I think it's a good idea, atmosphere deserves its own category. We used to run 5 categories at some point in the past anyway

Concept: Mandle because Seussian art is cool.
Playability: Flugeldufel because it simply doesn't get more playable than this.
Artistic execution: That was a REALLY tough one but I decided to go for Blondbraid because of the lovely colours. Jack and Alan v.Drake were both close runner-ups.

Choices made, I must say I love every single entry in this edition and the variety of techniques.

I was in Las Palmas early this year! Lovely place. You could sit by the shore and stare at the waves for hours.

Concept: I'm going to go with VampireWombat here, the creepy atmosphere really stands out.
Playability: A tough call between lorenzo (TONS of potentially interactive objects) and Flugeldufel (an abundance of paths and exits of various sorts). I finally decided to go ahead with Flugeldufel, because the entry just screams a point and click game.
Artistic execution: cat. I just love the limited palette usage and the "soft" feeling of the image.

It was a really difficult choice this time in each and every category, again - fantastic job everyone.
I plan to close the voting phase some time after midnight CST today, so let's get some more votes in!

Also, I have added trophies to the original thread.

Thanks! I am, yes. Probably not in the nearest future, but I like the concept well enough to be confident I will want to revisit it at some point.

Fantastic game! Really enjoyable and very clever. The gameplay reminds me of those "alchemy" games that used to be popular on mobile platforms a while back. The graphics are consistent and pleasant to the eye, and I loved the witty dialogues (well, monologues). Great job.

It was obvious that it wasn't a full product and there was not much there in the puzzle department, but the dialogues were fun and honestly, the final scene with the demon was the moment I enjoyed the most - it was hilarious.

Escape Literature. A really impressive effort that does not feel rushed or unfinished in the slightest, and the concept is a winner in itself.

On a side note, I didn't manage to get my entry attempt anywhere near the state worth releasing (it's basically all graphics and no gameplay...  ) so I thought I'd at least leave a screenshot here as a minor contribution to this month's awesome theme.

I love the concept which resembles a book of horror short stories made point&click, and the artwork is stunning. Looking forward to this!
