Wow dude! You really got an originally licenced replica of a Space PhaserĂ¢,,¢, that gun the evil aliens used to dissolve the hero's red shirts in the popular 70's scifi-show Space Fleet Elite 2405 A.D.! The show was just a bad rip off of Star Trek, but it's far cooler merchandise really brought home the bacon for the TV Channel.
Surprisingly the batteries still work, but unfortunately that sweet light effect has some slack joint and several lamps are broken. I am sure really passionate collectors of that old jun... ehm antique toys could still pay a sweet amount. I'd suggest a 40$ price tag (batteries not included).

Thank you all for giving me your thoughts!

@Blondbraid: This idea I think could actually work, but in your perspective and with the 2:1 positioning you create a really frightening atmosphere, which by all means has to be avoided in these meetings (and should not be described as that to the player). Thats why in this situation the interpreter sits besides the refugee or the three form a equilateral triangle. Also I thought about giving the player a hint, what the official thinks about the Stuff you as a refugee tell him/her via three simplified facial expressions of doubt, empathy or "poker face".

@Others: 1st person perspective is an idea I really like and would consider, if this game weren't the base for a scientific study where every change of the POV could influence the educational effect on the player while playing. It could change for example, how the player is processing the information he gets while playing, just because he is more involved, seeing the game through the refugees eyes.

Any other ideas of how to design the scene colorwise to make it look confidential but not like an interrogation?

Store name: (K)NIGHT WASH
Store color: Lightblue/silver
Store detail: In the store windows you can see heavily rotating and dangerously vibrating washing machines. In one machine is a pair of small eyes (somebody threw his - as I hope - pet in the machine)
Store logo: a polished knight, clean as a whistle, is riding a washing machine
Description of employee: Not an employee but a female customer with a huge pile of freshly washed cloths in her basket
Store's event: If you trigger the store event early enough, the female customer opens the store door and a broken machine produces a mountain of suds that saves the dude from some hazards. If you do it too late, the customer slips after coming out of the store and her pile of cloths is tumbling down on the dirty, muddy street, screwing her day.

From: 1LIEUT Pearson

Sir,
the 6th Bat. succeeded sabotaging the Nazi research facility "Zukunftswerk" in Bergheim near Nurnberg. Thereby we seized the applied blue prints of a new battle tank model the enemy calls "Tolkien". Most of the prints are heavily redacted but our translator says, the Krauts seem to be working on some kind of cross-axled super mobile and super heavy battle tank with a quad gun turret.
Our experts don't believe the Fuhrer will have the ressources to even build a prototype before the war ends, but if this tank would get into production the enemy will have a huge battle advantage on wide areas for it's excellent mobility and battle flexibility. Also the concept of a quadruple turret is vastly increasing the rate of fire thus it's posing a great danger for most of our smaller tank units.

I am awaiting your commands, how to proceed with this information at hand.
1st LIEUT Pearson

I think a combination of the BgSpeech module in this particular room and some if-prompt in the rep_exec_always of the global script could work. Just let him say the stuff you want with the module and let the game check, if he says one particular phrase number via BgSpeech.GetCurrentPlayingIndex();, to play a particular audiofile.

This is the module:
