Is lo_res_man being sarcastic, or does he really laugh by saying "hoot"? Are you an owl, lo_res_man? o_o

I can't tell.

Was just about to post that...

Most of the famous time attacks were done like that. I was disappointed when I first learned about but, but heck, it's still cool to watch.

I didn't think this thread could get any preachier but that new guy, whoever he/she is, has done the impossible.

I'm rather with Nik on this one :) Condoms make sex less fun, and we all know it.

But yeah, kids, use them!!

Your story is rather ridiculous, I could point holes in it til Tuesday (wait, it is Tuesday...). But I won't. I think anyone who reads it will see how ridiculous it is for themselves.

I'll say a couple of things anyway; condoms are not 100% infallible, neither is any birth control save for getting your uterus removed. Even abstinance isn't 100% because people get raped sometimes. The point is, there will never be a world where everyone's happy families with a perfectly heterosexual mother and father.

Neither will there ever be a world where people only have sex within their marriage. The main reason being that sex is one of greatest things on this earth, and people are not gonna stop doing it. Ever. Not for babies either, but for fun. It's fun, fun fun. Fun!

However, marriage is not the holy bond is was for religious types a hundred years ago (and some people today). More and more people today don't place that great emphasis on marriage. We're recognising more and more that a relationship with a person is more important that a piece of paper and a piece of jewellery. For MANY people in this world, marriage is just that; a legality. For some people it's more, but it's completely up to the individuals in question the importance they place on marriage. Many couples never get married but still live a beautiful and happy life together.

I think it's ridiculous to place any kind of value judgement on someone that revolves around whether they're married or not (or heterosexual or not).

Wow, awesome! :D

I'm jealous :/ Noone hounds me about anything. Well, besides making lesson plans and tests for the 3rd years but that's work, it's not important.

Not an original idea?? o_o That's one of the most original ideas ever. Or weirdest, anyway. Can't say I really like it all that much, but I dare say that's because saying I was a fan of KotH would be an understatement, and I'm a purist when it comes to these sorts of things.

I sure hope you don't kill off Hank.

After that description, I can't help wondering if you have one, big brother ^_^

Hehe, ^_^ um... problem solved!
#649
Is that possible? With the DS, I mean? I'd -love- to make my own DS game.

Having her write it down is a good idea... ! Don't give her a hard time about it though ^_^ It's all harmless fun.
#651
I was exactly the same. Didn't see your profile until you wrote "I am a famous actor" etc.

Spot on, though! For shame, people ^_^ Privacy is damn important.

Terran, people aren't trying to be bastards or make fun of you (well, most, I think, aren't), that sort of thing would give me the same reaction!

I'm a realist too, and a skeptic through and through, but I've had lots of experiences which have made me question things. The thing is, if I imagine myself watching some TV show on angels or ghosts, and listening to someone else say what I experienced, I realise that there is no real evidence something 'strange' happened, and that there are logical explanations, even if it comes down to a real coincidence.

Honestly, she could have been pretending... it's just a fact. IT doesn't matter how well you know a person, you don't know everything about them. Girls in particular are very good at showing you most parts of themselves and keeping some parts completely hidden, even subconciously. Sometimes we pretend to lose at video games :/ Sad, but true. Sometimes, I even pretend to be stupider than I am, or surprised at something my fiance says. I can tell you, I'm damn, DAMN good at it. It's an art. Of course he might read this :P but that's okay, I'm sure he does it to me too. We're all deeper than we appear, really.

As I was saying in the other thread, we both finish each others sentences a lot, and I know exactly what he's thinking sometimes, even when it's completely off topic or weird. It's just a result of being so in tune with a person... it used to happen with my best friends in high school too.

Again, I'm not saying this is what happened to you, but it's a possibility that she was, either conciously or subconciously, making it up. Honestly, if it were me, I'd know to make one of the answers slightly off, and another completely wrong to make it believable. IF that's what happened.

Girls are good, dude. Real good ^_-

EDIT: And yes, I agree with Eric's post. Do that, and I'll be impressed!

I came on this morning, saw this topic and thought, "How on earth did it get to 3 pages already? It was moving so slowly yesterday".

Ah.

Like CJ said, if you don't like the subject of the thread and just want to attack the poster, don't post on it. I was rather bored with it yesterday but now that I know what it's about, it's interesting  ;D (Not in... that way... I just mean it's fun to read).

I think this is your answer right here though, if you were wondering about people's reactions to your lifestyle. Mixed, so you still have to be careful in unknown circles.

My own two cents on the subject, since it's been raised... heck, I wish kids weren't so innocent! One of my students asked me on Friday, "What does 'turn me on' mean?" and I was so embarrased to try and explain it to him. He's gonna be 18 next year so there should have been no reason for it. If kids weren't so silly about sex, it wouldn't have been so difficult for me. I'd rather we made efforts to make them maure about the topic, rather than keep them innocent... the only -reasonable- reason I can think of for keeping kids innocent is because keeping them at home watching TV all night would make it more fun for the rest of us when we wanna go out. No annoying teenagers out ^_^

The day I can say 'fuck' around a kid without fear of some angry mother getting narky at me... well, I guess it's already come because they don't have a concept of swearing in Japan (and if I say "fuck" in English, they usually don't understand anyway). Although I wish the language had stronger words for expressing anger, I admire that they don't just taboo certain words. It's so senseless...

I think the stuff Rharpse mentioned happens with any couple that's been together awhile, or just have similar personalities/brain functions. When I watch a TV show with my sig. other, we always, always think of the same people or jokes when we see something. What often happens is we'll have both seen a tv show or an ad or something hundreds of times, and then both at the same time, will notice something we never saw before without mentioning it to each other until after.

But... I don't think it's weird :) It makes a lot of sense.

Damn, I thought I was gonna get some kind of icecream out of this...

As a walk cycle, that's not too bad!

I despise MSN, and I've always used ICQ. Always.

I use a very old version of ICQ. I always keep the install file handy so I can keep using this old version, before ICQwent shit.

So do these new TOS apply to me?

I agree that it's not the fairest sorting system, but I can't honestly think of a better one. At least sorting by alphabetical order does give you the chance to find the game you're looking for quickly.

I do't know how many people do it this way, but when I'm searching for a game at random, I always tend to click on a letter around the middle of the alphabet, so I rarely start at 'A'.

I know it's been said many a time before, but I really would like to see the Pick of the Month revived. It's a shame that it's become a joke... can't we find someone willing to dedicate their time to choosing one and doing a little write up every month? I don't blame anyone for being too busy for it, but surely someone out there must want the job?*

* I don't.

'Sexy' is objective but I would argue that overweight is, for the most part, not. I think you'll find 99% of people would be nothing less than weirded out by you calling that girl 'overweight'.

...and like Victor said, just because there are people smaller than that, doesn't mean the bigger ones are overweight. Overweight means you have more weight than is generally thought healthy for your height, etc.

Thanks ^_^

Is there some way I can get the current screen coordinates of a character? It'd be handy if I could use this with CreateOverlay
