Sure. You might want to edit your quotes to have [.hide] tags though so that people coming in don't see the ending.

A minor bug:

Spoiler
After you've found the secret room, if you try to go in the dark room with a candle before time expires and the gas is released, he uses the line "It's a good thing I've got this candle. I need to find the anti-gas pills." The interaction with the pills is as normal (it won't let you take them) though.

I just finished your game. I thought it was a good game. The end left me really frustrated and giving up on playing until I could get an answer on the hints, but I did manage to figure it out and completed the game. I liked the graphics, I liked the voice acting, The story was an interesting concept but I thought the ending could use some work. I'll go ahead and list a few things in the spoiler below:

Spoiler
-It is possible to finish the game without ever meeting Rebecca. If you never get the music box, the ending doesn't reflect it. The ending dialogue still mentions thinking about Rebecca and Moriarty talking about Rebecca.

-I think that this game is one where multiple endings could have played a factor. The "normal ending" where you put the ravens in the box and escape, and a "good ending" where you manage to find moriarty and actually beat him somewhat instead of just being a pawn in his little game. To me the ending was just a disappointment in that you just put the ravens in and leave and that's it. There should have been more.

-Minor control issue, when going "down" sometimes the character doesn't trigger to the next screen, making me move up and back down again. Same issue with some of the doors. There's a walk-behind possible in the right side of the balloon room. It's also possible to trigger somehow walking across the gap without the nuts. I do know that I walked out and back in at least once before that was possible though. Someone already reported that bug.

-Last, not sure how I feel about Rebecca. At first I thought that she might have just been an illusion too. But I am not so sure now after seeing the ending. When I think of this I think of Sherlock Holmes, and I believe that Holmes didn't believe much into the supernatural thing. I thought there would have been a trick behind it.

Anyways just some thoughts after playing the game. Like I said, good graphics and voice acting, concept was good. Look forward to seeing sequels.

I'm stuck.

Spoiler
I have 9 black ravens, I've solved everything I can think of to solve, unless the squirrel and mouse need something done to them but he doesn't want to interfere with them. I don't see door 11 anywhere, I don't see door 1 anywhere. I've played the music box in several rooms but maybe not every room. And a blue bottle of pills he won't take. And a radio that "doesn't get reception". I found the hidden raven in the balloon room after posting. Help?

Never mind.

I found the last raven. Pixel hunts are silly.

And the endings:

Spoiler
What about a third ending where if you choose that you didn't trust her, he ends up killing her, too? I thought that was going to happen so I played the ending a third time :P

But this was a good short game. I
Spoiler
didn't expect the ending actually, like someone else commented.

Spoiler
I'm having problems with not sure what to do next.

I got past the console and obtained the coin- but not the pants, and don't know what ball-like thing to add to the machine.

I have a small cloud and can't cross the large gap of air using that cloud.

I opened the large door to get the paper, but there is a button that won't move.

Other people mention a "witch" before even moving those 3 guys out of the way. But I see no witch anywhere.

Hints on what to do next would be appreciated.

A few bugs:

Spoiler
If you look at the urinal in the last section, he says it's an ATM.

If you click the ice on the bartender, talking to her still gives the option of giving her the ice again.

Even if you pay for the ice, the ending credits still show the "Hope he pays for the ice" line (First time I didn't pay but I saved it to see what would happen if I did :P)

Just played the demo. I love the concepts here, I think the graphics and such are amazing. I can only hope the entire game would be the same quality, it's impressive. I do have just a bit of criticism in that I'm using a laptop touchpad, and yes I know you have a keyboard control, but just if you had the thing less sensitive to moving outside of your square. It's annoying trying to "bend" something only to have it cancelled one circle before completion. Maybe only if it actually touches another circle should it register instead of moving out of the box in general..not sure how it's setup.

Wow, I thought this game had a fun and interesting style. Nice job.

QuoteI just can't manage to understand what is behind the dog cage ? If it is outdoor, I think you sould show us some sky.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. On the left side, there is the lower half of a white door (the door knob is near the top). On the right is a brown table with a lamp on top. The green is the wall behind it (lighter green is where the lamp has lit it). One of the things about these pencils is that it doesn't draw solid too well. Of course, I could spend more time than I have on the drawing, but well this is what I have as of now.

If I would draw the game in pencil, I'm not sure that I would want to leave the game as it looks in the original image. I kind of like my 2nd image (when it's smaller) but then as it zooms in it gets blurry and well I'm not really completely satisfied with it. If I drew all my backgrounds larger, I could add more detail to it and be able to scale it better, perhaps doing a 640 x 400 approach). But I dunno. Imagine the original colored pencil picture, with more detail added, along with a more finished second picture. Which style would be better for a game?

I'm pretty bad with graphics. Anyways, I was wondering how feasible it would be to draw backgrounds using colored pencil and convert/pixelize them using GIMP or something. Here was my first attempt. It's meant to be a dog cage from a dog's height and perspective (I drew it based on one in my house).

Original colored pencil drawing:

Then my attempts to make it more pixely/computer gamey:

I really drew this based off of a real dog cage inside my home. If I were to use this in a game, I would add pillows and stuff to the inside. (which I could draw later and put in separately). Anyways, is a graphic style like this bad? FYI: the colored pencils I am using to draw are the prismacolor premier set.

Another thing I drew was an apple but because I drew it so big it looks pretty decent when scaled down. I can't really count this as my own work, because I watched a guy on youtube do it and copied him, but I'd like to be to match around this level just drawing based on sight or what I want to draw.

I loved the way you did the voice for her and incorporated it into the game. It was a nice idea for an adventure game.

Beginners' Technical Questions / Re: Alt+tab
Wed 03/07/2013 20:18:29
Direct3d prevents me from alt+tab'ing out of the game at all. I try, but then the image from the game remains in full screen and I can't do anything else.

I guess I can try the driver thing. Remember the problem is only there if I try to tab out and come back. I just don't want to play games in a tiny window but I want to be able to switch out of them without quitting.

[Edit] It's not directx or drivers. Does it do it for anyone else?

This happened while playing the game "Gray". I just downloaded AGS and tried the demo game.

I believe Gray runs in 16 bits (the default setting) because it most closely resembles the problem.

I don't know where to post problems with playing AGS games, or suggestions... If this in the wrong section please feel free to move it.

When playing full screen AGS-games, alt+tabbing out of the game and then returning will distort the color. Is there any workaround to this besides playing in windowed mode?
