Thank's!
I tried to take all your advices and make a paintover myself. It already looks much better, I think. I'm curious what your opinion on this paintover is.  :D

Hi dear Critics Lounge ;)

I need help on creating this female character for my game. I did alot of redrawings, but I'm not satisfied with the result at all.

She looks kinda dump lol. I would be thankfull for every kind of advice how to improve her (especially paintovers :))

thanks, kaio

I use the Wacom Bamboo. It's said to be a beginners-pad, but I'm 100 % happy with it. It's also one of the cheapest, I think.

Thanks :).
Uhhhm, maybe 7-8 hours, but I realy didn't count. I had a 4 week-break since the last time I worked on this, which makes counting the hours even more difficult.
This is my first photoshop-art at all, so there's nothing else to show you. But I'll certainly do some stuff in the future, since this is work for a whole poster of the fangame I'm working on.
Maybe I'll do somekind of tutorial later, when I know more excactly what I'm doing xD. But I got the "history" of the pic on my pc, since I worked with different layers in photoshop. If enyone would like to see it, I could upload something like this.

Phemar, your right! Thanks for the note, I'll fix it :). When animating I loose the sight of the whole thing and get stuck on little details. But I never realised that glitch before.  :P

Legs look nice. I'd change the shading on the arms and hands a bit so that when they are back they are more in a shadow. It's hard to tell how far forward and backward his arms are moving.

True, true. Maybe I'll add that on version 3 xD. And thanks to everyone, especially to Jakerpot  ;D.

He's limping a little bit, isn't he?

Well, if so it's not intended  :P. Thanks for the comments!

Critics' Lounge / Revised Indy Animation ;)

I don't get tired of putting my Indiana Jones Artwork here ;). I revised my Indy walkcycle completely. Here's the old one again:

and here's V 2.0:

I redid almost everything. Added shading to the pants, for example...
I would welcome every kind of critique or comments!

I liked the 1st version better. The skin-color of the new one is too much red for me. But maybe it's just my screen, messing with the colors.  :P

Maybe you should add some highlights on the torso and head, too.  Did you try that already? Anyway, good job.

Wow, looks very Monkey-Island 2-ish to me. Good job!

I think both look great. The first line picture looks best imho. Nothing to improve here.

Critics' Lounge / Newspaper Indy Sprite
Fri 20/02/2009 15:55:47
Hi all! I did a little Newspaper-Sprite for the news-section of the Secret of Pandora Indiana Jones page. I just wanted to get some constructive critism about it :).
Here it is:

Also check http://secretofpandora.org/pandora/index.php?cat=02&l=eng for the animated version (which I didn't post here, because it consists of 2 layers and I was to lazy to add both to one animation :P)

greetz, kaio
