Dude for $6? Get it. As soon as I saw this I was all trying to find someone to loan me $6 cause I'm broke. Now I only want to upgrade to 12 to get the Android export cause that's expensive too.

Here's my opinion on the 3 games

Hendrix Island I really couldn't get interested in.
Spoiler
The key was a pixel hunt, I only realized it existed because of the screenshots of the game and seeing it in the inventory. Also I quit the game early because of the monkey puzzle, typing monkey phrases 5 times and being told I was wrong constantly only to check and see I had 1 letter wrong, and eventually couldn't figure it out. I didn't particularly like how the game was running like a large fetch quest and I gave up at that point.

The Jimi Hendrix Case I thought was interesting, but not without some small issues.
Spoiler
Mainly the dying in the fight scene and having to start all over again, and the bug with the badge in the fight scene. Still, I liked the concept of this game the most as well as the gameplay.

Leopold Kettle had a nice visual style. Like the above poster, the long wait for the text was a bit annoying.
Spoiler
I also found the sushi puzzle to be hard, because I thought of what I was supposed to do, tried it several times, and it didn't work, so until I got a hint saying I was right, I started to try other things.

When does voting usually end on these?

One minor bug:

Spoiler
During the first shooting scene and possibly others, using your police badge on the shooters allows you to freely move around the scene. Also I think the retry option would be best.

I've talked to everyone I could possibly talk to, I think, and I still haven't gotten my first inventory item. Help please?

Help, I'm stuck!
Spoiler
I have the fish scales.  I've been to the morgue to see the body.  Now what?

Spoiler
Examine the body better. Then he tells you if there's anything at the crime scene to show him. So show him the scales.

It seems like a nice game so far, I only wish that
Spoiler
there would have been some warning that you could die, so I would have known to save.

Interesting, if any competition would be there to make my first game, this would be it due to forced minimalistic requirements :P

Question about number of rooms, less than 8 rooms means up to 7 rooms, not including 8?

Hints & Tips / Re: Beyond Eternity episode 1

Spoiler
It says "The diagram looks like the puzzle cube." What diagram? I only see the paper with numbers. I couldn't get Andy to tell me where the puzzle cube was even with both characters present and tried all dialogue options possible between the 3 characters, so I skipped that and went straight to the library.

It also said there was a note attached to the cube but I never got that note, only on the trophy.

In case it isn't clear, I'm using the hints and don't know what diagram it's referring to - only the numbers.

What do the numbers mean on the note found on the trophy, having trouble and don't see a diagram anywhere.

Okay, so this game looks good so far. Especially seeing that it's your first. Nice work, if so, didn't see any others listed in your profile.

That being said, there are some bugs and annoyances that could be improved upon. I'm still not finished, but I can add more later if you plan on updating for these things.

Walk-behinds.

Spoiler
Certain areas such as the pool table and the open door in the kitchen are set as "walk-behind" so when you walk in front of them it is buggy.

Disappearing inventory.

Spoiler
So I'm not exactly sure what I did to cause this. I was messing around with my inventory in the kitchen with otto still inside when all of my inventory items disappeared. I tried saving and reloading, not sure if it loaded automatically to the girl character but it's how I figured out that I could. When I switched back my inventory was intact, but trying to leave the kitchen let the door still be closed, and if I opened it my character was stuck and couldn't move without re-entering and leaving the kitchen.

Follow me.

Spoiler
A particular annoyance is having the characters randomly stop following each other when going into random places, switching with each other, etc. It'd be more useful if the secondary character kept following until they decided to stop via dialogue. Also even after I said to follow, they would not follow each other into or out of the storage closet that required a key.

I'm not experienced with AGS scripting, but I do know programming in general. Possible explanations might be that Game.CharacterCount is more than 90 while you have initialized the array to be 90 (or whatever you initialized it to). Try creating a debug feature in your game to test this out (can't you just output the Game.CharacterCount as text somehow?)

It seems like this would have to be the case, unless AGS has problems with members of the array being uninitialized, but even if so, you wouldn't get an array out of bounds error from that.

Keep in mind that arrays are usually implemented as fixed-size, that is, the size you declared when it was initialized is set in stone and usually can't be extended directly.

Any tips on where to start with this game?

#457
It didn't work for me on Firefox or Chrome.
#458
It says the download started but actually didn't start.

Was intended to be like a "through a portal" type thing...what's the other side of the river thing you mentioned?

By the way, I became too busy to do anything with this :(
