Great job. :)
The doors dont look the same size wich is a bit strange. The right one seems narrow. And the right cupboard's side is a bit too ")" if u know what I mean. But its great. :)
Is that a another MM remake or something? Oh, and it looks like a concept art more than a room.

This is the last version and I am pretty happy with it. Better start the next background couse otherwise "Beano&Butch" (My first game I hope) will take forever to make. 10x for the crithics and help. :)

It looks really good to me. Reminds me of The Hellboy comics. The problem is that is way too dark.Ã,  :-\

I dont know if I have the right to vote but still... I VOTE FOR loominous! He is too good. ;D

EDIT: Come to think of it loominous made a great, great image but it really cant be usefull as a background. Besides I cant really vote. :P

He is a cute one. :)

Mybe just move the neck a pixel to the left. Not the head, just the neck... :)

The poster doesnt really look right. Its too much colors and it doesnt fit the look of the game.
I bothered doing this to give you a idea of how I think a poster or image from a foto should look in a game looking like yours. Hope it helps.Ã,  ;D

Notice that I tilted the poster slightly. I just think strait horisontal and vertical lines looks odd and loses some of the "cartoony" look in a background.
Oh, and sorry if it aint too corect but It looked like a zombie shot few times and losing his head. Maybe it isnt. I cant really tell. :)

10x guys u are right about allmost everything. :)

  1. Mountains - I know they could be mountains in the  distance but I want to give the player a "Middle of nowhere" feel.
  2. Parking - I wanted to make a parking between the tower and the restaurant. But it seams I really have no idea how it should look and how its connected with the road. Help, please..
  3. Plants and shape of american deserts - I'm gonna watch a few westerns and hopeit helps. :)
  4. The restaurant is a bit bigger inside than outside.  ;D
  5. Other stuff - There are a few other buildings closely (I aint sure what but a gas station, motel and a small store sound good to me. A big Truck somewhere. And maybe a museum or something. I'll figure it later. ) Its all 10 meters left of the tower or on the other side of the road I aint sure yet.
  6. The Space ship is actually there at the begining of the game but it aint there later.  :)

Here is a newer version I still cant make the parking:

I dont mind but... why not try to make your own rooms? Makes more sence than simply copying. :)

Because I'm crap at drawingÃ,  :-[
but yea i am planning on drawing the rest of the room (and my other rooms) all by myself.
Just out of interest, dou you draw your backgrounds by hand first and then scan them in?

Lol, it allmost sounds like I'm some sort of a real artist.  ;D
Anyway I just draw a rough layout with bright green lines and then start adding other lines, color, shading. Some of the objects I make separate to make sure it looks good. But I guess you should read a tutorial instead of listening to me - I really aint got enough experience with this. :)
And a real good advice from me: never use .JPG. It looks horoble and destroys every nice color or line u have into sum fuzzy blur. The .PNG is basicly the best for me. :)

It reminds me of my background. The one with the At-At and the Canadian flag. :)

A watertower hit by an UFO and a burger joint in the middle of an american desert. What do you think?
