I was expecting something like 1984- a dark, metallic, reppressive world. And I get a Tatooine-like golden city where the character and his companion won't stop telling bad jokes and trying to be funny.

There was a 1984 game? Or do you mean like the book?

The Rumpus Room / Re: How did you find AGS?
Tue 28/02/2006 13:39:08
Actually, I stumbled acrossed a mention of it on a Gamemaking Community forum (GamingW) when i was doin the RPG thing.... and I downloaded it and tried it, couldn't do stuff with AGS, so I just went on to DLing the games and playing em, cause I loved like King's Quest... though I've found games here that are plenty better then KQ.

Okay, now I shall comment, first off, if you get past the big breasts (She should think about reduction surgery, those things could break her back.) The game's graphics look really nice, I 'specially like the guy's Talkie picture, are you doing the talking similar to the way they do Flight of the Amazon Queen at some points in the game.  I hope you guys focus on the story as much as you have on the graphic of the woman, it would be depressing if the story was a let down.    Anyways I've said my piece, actually looking forward to it.
#57
Cool, I figured it seem to leave a hanging chad for an ending.   Though I hope they make it a little darker and grittier, I mean don't get me wrong I love the game, but I wonder if it was rightly put in the Cyberpunk Genre on Home of the Underdogs.

But yeah, that would be cool. I'll need to get a new computer to play it though

I dunno, it was a different horse all together but they merged Pixeled Characters very well with 3D enviroment in Xenogears, so if they can get the style right, it my work really well.

First of all, I must admit, the only QFG game I've played is the Parody one... Quest For Glory 4 and 1/2... though my first Actual Adventure game was Loom, then went on to KQ 5 and 6... then found the VGA Remakes of KQ 1 and 2...  BUt needless to say from what I'm reading here, QFG sounds to be the better game.  ANd I wish Serria would be back selling them or Release them into Public domain so that I can try them.

You have to look at either the base of the light, or the Light globe twice, it will mention something about a screw, and then you can use the screwdriver to remove it.
