When it comes to teens, I think you're right. There are some that are less mature than they should be, and some that look and act more mature than they should be, but it comes down to life experience in the end and there's no way you can hurry that up.

Sorry to bring this topic up again but... Las Naranjas, what? o_O Translation please.

Given that it's a MySpaced up picture, it's hard to tell, but she does appear to be somewhat hot. Good for you.

I don't know a thing about you so don't take this the wrong way, but I have to agree that this probably will end up hurting you, and I also wonder about her motives.

Nothing about you, but I just know that when I was 18, going out with a 15 year old boy was just an INSANE thing to do. Girls that age might go down one year if the guy is really mature looking, but to go down so many years... a guy might do it to a girl, but it really in strange to see it the other way around.

So yes, I think you are a lucky bastard for the moment. I recommend you do some dirty things with her quickly (experience points count!) and then break up with her. Not meanly, just... tell her you've decided the age gap is too difficult to handle and you want to save further heartbreak for the both of you later.

(This is coming from someone who met her 8 years senior fiance at the age of 14. As hypocritical as it sounds, I stand by my advice.)

There's a test? I don't remember a test.

If it wasn't too cold and I had a body like hers, I'd kinda want to walk around wearing a tiny nurses uniform too.

Oh, damn! lo_res_man, you got the 300th post >_< My record is soiled! *sigh* If I hadn't been so careless as to sleep last night...

TIS: If your opinions still stand, then they still stand. You can't pretend to feel a way that you don't. I know you probably didn't mean it in this way, but I think it's nice not the have the stance that you won't change them though.

Also, it's probably true that noone has given you a reasonable justification for it. Probably because there isn't one, I don't know. People like them. It's probably difficult to understand that when you don't. I don't like ... (gimme a minute)...Ã,  (thinking...) ... aha! I don't like G-strings myself, but I understand that people do. I don't think they're being adolesent, I just think they happen to like them. They aren't trying to, they just do. So I can't have a problem with that, they aren't doing it on purpose. And it's not like it's wrong, it's just something I don't appreciate myself (in fact, I think they look awful).

Who knows though, maybe next week I'll suddenly like them! I used to hate pumpkin and mushrooms when I was a kid and now they're my favourite foods. That said, I've always hated licorice and I still do. That may change, it might not.

I understand disliking understanding for the sake of understanding, but I think it can be for the sake of peace too (not... world peace as such). I've found that as I've gotten older, things I used to hate and find wrong with the world, I can now accept as a part of it and I'm much happier and tolerant of other people for it. I used to have an idea in my head of a kind of "Utopia" but not anymore. I really only have broad ideas about an ideal way of living as far as things like the Environment are concerned. And they're very, very broad.

Great sprite!

Do you want her to be actually Japanese or just anime-style "Japanese"?

If the former, make her eyes black, and her hair black (otherwise the school would probably dye it and she's get in trouble... unless she's at a foreign school but then she'd probably not be wearing a sailor uniform). Also, she should be carrying her mobile in one hand (with at least 50 straps on it, Mickey Mouse and Pooh) and a colourful face towel in the other, which she uses to cover her mouth with 50% of the time. (You got the bowed legs just right!)

Otherwise, it's great ^_^ I actually like the simply shading you've used.

If you want to soften the face a bit, darken her eyes a tad and give her more "black" area... not a one-pixel sized pupil. I would also make her face shape less angular and bring the "cheeks" down a little lower. The lips are nice... does she need eyebrows?

If you want to make her a little cuter, replace the seperate nostrils with just a little line indicating where the tip of the nose is. Also, give her a bit of black around the top of her eyes to give the appearance of eyelashes.

Quote from: buloght on Sat 04/03/2006 19:53:10Realtime: Like Secret of Mana and any action game. Ask Kinoko hehe.

All I can say on the subject is that it's -hard- to get things tweaked the way you want.

Quote- Also i had to write extreme amounts of lines of code for having a keyboard GUI system (which makes me think i did it wrong) but something like this is useful since most RPG (snes anyway) don't have mouse at all.

I've done similar things and yes, I was shocked at how much code it took to get it right. I was also wondering if there was a way to shorten it, and admittedly, I keep going over my old code and I do find ways to, usually, significantly cut down on it. I did it recently for my inventory GUI code. I find inventory is a hard one to reduce the code with, because there are so many specific properties necessary for each item that I can't use maths or increments for. Just gotta write 'em all out.

Not trying to drag him into this again, but I agree with LimpingFish. I don't care if people don't like the game, and we're all free to give our opinions. I just get angry when people say a game -should- be a certain way, or when people make value judgements on the creators for drawing a pair of boobs, or anyone else for that matter (which is why I got fired up over your post, Andail, because I could very well be considered one of the people doing that whole "creating the image of the ideal woman" thing).

Let's not fight over whether we have a right to give opinions or opinions on opinions or not...

My personal opinion is that people should try to be more understanding of things like this. Just because you don't like it, that doesn't make it wrong. There are many ways to live in this world. I'm learning this more and more everyday.

Mordalles: Noone's ever gonna let you forget that thread, I think ^_^

Hang on, you people never played Not Pron? That's when I discovered the dragon (puzzle number 25 was it? Piece of confusing shit). Immediately made my own and some for friends. Really cool :)

I feel sad now, just remembering ... stuff :( Even being apart of an adventure game community doesn't really make me think of those old games much, but reading that, I can actually remember what experiencing all those games for the first time was like.

Nice edit!  Hmmm, I might consider a texture. I shall think of some ideas throughout the day and try them later (Why do I always check this thread at work?)

The Discard label is on top because you can access it by pressing 'down' from the bottom row of the items. I think it'd be less intuitive to have it further away, and 'jump over' another label to get there. I see what you're saying though, but I prefer to have it this way.

...and yeah, the wings are supposed to have that 'wrap around' look ^_^ They're not so much meant to be realistic wings as they're meant to be 'made up but nice looking' wings.

*looks down*

Look, my breasts aren't that much smaller than those ones (admittedly, not as shapely and perky), and I have a friend that's -several- cup sizes bigger than me. She's pretty stacked so I reckon she'd actually beat that woman. Now, if she got herself a really good bra and smooshed them upwards, she'd beat the pants off that nurse (AND she's cute). If she were naked, and her boobs were that perky, I'd say , "Sure, that's unlikely to happen" but she could well have amazing support under that nurses outfit, and have had implants. It's not unrealistic, it's just fantastically uncommon.

Heh, I remember watching this live on TV years ago. I do not have love for Tripod  ::) I find I listen to them for 20 minutes and get 2 or 3 laughs out of it. They go on for way too long.

That particular one's pretty funny but that's as good as they ever get.
