The first one is 4 colors made with paint. The second one is the same image only soften enough. I never tried it but if u want u might first do a simple low colored version with paint then animate it and if u think u r ready with it you can still soften it to make it more colours.

Animating a dog is a hard thing I guess but SpacePirateCaine's dog looks like its sneezing.

I really dont want to be harsh but he looks like a Lego's Darth Sidious figure.

Y not add a light otr sumthin?
It doesn't look like a corner to me. Looks like a small curve. ypu can add an edge. And give the player more eyecandy. Garbage cans, posters. Maybe more of the city too. 

OK. Time for a few friendly tips.
1. No need for shading or light at this point, first make the room basic layout. When you think you R ready with the room start doin the lighting according to the light source(s).
2. Dont go out of the line like with the windowshade.
3. All lines are too gray, all colors too. Add come color. Looks like a morgue.
4. Check the perspective by pasting this image in Paint and drawing bright green or yelow lines over your lines.
5. U can trip on a doorstep like this, and if it opens to the room than u cant turn on the light. Besides the desk is gonna jam it a bit.
6. Make your own posters either by tracing pics or by drawing them by yourself.
7. Take a pensil and a piece of paper and draw a layoult of the room. It saves time.
8. The window looks flat. and the PC is too small.
