Well, in this story he's usually a blind man who's just had an operation to make him see, and when the train goes in the tunnel he either dies of fright or commits suicide. So is that the solution, or is there even more to it?

Was he sleeping when the train drove into a tunnel, woke up and thought that he got blind because the lights didn't work?

@Snarky: But it sounds like you knew the story. So maybe for future investigations those who know the circumstances of the events could give the unkown ones a chance to find it out themselves.

Some of you guys may know the game principle from the playing cards series called "Black Stories".
