Adventure Related Talk & Chat / Re: Tintin

Well as I remember there were a few games about Tintin for SNES. I did play one of those on an emulator on my PC - but that was a long time ago....
Here's some info:

I'm sure you can just use a dog's rear legs as reference.

EDIT: Ohh, and a satyr's walkcycle would resemble a normal man walking on his toes.

My poor entry. I might do something else later.

EDIT: I said I'd do something else...

Here is Jimmy Broganwax, an ex sport legend. As you may see he has a small drinking problem.Ã,  ::)

Critics' Lounge / Re: New style for Background

I do love how the image progressed. It's much better than the original picture you showed a long time ago.

Now for the critic:
- The perspective looks good to me and I don't see any problem with it exept the roof top. The far top end looks just a little bit high compaired to the closer one. It's a minor thing though.
- The small island picture looks out of place.
- A door would be good. The background makes more sence if the shack's door can be seen.
-There are a few white pixels here and there near the lines.

Other than that... pretty good background.  ;)

General Discussion / Re: I(vy) do comics too

i am hugely confused.

It's simple. The angry Big Guy wants the shoe and the Little Scared Kid gives it to him. So Big Guy is happy - He loves. It's like a mirror of the society. People who have power (political, economic, religious, etc.) take what they want from the little - powerless - people. It's a really philosophical comic strip. And the autor does take english classes.  :o

Enough offtopic.. Ivy I really liked the comics you did. They are funny. Keep up the good work.

Awesome picture & Great characters... I can only critic the cloud. The edge looks messy. And maybe the tall pig's leg is abit wonky.

Quote from: Evil on Wed 12/04/2006 21:24:47
The only thing I notice is that the tallest pig has a odd nose. They looked like his eyes at first.

That can be arainged quite easy... Just animate  him. No one picks his eyes.  ;D

GG pretty much said all there is to be said. The only thing I don't like is the sun border. I'ts too red and that seems abit... wrong compared with the sky? I don't know, maybe make it less red and bit brither on the edge.
Oh, and: Awesome work! :o

pink elephant
moose head
a silver trophy shaped like a fish.

So whats wrong with us not releasing any games ;)

We like to make good games, I guess. Everyone can make yodagame in a day or so... We want the games to be good so we could be proud of them and so other people would enjoy them.
Rushig a creative prossess rarely gives the desired effect. Sure you'll have a game... but what about the quallity?
And by the way, another reason is becouse some of us are lasy too.Ã,  ::)

I never believed in aliens, devils, gods and Santa Claus. And I've never seen a proof i'm wrong. It's all a bunch of lies and simple mistakes. The only thing I'd say was paranormal in my life was when I wake up in the middle in the night - the same time my brother had a car accident. I didn't have a clue about it but I couldn't sleep for hours. Maybe it was just a coincidence.

Oh and thinking bout wierd - I remember one night in my grandma's guest room in her old silent house. I got under the blanket and fell asleep... the morning I woke and under me the bed was like I never even used it. The blanket under me and the sheets perfectly folded aside...  The wierd part is same thing happened to my dad long time ago in the same room.  :o

Don't know... Maybe I was sleepwalking or something. Or maybe something fixes the bed and takes care of the room from time to time waiting for my great great grandfather to return from the war. Who knows. :-\

I'm not home now so I can't really do any real progress with the background, but I'm thinking the shop is too small. I shall add a smaller building attached to the main one and I'm probably gonna loose the tree. I'll probably remove the skullpost thingy or the barrel and add a path. I'll think about the shadows. Once I do that I'll update this and the first posts...
BTW The main character name's Biblos the Wizzard.

EDIT: I've made the newest version check the first post or look at this:

I'm quite happy with it and I feel I'm ready to move on. But please critic.

Or hire people to do scripting and all the rest, too, and buy them donuts or drinks.

Where do I sign? I'd kill for a donut.

Guess what, it's me again...Ã, Since most tutorials are so boring (and I'm at work far, far away from my own computer)I made an easy and short one....

Easy&Short Tutorial about making sprites and stuff...

Hey, kids, we are going to make a pumpkin head today! It's easy... Grab your mouses, open MSPaint, read this and enjoy.

1. Start with an oval shape.
2. Add eyes, nose, mouth.
3. Mirror the face.
4. Remove double pixels.
5. Colour the face.
6. Add some details and shades.

Thats it... Now try doing something else.Ã,  ;)

TIPS: Use the zoom, allways brush your teeth and use references for everything you draw.

The Rumpus Room / Re: AGS Questionaire!
Thu 06/04/2006 22:17:02
Name: Krasimir Savov A.K.A. Relentless

Age: 21.

Female/male: Last time I checked I was Male

1. How long have you been involved in the AGS community?

A year or so...

2. Why did you get involved in AGS?

Its something I allways wanted to do, and it is fun.

3. How do you feel that the fact that AGS is a freeware programme affect the community that has built up around it?

I love it. People here rule.

4. How big a part does the AGS community play in your life?

I check the forums dayly and I read allmost every new tread.

5. Have you been involved in making any games using AGS (You may list them if you want)?

I have tryed to make games by myself and I've failed each time... But I did make the artwork for mozza's latest game that is not released yet.

6. Answer these questions if you have been involved in making AGS games:

a. Were you interested in game design/programming before you started using AGS?

Indeed. I've tryed RPG Maker and Game Maker but now AGS is my favorite.

b. If no, do you feel that you would have got into game design without AGS?

I have no idea.

c. Do you make games using other programmes, either freeware or not? How does the eperience differ?

AGS is the only tool I need for now.

d. Has AGS inspired you to try and take up game design professionally?

I doubt anyone would care if I do...

7. Do you feel that there is a gender divide in the AGS community?

I respect girl members (Um... that sounds so stupid). In the forum boys and girls are equal. All you get is a handle, an avatar and a signature... We are all people.Ã,

8. Are you likely to feel differently about a game if you discover it's made by a female? In what way?

I doubt it. Games are games.

9. Do you feel that AGS makes it easier for females to get involved in computer game design? In what way?

AGS is a program that can be used by both genders.Ã,  ;D

10. Do you feel that there is a difference between the types of games created by males and females?

Some girls make better games.

11. Any other comments?

"I am your Father!" "Yeah, right!"
