@Danvzare:
Spoiler
With "episodic" I don't mean there are several movies. I mean the movie is separated in different plots that are loosely connected (like Babel, Crash or 11:14)

I am using sketchup too. It's by far the simpliest 3D design software I found until today (30mins playing around and you should understand 80% of how to create even semicomplex objects). It's for free, as far as you don't wanna do more complex stuff. One problem is the lack of light sources though, but at least there is real time sunlight if you wanna see light beams and shadows falling through windows and stuff in your rooms realistically. For that you just need to turn on the sunlight option and then you can simulate the position of the sun for every time of the day and every day of the year while continuing to design the project/room/whatever. For other light sources you'd need to install plugins like the one that connects sketchup with the small render software "Kerkythea".

Wait, what?! 8-0 (laugh)
Wasn't random at all, it's just that both films have very similar interior shots (or I thought they do...)

Please tell us what hint you meant in the last picture. I can't see anything but feet, the carpet and a cupboard... or is it the nightgown???

On to the next one... Gotta find a good one this time, I guess...

Rosemary's Baby?

Wow, Danvzare. Your sign on the right hit me hard and made my day! It's actually absolutely brillant.

May we expect more of this lunacy in the rest of the game?

@arj0n: OMG I love to play a futurama fan adventure! It looks so cute! I noticed two things about Bender though (is critique even wanted in this thread?):
1) He is missing a speech animation. Is this on purpose because it looks ugly for you with such a low res sprite or did you animate it already in the newer version?
2) The character sprite looks a bit rough in the shower scene in front of some of the walls, because you scaled it up really hard. Maybe the sprite works better with some outlines?

I really recommend, you find your definite style before going over all the other characters again 8-0 8-0 8-0
The last version is very cool and brings back the feeling I missed in the skinny style. I guess you are into these kick ass boots now. I liked the shoes in your fifth version a bit more, as they were the only thing that showed me visually, that Baley is a girl. You designed her pretty manly now and even more in your last version. Maybe a slightly wider hip or rather that typical triangle shaped upper body could help strengthen this without losing to much of her toughness. Here is what I mean.

the first is your version. The second has a 2 pixels wider hip and upper body, the second only has a 2 pixels wider hip. In both versions I moved the crotch a few pixels up.

First: Blondbraid, thanks for pointing me onto this nice detail. I totally missed that sweet skin game (laugh) :=
About your complaint: I guess it's pretty accurate that a girly looking women in 1914-1918 didn't wear trousers, but a night gown or some women's underwear (this can't be a mini skirt, because it has not been invented at that time afaik :P) and over it that long leather coat. And as you guys said, Pinback seems to have been inspired by Sucker Punch at some point, in which Zack Snyder has shown us perfectly, that women warriors can indeed kick ass and wear very short skirts at the same time. 8-)

Obligatory hymn of a praise for Pinback: These sketches, concept arts and animations are just pure AWESOMENESS. I so wanna play a game of this kind!

In my opinion your first style looks much more serious because of the great face details(that black guy is giving me the creeps! 8-0), the second one is still good (only baley is too colorful for me aswell), but I don't feel the same tension there. I would love to play a cartoonic yet serious themed game. This ambivalence in an adventure game could be a really cool thing to experience and somehow unique! (But I am myself trying to create a cartoonic yet realistic and serious game for over a year now... (roll))

more vacation or on

Are these copied furnitures just place holders or will I find this chairs and this cupboards in every room? (laugh) :=

This breaks a bit the immersion for me. Please give us more diversity!

about your question: Can you do a clean render of the image in reply #34? It looks very natural but maybe too good in high quality. But I love the bumb map you used for the ceiling. It Has a really nice effect on the way I experience the room.

I implemented BASS successfully in 3.4.0.7 and 3.4.0.10. Afaik the only compatibility problem I encountered has been some lines with processclick which had to be changed to room.processclick. Or am I wrong there?
