No, I mean the entire post is an image, even the writing...

Yes but it didn't go too in-depth for me. It meant nothing to me infact. This is my first time at designing my own custom GUI so I found it quite difficult.

That's why I resorted to the online 'detailed' guide.

Why is your last post an image of the first post?  ???

Bloody hell, of course! lol

Thanks Pablo!

This is really all in the manual - if you're just coming back to AGS, try reading through it to re-familiarise yourself.

I did read through it but it doesn't really go in-depth enough to cover what I needed to do. The online guides were my best option but they too were out of date.

Anyhow, problem solved now!

That's good thanks.

But how do I call the new quit GUI after the user clicks on QUIT in the status bar? The Quit GUI is called QUITGUI (gQuitgui).

Thanks in advance!

Hi, I've read the Custom Quit GUI section here (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/actutgui1.htm) but this was written before the latest version of AGS so a lot of the functions are invalid or have been omitted.

I've designed the actual interface and new buttons - no problem here.

The problem is how do I code the YES NO buttons? i.e. when it says 'are you sure you want to quit? YES NO' how do I make it quit if you click on the YES button and how do I make it resume the game when I click on the NO button?

Yeah, this is my major quibble with it too.

Do you think that perhaps a 'real person' would look much better? i.e. use actual snapshots of a human and import them into the game?

Looks really good, Am I suppose to be able to get out of the first screen where he is with the car>?????

Yes you are. It's possible to get to the second screen and with the version I'm uploading now, you'll be able to look at the doll too.

Cheers Tim, I've updated the ZIP file and uploaded to savefile.com.

So has anybody actually previewed Stranded yet and if so do you think it captures the right atmosphere?

I could've swore I did that but it didn't work, that's what made me post on here! Anyhow, cheers mate!

I've searched through the manual and used the search function on here and still couldn't find anything on it, and I though it would have been a common question.

I'm designing my game in 640x480 resolution. No problem here. The problem is with my GUI. I'm customising the GUI to suit my own needs by importing new button graphics.

However, when I import them, the button graphics are at a lower resolution (looks to be 320x200 but not sure) - thus making them appear stretched and 'blocky' when I preview them in the game. The in-game backgrounds are all fine though.

Can anybody tell me how to import them or how to program the GUI to display the button graphics in a 640x480 resolution please?

As simple as it sounds though doesn't making sure you're recording in a quiet room NOT next to a whirring PC make a difference? The hum could be that as daft as it sounds.

You obviously haven't seen my Magnum .44MHz.

Get out. Seriously. Get out.

Heard one John Williams score you've heard 'em all.

Same can be said for Danny Elfman. I really think his music is horrendous with the exception of Batman. They're all the same in my opinion.

Full Throttle yes. Interesting choice.
#59
And if you can, record it at a high quality like 44MHz.

I think '1000's more' is highly over-rated ;)
