How many people believe he really wrote that though? Do we know for sure? Seems a little immature, even for a crackpot. He IS a lawyer, and he doesn't use proper legal terms in that thing.

I'm rather amazed at the amount of people that manage to completely miss the point of this thread.

Real songs, people. Licensed! The Loom stuff counts but this isn't just your favourite game soundtrack in general.

I've changed mine anyway. It's Aerosmith's `Dream On` from the Dead or Alive Ultimate opening. Damn that song is beautiful.

Awesome! Someone tell Yahtzee I love him, because I can't be bothered.

Oh Vince, you crazy joker.

What, in your honest opinion, is the best use of a "real" song (you know what I mean. Not game music, an actual music track you'd find on some band's album) in a game? There are more and more examples of this sort of thing these days.

For me, its Nine Lives by Aerosmith in the Xbox game, Dead or Alive 2. That song is amazing and it's absolutely kick ass going along with such a kick ass game. I usually hate real music used in games because it seems lazy, and like it's just trying to get more doofuses to play the game by mentioning that Rob Zombie features in it.

I might also mention ALL the music in Giftpia, which comes from street bands in Tokyo, but noone's ever heard of the game so it wouldn't matter. Plus, that music -sounds- gamey.

Nine Lives though. Man. Aerosmith is perfect for that game.

(Yes, I'm well aware of how many threads I start lately. I can't help that I'm so good at making interesting conversation starters)

Wow guys, don't take me so literally. I was rounding for one thing. For another, you have no idea what size bag I mean.

I hate wasabi. I really, really do. I'm not wasting 100yen on chips flavoured with it. I'm sticking with good ol' potato flavoured :D

That meat pie and sauce chip was amazing in just how much it tasted like meat pie and sauce though. I remember they had two other flavours in that campaign... one was the particular flavour of cheese and... I can't remember the other, but they all tasted like very real flavours whether you liked them or not.

I never ventured to try the icecream spider fanta though.

I do't think any of the chip flavours I've seen in Japan are terribly weird. There's wasabi (I won't touch them) and nori/seaweed which is actually a rather nice mild taste. Haven't seen anything 'kookier' than those though and thay're not terribly interesting.

Thanks Vince!

You guys have never heard of beef flavour?? Wow. It used to be one of the classic flavours, like smokey bacon. I guess you never got that in America...

I heard this song at my school's sports day, and it has clips of the original Mario Bros. theme playing throughout mixed with a rap song. Japanese, of course. God, it was great but I have no idea who sings it or what it's called. It'd be a long shot if any of you knew it but so many people listen to J-pop and stuff these days, I'll give it a go.

I'm maybe a complete idiot, but what's the joke with salt and beef?

Hopefully Scorporius will come and save my day once again. Thanks for your help though Gil, it's always appreciated.

Oh, from the link in this thread? This thread is way old so the link has changed. You'll need to download it directly from the Games Page of AGS (it's in medium length games)

I totally missed this comment somehow (and never would have seen it had I not been searching for something just now).

What mag are you talking about. Cirque was included in a DVD?
#1060
Yep, I have it now too. Eureka!
