I'll leave it that then :P Thanks!

(sorry for the late reply)

Okay, I decided to get back to this issue and clean the mod up, which I've done somewhat. Thanks for all your help, strazer!

I still have very little idea of what I'm doing with mods but here's v1.1: http://kinoko.futariba.com/misc/FadeName.scm

The biggest problem is that I still don't know exactly what I should physically change all the "gTownName" instances to. I don't have any experience with structs or anything so I don't know what code is right. I've left the mod editable this time so you can easily see the script.

I haven't written a readme yet but I changed the view number to FNVIEW and the object number to FNBORDER so it will be documented to create a view/object with those names. I also added the int animdelay so the user can change the animation delay time themselves. The view loop will just be 0, so I'll document that too.

I think the face of your latest sprite is just too round. RDA has a rather ... well, not a thin face at all but well defined cheek bones so I suggest making the sides of his head straighter. Try to get that light/dark contrast in the hair too. Your sprites hair looks curly, too, which isn't the right look.

It sounds hideously convoluted, to be honest. Also, I just don't think it'd be funny... it would take a remarkedly funny person to be able to pull it off, I think, and they're rare.

He's actually rather cute too (so many babies are blech ugly ^_^).

What a lovely politically wrong thing to say!

Hey, it's the truth :P Babies grow to be cute but usually aren't when they're just born.

Congrats! He's actually rather cute too (so many babies are blech ugly ^_^).

I must say, Nik, you're one of those people that gives me hope for this world with the caring you show for your family.

Well, if I were -really- talking about my life that'd be in there, at around age 14.

My very first impression was that it was a zombie. The pose is the main problem.

Weird Al strums my pain with his fingers and sings my life with his words, in this order:

The Saga Begins
Free Delivery
Baby Got Jack
Another one rides the bus
Gee, I'm a nerd
Couch potato
Eat It
I love rocky road
Addicted to spuds
Fat
Grapefruit Diet
Make my boobies one more size
Hooker on the corner
Hello, I love you let's get tested for AIDS
Calling in sick today
Oops, I'm pregnant again
Fatter
You don't love me anymore
Baby likes burping
Since you've been gone
I remember Larry
My baby's in love with Eddy Veder

I predict for the future:

Living with a hernia
Party at the leper colony
I'll be mellow when I'm dead

Rui: Typically just makes them a little excited. I gave it to my cat Marley once and it just seemed that she got a little more active, played more ferverishly (?) and sniffed the toy it was on a lot, but wore off pretty quickly.

And, can you have a fiance and not be engaged?

I'm fairly sure the answer is no ^_^

I'd recommend you get it taken care of ASAP. Otherwise it -could- be a bigger problem. The biggest problem with my fiance was that it was looked at too late, and so the polyps grew like buggery and now he may never be able to get rid of them completely. If you only have one, or a small amount, get rid of them as quickly as possible and you may save yourself a lot of pain and annoyance.

shbaz: My fiance actually had a BIG problem with polyps in his nasal cavity, which stopped him from smelling/tasting properly for -years- before we finally got it checked out by a specialist. It's actually somewhat common, he had to go to hospital and have surgery to remove them. Once he recovered, the difference was amazing. He occasionally gets a little bit of regrowth so he just goes back to the guy who pulls it out (with a local anaesetic) on the spot and he's good to go for another 6 months or so. I hope one day they stop coming back altogether but for the benefit he gets from it, a trip back to the specialist every now and again isnt so bad.

'Course, yours may not be -that- serious, but you did ask :)
