Messages - Kinoko

If you want to be really serious about it, you have to take into account that many different languages have many different words for emotions others don't. There's a crapload in Japanese alone that there are no English equivalents for.
#322
I don't really understand, but that made me think - confused?

Mind you, that's not really an emotion I guess.

Grundislav: Ouch, below the belt dude. Anyway, I think you meant "awesome" threads. Let's face it, I have a history of creating the threads that immediately jump to 10 pages and get people talking, as opposed to showing up at the forum and going, "Hmph, it's dead today" :)

Re: Daylight savings ... it's -way- easier to simply get used to the different light levels than it is to change the time of entire regions/countries, making everything to do with calculating time around the world more complicated. But hey, if you guys want it, you can have it. My problem is with the businesses on the Gold Coast trying to get it in Brisbane too ^_^

I wonder what they do all day. Talk about sport and women?

Wow, how cool! Tell him we feel honoured (because I speak for everybody).

That's a good idea, isn't it? Making games to help disabled people (or just that they can enjoy). Has anyone ever attempted a game for deaf people, I wonder? Well, I guess just about every single AGS game would be fine for deaf people. Or blind people? It could be keyboard controlled, or even mouse controlled but designed in a way that the voice samples help you figure out where the mouse needs to be. And it could be really cool and funny, not boring and patronising. Or... I don't know, what else?
#326
This whole thread is ridiculous because everyone knows daylight savings is a stupid thing in the first place. There are differences in light levels in different seasons - get over it, world.

How insane is that. I mean, they go to such lengths to make scientology known and have so many famous people join them, and yet don't want people doing meaningless things like taking photos of their buildings.

Off-topic I guess, but... you're not allowed to take photos of bridges? Certain bridges? I can't off-hand think of anything we're not allowed to take photos of in Australia, besides little children at the beach and women in dressing rooms.

Also OT, but a couple of years ago, I went home to visit my family and the subject of free masons came up, and my dad told me he used to belong to a free mason club. I couldn't believe it, he was the most normal dad in the universe and yet he was apart of some secretive club! I asked him to divulge the secret handshake but he said he couldn't remember and it wasn't ever a big deal, just a bunch of men drinking together and stuff.

Yeah, they got to him good. "Can't remember"... pff.

Anybody, who thinks childhood is a time of innocence, should read this thread. I hope Kinoko is happy with all the sickening responses he has gotten.

Of course! This thread was very successful. The point was to generate discussion and most people have stories like this they like to tell. I like to tell people about the few times I've gone to hospital and things like that. I don't consider the majority of these things "sickening" responses though. They're just interesting stories. "Oh my god, you're whole finger came off, dude??", "Noooo, just the top half!"

For the record, that wasn't my toe... just in case anyone thought that.

As for rotton.com, I don't go anywhere near that place since going there about 5 or 6 years ago and seeing the worst picture I've ever seen. I'm over it now but there was a long period there where it really bothered me. I don't even want to mention what it was.

Mr Hyde: WOOHOO! :D I'm happy for ya!

Alexander's too busy training to kick buloght's arse for meanial things like porn ^_-

Congrats buloght!! I told you the sword was good!

I'm sad mordalles' entry didn't count though :( It was so good, I don't understand why it wasn't an entry.

Some photos I took today of the sakura (cherry blossoms) that have bloomed in my town ^_^ For those that don't know, sakura bloom for about a week or so once a year and sweep the country. Everyone goes nuts during this time, and I intend to do the same. Have a "getting drunk under the sakura" party/picnic this Saturday, then it's off to Kyoto for more sakura fun amongst traditional Japanese... stuff. Hopefully, more getting drunk too.

What a cool diagram!

Big appendages, you say? (Damn, why didn't I go on that trip to Okinanawa! Curses)

My god though, that sounds terrible. I don't even remember I have one. The idea that my uvula might make itself known to me by almost choking me to death is freaky.
#333
Oooh, that thing. Why were you having it removed? Snoring problem?
#334
Did you end up winning her heart?
#335
Vince - you win. Holy hell, that sounds awful!

What's an uvula?

Mr Hyde: Good on you for having the sense to photograph it ^_^ When you say you stuck your foot under the lawnmower, do you mean on purpose?
#336
*sigh*

So let me get this straight. You guys are seriously comparing a picture of a gross toe with pictures of hideous corpses and the like?

If you don't like my thread, go start your own about rainbows and teddy bears.

Helm - grow up.
#337
*snuggle* for GeoffKahn too, then. Sounds like a terrible ordeal you went through with the bleeding fingers -_- (kinda cool though)

Grundislav: You answered the question yourself. Morbid curiosity. Plus someone I know recently lost a toenail. See, one man's pain is another woman's entertainment. I'm at work all day with no work to do. There's only so much study I can do in that time before I need threads like this to entertain me.
#338
While this is entertaining on a certain level and all, this thread has now had 16+ replies and only one person has sortof answered my question.

I had ringworm once. It was on my neck and everyone thought it was a hickie. That was, until it took over my entire shoulder, with a diameter of about 5 inches.

I had it all over my arms. I think I had to take some pills or something. Can't remember, it was when I was a kid.

Tapeworm? My god no @_@ THAT would drive me nuts.

Should I be typing in caps? I don't think I got that memo.
