General Discussion / Re: 1337!!

Seriously, noone's as bad as me lately. My daily rate is ONLY low because I sometimes go away completely for periods of time, but lately... my daily post count'd be like 10 a day.

I could be wrong but isn't that the font from the MI2 template?

People want to make games in outdated graphics for the same reason that I came to AGS in the first place - I grew up with them, I want to make my own like it.

I think this game pulls off the style VERY well, I'm impressed. But yeah... not sure I'm really into the teletubbies invading Middle Earth, but whatever.

Rozenrot was it.

I'm beyond 1337, I'm afraid. In fact, I'm almost double 1337!

My fiance likes them. I think they're okay but haven't heard enough to be nuts about them. Bit too low toned and shouty for me, really :) There was one song he showed me which was really good. Started with R, I think, but I can't remember.

It'd be nice if I were unemployed again. I seem to wish that more and more everyday. Unfortunately, work just zaps 99% of my time. I always used to wonder why people took so long to make games. Heck, I did Cirque in 3 months!

Now I understand the bitter truth. Work = precious little free time that you usually want to spend sleeping

Oh man, that sucks. Especially since I've been character for two straight days on the AGs banner. His image is burnt into my memory! o_o I'd say you're obligated to at least use that sprite now.

Honestly, your art's pretty good as it is. You can always ask someone to help you with music seeing as there are SO many musically-minded people on these forums. If you really want to tweak your art a bit, I suggest plopping a few BGs in the Critic's Lounge. I really like the style of your art, it could do with a bit of a change here and there just to give it that polished look.

God, I haven't even hung out my washing from October last year or picked up my cat from the vet (I wonder how old she is now...) and you're here producing a different beta release with each new rise and fall of the sun!

That's quite simply a fantastic idea!

I imagine, say, a vase. If you apply good karma, the flowers inside grow and flourish, if you apply bad karma - perhaps the vase breaks or the flowers die.

You can do SO much with this concept! Can't wait to see more :D

Adventure Related Talk & Chat / Re: RPG's
Tue 17/01/2006 02:28:40
Since noone answered this, I'll give it a go.

There really aren't that many in the way of RPGs created with AGS. A few are in production now but there aren't so many in actual existance that I could narrow down a recommendation. If something says it's an RPG, I say just get it and give it a go.

Someone did one worth mentioning but for the life of me, I can't remember the name off-hand. Was excellent though, set in some snowy mountains. Starts with a C.

It's always hard to tell when an adventure game ends and an RPG starts, though. It had elements of both so I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for.

I'll swap you some fine Australian beer for the grog and beermats. Take it or leave it. Fine, I'll throw it a small used ham too.

Four-assed monkeys ^_^ He'd view two-asses as a failure, I think.

What, you didn't see us do that already?

Don't let's fight about this :) It's just funny is all!

Wah, no way man! ^_^ I'm TOTALLY into -your- game. That banner alone makes me think it looks like one of the most promising things I've ever seen here.

I was all like, "What the hell is a SCART" plug. Then I looked at the picture. "Oh. THOSE."

Yes, I agree.

QuoteI noticed when I was typing a function (using it, not creating it), and the "auto-complete" box came up, if I then scrolled up and down the page, the box stayed there, hovering over all the other text.

Hehe yeah, the autocomplete box works ok, but the function calltip just hovers if you scroll the window. I quite like this "feature" actually, I think I'll leave it :)

Heh, I feel stupid for pointing it out ^_^; Like I said, it only surprised me because I'd never noticed it before, but there's certainly nothing wrong with it and it could definitely be useful.

"Master Chris" is THE team. :)

He should make that his signature or something. Only I'd say, Master Chris is the TEAM!. Then I'd go around telling everyone how I was "so the TEAM".

But that's me.
